Was amazing. Elan you are the best. Thanks so much for such a lovely, delicious evening!
Always a enjoyable dinning experience, and the food/sushi was yummy. Our server did a great job as well.
Wifey and I celebrated our Anniversary and it was part of most fantabulous night. Complimentary prosecco, shrimp and vegetable tempura, amazing sushi that just melted in your mouth, and Sasa Ramen. We didn't have room for dessert but we were good. Mariel was our host and she was excellent!!!
We will be back for certain!!!
GREAT JOB EVERYONE
I eat here often. My favorite Denver restaurant. Never ever disappointed.
Fabulous food, gorgeous presentation, excellent service.
amazing gluten free selection! fresh and everything we got tasted delish!!
Don’t know what happened to this place it used to be good. Horrible sashimi platter
My fiance and I will definitely be going back!
This was the perfect place to spend our anniversary dinner. Wonderful atmosphere and wonderful drinks. Sushi Sasa's sushi is so fresh it melts in your mouth. Everything was wonderful. Thank you for making our anniversary so special.
Sasa is the Best sushi in Denver and beyond!!!
Average sushi. Even worse, impersonal service
This was our first time going after hearing tons of friends recommend coming here for sushi. I would for sure say they have sushi down, it was amazing. The disappointment was the oysters we ordered, first asked for them to come as an appetizer, our sushi came out first, which sucks but whatever. We both tasted the oysters and instantly knew they were bad, incredibly fishy, and they weren’t even cold, we didn’t even try to have another one. We absolutely love oysters, but something was super off about these. All said and done though, again, I would for sure return for the sushi.. but probably wait a while...
Menu is more limited right now than it used to be, but food is still good. Food quality in Many other restaurants has dropped off since CoVid. Still good here.
Felt safe and food was as food as always.
I have been a huge fan of Sushi Sasa since it opened over 14 years ago, dining several times a year for corporate lunches and special occasions, considering it the best sushi place in town. I hadn't been back for a while, for obvious reasons. I was disappointed last night with the slow/poor service, the loud echoing extended room next door, and while the food was good, it was not outstanding or innovative like it used to be.
I understand we're in COVID times, but the online menu was detracting, disorganized and hard to read (and weirdly, listed under the name of a sister restaurant, not SS). The sushi was not even on it, so we had to pass the tiny sushi menu paper one at a time around the table, and then again to finalize our orders. They should have the sushi menu and roll explanation on the online menu and with hyperlinks at the top so you don't have to scroll way down past the cocktail and Japanese food menu.
I'm also not a fan of the new food selection, especially the funky and overpriced seaweed salad combo which they failed to serve us and then charged us for when we asked for it again after dinner (no comp and our sushi took forever to come, despite it being late and not full). The lemon garlic edamame was yummy though. Disappointing and overpriced experience overall for a birthday celebration.
I really enjoyed the whole atmosphere and everyone was super nice
Our favorite sushi in Denver 💗
Spent my birthday at one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. Everything exceeded our expectations.
We were told that this was a great restaurant, decided to book it for a birthday celebration and we were extremely disappointed. The service was awful! Truly awful. For $230 for two people it was a complete waste of money and a birthday dinner. The waitress was not helpful. She did not even know that we were celebrating a birthday, nor did she ask about anything at all, not even how our dinner or food tasted. Felt like we were an inconvenience to her not a guest to the restaurant. I will not go back. I suggest you try at Sushi Ronin or Uchi next time. Another table next to us seemed disappointed as well, I do not advise going here. Bummed.
Some of the best sushi in town! The Philadelphia roll was really spectacular, the salmon was very smokey which is a nice touch. The hamachi was absolutely perfect, some of the best I've ever had.
The in house salad's presentation alone makes it a must for almost any meal and it really takes advantage of the late fall lettuces.
Amazing as usual! Love their food specially their plum wine 😂🎉😎
Really good food. I would definitely tell my friends about this place
We hadn’t seen the waiter serving us for a while so we asked a differed waiter for two bowls of soup while we were waiting for our sushi. After waiting for about an hour we inquired about the soup and were met with a weird stare. After some time, we were brought just one soup bowl, not the two we ordered, and the soup was cold. I had a great experience the first time I was there but this second time I’m disappointed by the service. Due to the bad service I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.
Great food but very underwhelming service. Don’t know if it was due to COVID or just a standard Friday night here, but we were simultaneously rushed AND ignored. Sushi came out before the appetizer (which never made it) and we sat with empty drinks waiting to order more food for 10 minutes before giving up and grabbing the check. The fish was fresh and the sake delicious, but there are too many other sushi joints that deliver the full experience to give this one a second chance
A former colleague of the sushi chef recommended we visit Sushi Sasa when we moved to Denver. There is parking, which is rare in Denver and the space is beautiful. They handled social distancing well and we felt safe and taken care of. The sashimi Toro was probably the best Toro I have ever had. Period. The rest of the meal, however, was considered only 'decent'. The oysters, which were west coast (usually smaller) were MASSIVE and mushy. I ordered a roll that had strawberry on it, as that was very interesting and something I had never had. The first bite was awful. It started to taste better once it was blended in your mouth, but having the strawberry on top brought way too much sweetness. Perhaps if the strawberry was incorporated into the roll it would have been better. The rest of the meal was good-but not great. Finally, it is expensive. I have been to competitors to Sushi Sasa in Denver and spent much less money. I wouldn't deter anyone from going to Sushi Sasa-it is good. It won't however, be the best sushi you have ever had (with the exception of the Toro).
I went here for my birthday and was sat in the corner. The food was delicious but it was really frustrating that I was sat in the corner so I felt alone and hidden. Wish I would have had better seating. Glad the sushi was yummy though and the service was good.
Server wasn’t engaged. Rushed our bill. Food good
We had a wonderful experience. The food was fantastic! We didn't realize how much we ordered.. that was our only downfall. However we have a great assortment of leftovers.
Omakase was wonderful and fun. Great food presentation, fresh and inventive.
Great place to celebrate our anniversary! Great food and recommendations from our server. Nice ambiance as well.
Food was great!
As good as it gets. Fresh, melts in your mouth, simply outstanding!!!
Excellent sushi. Service was very good. Great saki selection.
Sushi Sasa has a cool vibe and great service. Tables were nicely separated, but not so much so that you felt isolated. Enjoyable dinner.
The sushi was incredible- the rice wasn’t too sticky. Ambiance is nothing to rave about but definitely nice.
Great environment and professional service given the times right now.
