We went as a family, they allowed my wife and I to have Omakase (taste menu) meal and we could order for the kids.... very great experience and would recommend to anyone want to have a spectator evening.
We had a reservation from 5-6:30 and while we enjoyed our time at Sushi Sasa, we were disappointed by how long it took to get our food. We got our appetizers promptly but it was about 35-40 minutes after we finished our apps that we finally got our main course (which we ordered at the same time as the appetizers). It was around 6:15 at that point and unfortunately we felt we couldn’t order anything else after that since our reservation was almost up at that point. It was a little frustrating. The food was great but it is definitely expensive (the quality was really good but portions were pretty small). I’d definitely go back but hope next time the food gets out a bit quicker!
Coming back soon and ordering the Omakase again! Delish!
Some fish was a little watery but the service was great.
Amazed at the artistry and complexity of the sushi rolls. The dining area was very comfortable at COVID restricted spacing. Would recommend to everyone!
Service with Madison was great! Food was not very good, this was our 2nd time trying it.
It was amazing like it always is. We’re super happy they are back open
My favorite sushi restaurant in Denver!! Gorgeous in the daytime with the sunlight!
Sushi Sasa continues to provide excellent dining to Colorado Sushi lovers. Sasa is always our first choice.
One of our go-to's :-) Great spot for good food and unique rolls. On paper some look strange but give them a try and you won't be dissapointed.
We love Sushi Sasa. The sushi is delicious, fresh and service is great. One thing, with COVID, although the seating capacity was limited, it was still kind of loud.
FANTASTIC BEST SUSHI IN DENVER !!
As usual, the food was outstanding. What was equally good and maybe better was the server - she was over the top good, Covid safe and went over and beyond helping us social distance, protect one another, etc.,
So good!! This restaurant never disappoints! Thank you chef Wayne and all your team for another great dining experience
The food was very good but the atmosphere needs work. We were sat in the basement when plenty of tables were open upstairs. The only server was the bartender and he did a good job but had too many tables to make drinks for so the service was slow.
better than ever!! Food was amazing + service was great.
Best sushi in Denver. Better than sushi den for sure. Fresher fish, unique flavors, wonderful presentation, and stellar service. Chef Elan prepared an amazing
genmaicha coated yellowtail sashimi dish that was simply amazing.
The ambiance was quite sterile and the food wasn’t where I would expect for the price point. Service was good and the black Cos was great
Amazing food! Elevated sushi experience. Cocktails were so good. New favorite sushi place!
Birthday dinner. My group of friends didn’t know what to expect as I was the only one that has been here. They were blown away by how good the Sushi was and the overall experience. A++
Waitress was very rude and impatient
Was amazing. Elan you are the best. Thanks so much for such a lovely, delicious evening!
Always a enjoyable dinning experience, and the food/sushi was yummy. Our server did a great job as well.
Wifey and I celebrated our Anniversary and it was part of most fantabulous night. Complimentary prosecco, shrimp and vegetable tempura, amazing sushi that just melted in your mouth, and Sasa Ramen. We didn't have room for dessert but we were good. Mariel was our host and she was excellent!!!
We will be back for certain!!!
GREAT JOB EVERYONE
I eat here often. My favorite Denver restaurant. Never ever disappointed.
Fabulous food, gorgeous presentation, excellent service.
amazing gluten free selection! fresh and everything we got tasted delish!!
Don’t know what happened to this place it used to be good. Horrible sashimi platter
My fiance and I will definitely be going back!
This was the perfect place to spend our anniversary dinner. Wonderful atmosphere and wonderful drinks. Sushi Sasa's sushi is so fresh it melts in your mouth. Everything was wonderful. Thank you for making our anniversary so special.
Sasa is the Best sushi in Denver and beyond!!!
Average sushi. Even worse, impersonal service
This was our first time going after hearing tons of friends recommend coming here for sushi. I would for sure say they have sushi down, it was amazing. The disappointment was the oysters we ordered, first asked for them to come as an appetizer, our sushi came out first, which sucks but whatever. We both tasted the oysters and instantly knew they were bad, incredibly fishy, and they weren’t even cold, we didn’t even try to have another one. We absolutely love oysters, but something was super off about these. All said and done though, again, I would for sure return for the sushi.. but probably wait a while...
Menu is more limited right now than it used to be, but food is still good. Food quality in Many other restaurants has dropped off since CoVid. Still good here.
Felt safe and food was as food as always.
I have been a huge fan of Sushi Sasa since it opened over 14 years ago, dining several times a year for corporate lunches and special occasions, considering it the best sushi place in town. I hadn't been back for a while, for obvious reasons. I was disappointed last night with the slow/poor service, the loud echoing extended room next door, and while the food was good, it was not outstanding or innovative like it used to be.
I understand we're in COVID times, but the online menu was detracting, disorganized and hard to read (and weirdly, listed under the name of a sister restaurant, not SS). The sushi was not even on it, so we had to pass the tiny sushi menu paper one at a time around the table, and then again to finalize our orders. They should have the sushi menu and roll explanation on the online menu and with hyperlinks at the top so you don't have to scroll way down past the cocktail and Japanese food menu.
I'm also not a fan of the new food selection, especially the funky and overpriced seaweed salad combo which they failed to serve us and then charged us for when we asked for it again after dinner (no comp and our sushi took forever to come, despite it being late and not full). The lemon garlic edamame was yummy though. Disappointing and overpriced experience overall for a birthday celebration.
I really enjoyed the whole atmosphere and everyone was super nice
