Quiet time when we arrived so we were seated right away. Servers were attentive but not overly so, just right. We had a couple apps and entrees, overall food was pretty good. We both had red wine and it was served at room temperature, which on this day was a bit too warm (upper seventies). Overall a good spot and great value for the central location.
Exceptional service, otherworldly good food, and a fantastic space. Can't wait to go back.
Food and service as always were great. One of our favorite restaurants downtown. Easy access for us with the lightrail
To whom it may concern, Please do not insult people’s intelligence by serving the 1/2 lobster as an appetizer! For $35, we expected a succulent and delicious serving, instead, we were given the SMALLEST 1/2 lobster we had ever seen as well as the discomfort of having to use our hands to crack part of it! I dislike having to use my hands AT A RESTAURANT of this caliber; therefore, we ate the 2” by 1” piece, which of course was the only part exposed! Finally, the waiter, offered to take the item off the bill but I guess he changed his mind. According to him, we ATE the lobster, maybe he couldn’t see very well or missed it like we did! Finally, stop giving out certificates or dumb discounts trying to rectify your mishandle of meals. I as a customer, don’t expect anything for free; however, I expect and demand quality!!! Awful experience with the lobster!!!
Celebrating a promotion.
Incredible drinks and oysters during happy hour! Lovely to sit outside union station on a beautiful day with good food and good friends.
Everything was great except the duck wings were a little tough and didn’t taste Vietnamese.
Wonderful food and great service!
Always solid and best gazpacho ever! Service was impeccable. Keep it up!
great wait staff, delicious seafood. Cornbread wasn’t as good as I expected or burger.
Great food, as always! Wonderful,
Memorable night. Thanks!
our first table was not desirable but then at our request the server, Dominique, moved to 2-tops together in a better location
The crab legs were over priced and were almost unbeatable…
Fresh seafood and excellent service. Love it! We shared a small tower and a Connecticut lobster roll. Both were great!
Dined out in the front patio - a lovely evening and a great spot to people-watch. Oysters were great - nice selection. Dined on small plates - all delicious. Loved the watermelon gazpacho. And the cornbread is a must-get. They were out of the burrata and peaches which we were looking forward to. Next time. Definitely recommend!
We have been coming to Stoic & Genuine for years now. It never disappoints. The cocktails with granita are a must! Last night we had the most amazing hamachi yellow fin tuna dish and a mouth watering duck and pasta dish.
Awesome meal. Loved everything we had except the lobster roll -served cold and bland. The mussels and tempura broccolini were amazing. Sweater weather cocktail was delicious.
Haven't been to stoic & genuine in years. It used to be one of it favorites. Although this is just one negative experience the restaurant seemed like it went way down hill. The food selection seemed more like bar food with a fish slang (lobster roll, cheeseburger, haddock and fries, tempura broccoli Robb). The food was not good. It looked bad and tasted the same. The only exception was he lobster roll I ordered which was good but that's because it's lobster, butter, grilled bun. It's like grilled cheese, hard not to like.
Good amazing as always. Thanks Jen!
Sylvester also amazing!
Rashan…. Not so much.
As always, Stoic and Genuine was delightful and adventurous. Beginning with the freshest oysters in Denver, and continuing on to the rotating entree menu, everything was flawless. The service was personable and efficient, and we took advantage of a beautiful early fall night on the promenade. All-in-all, a perfect experience.
Pricing considering I had to chase the server down twice, food is good, and the cocktails are exceptional.
Great experience. Everyone was super friendly and made our dining experience awesome.
Great location, great atmosphere, stellar service and amazing food.
Good food and good service. I recommend this restaurant if you are seafood lover.
Neat restaurant with attentive support staff. The wait staff was decent but not great, seemed to be short staffed or unsure how to deal with people who order food for the table family style in order to try more things.
The food was very expensive for what it was, on top of that, the food was just OK. The accompaniments were better than the meal.
We had a good time but probably won’t be back. Too many other restaurants in the area or CC
This was our worst dinner experience in a long time!! We ordered king crab legs and a chicken dish. Both turned up cold, the chicken was inedible!! We asked the server (who was lovely) to credit our entrees and we left. Haven’t done that in many years! Can’t describe how poor the food was.
Our server was exceptional. My husband who is not a seafood lover got the chicken and thought it was perfect. I loved the lobster! The slushy strawberry vodka drink was so good I had two of them!
One of my favorites in town. Chef Jen is amazing with her presentation of food and bringing tastes that you will find no where else. Our server was over the top knowledgeable and was having some fun recommending drinks to us
By far, the best dining experience we’ve ever had in Denver (and ine of the best we’ve had anywhere in a very long time!). The food was exquisite. Absolutely delicious. Every bite was better than the one before! The service was extraordinary. Fabulous, fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, incredible wine/ beer list. Just the perfect meal from start to finish. Can’t wait to return to Stoic & Genuine.
Amazing food - we have been several times and never disappoints! Oysters are always fresh and delicious. Try the peach and burrata salad 🤤 wish I would have taken pictures but we are it so fast!!! Can not wait to go back 💙
We enjoyed a memorable meal. The service that Amber provided was top notch. The curried mussels were delicious with our gin and tonics. The whole haddock was spectacular and easy to share.
We brought friends from Oregon to have the wonderful oysters. They were magnificent, as usual. The service was impeccable, knowledgeable, attentive and helpful. When asked to “surprise me” with a dessert martini, OH WOW!!!! What a wonderful concoction. The burrata peach salad was to die for. And the Bananas Foster cheesecake couldn’t have been more perfect in taste, texture, density and serving size. The perfect end to a perfect meal.
We truly enjoyed the fresh seafood tower and drinks for my Husband’s birthday celebration. We had fresh oysters, sashimi, shrimp, and crab legs, Yum!!! Tyler took super good care of us and a shout out to Nickolas as well for singing Happy Birthday with us. We will definitely come back when we’re in town.
Every meal we’ve had there was great, and this was one of the best. Especially loved the sea bass crudo and the duck wings. Really enjoyed all of our cocktails too, and we sampled most of the cocktail menu around the table. This place continues to be a favorite
Came to the restaurant to celebrate one year living in Denver. We were running late so we called ahead while we tried to look for parking and no one bothered to answer. When we arrived there was no host or anyone to check in with, just a server passing by who became our server. We were asked if we wanted to sit outside and we said yes, so she sat us at one of the farthest possible tables from the restaurant. The server didn’t leave the water bottle at the table, we were harassed several times by people walking by, and were continually disappointed by the lack of service.
When we did see her, she was trying to take things away from the table as fast as she could, even taking my drink before I was finished. When she’d pour us water she’d ignore my girlfriend’s thank yous and when we asked for things or when I myself said thank you she would respond with “yeah”.
The food was overpriced for the quality we received as well. We ordered the Tower 95 and it was very nice, but our entrees were lacking flavor and they were not hot.
My girlfriend and I have no problem spending a little more money on quality, but for $300 we expected a lot more.
We’re both servers ourselves and we take a lot of pride in the way we do our steps of service and this was just not it.
For these prices, you’re much better off going to Ocean Prime. We will not be recommending this place to any of our friends.
Good food as always !!
Husband said the oysters in the tower were very good; the crab was also very good. The sea salt on the shrimp was not my style-too heavy for shrimp. The peach burrata salad was excellent. The ono dish was not very good. The fish was overcooked and very dry. The Connecticut lobster role was good according to my husband. The strawberry granita was tasty. For my second cocktail I asked the server if they made kir royales and she told me no -- she didn't even check. I could see from the menu they had creme de cassis and champagne so of course they could make it. I asked the next server and she brought it to me, but it was served in a wine glass. Way too much cocktail. I don't like how far the restaurant is from the bathroom. As the night wore on the area in between began to feel unsafe. Quite expensive for what you get. I don't think I'll be going back.
Our first visit was lovely. Our waiter, Hutch, was knowledgeable and professional. We appreciate this in a server. The whole haddock and sea bass entres were delicious. We started by sharing the NY strip & tuna carpaccio which was very flavorful. I should have added the peach and burrata salad, but it gives me a reason to return. Our dinner was topped off by the chewy blondie.
Fantastic. Can’t wait to come back
Very nice outdoor dining.
