I was prepared NOT to like STK since I don't think its vibe fits in with Denver's cowboy & mining past. And I doubt I'd visit on a weekend when I suspect the crowd is too "wanna be Miami or LA". I took clients in town for a conference on Tuesday evening and had a wonderful experience. Hands down it was the best steak (10 oz filet) I've had in Denver since moving here 6 years ago. The cut and quality was absolutely sublime. I saved 1/4 and the leftover was almost as delicious the next day for lunch.
Service is top notch. I have a food intolerance and our server was very knowledgable about the menu and patient with my peccadilloes with alliums. As a former server in the Hamptons and NYC I was very impressed by the level of service she provided.
It's expensive, everything from the glasses of wine, sides, and add ons to steaks. However you know that going into it and it's worth it, especially for special occasions. Or if you're on an expense account.
Excellent food and service every time I've been there! Love the decor and its super convenient for dinner before DCPA and Pepsi Center events.
We went for a friends bachelorette party and they made sure she was super happy the whole time. The places was more beautiful that I thought from the photos. Absolutely wonderful I will be coming back as much as I possibly can. The food was out of this world. The manager was wonderful and our servers were more than we could ask for.
I already went to STK Vegas and I was hoping the same atmosphere. And I was right on the spot. I went Friday night to enjoy the music and the food. I tried the filet with 3 pepper crusted and red wine sauce. We also ordered Parmesan Truffle Frites. As dessert we had a warm chocolate chip coookies. The night was amazing!
Awesome ambiance and food . Great place to have dinner & drinks with friends and family.
We came here for dinner for my husbands birthday. We have an almost one year old, so we had an early bird dinner. The drinks were delicious and the food was cooked perfectly!
The ambiance was great, the service was outstanding , the Lobster Macaroni and Cheese was amazing but the chicken had no flavor/seasoning it was bland.
STK blew my expectations out of the water. The service was amazing and our server was very attentive. He provided some great recommendations and we took him up on most of them. Although, I don’t think you could go wrong with any item on the menu here. We had the tuna tartare as an app and plan to go back just to have that again - it was delicious. For entrees we have the scallops and short ribs. The short ribs were quite possibly my favorite meal ever. The tater tots are not your regular tots and I’d also recommend them as a side. Overall, I’d 10/10 recommend this restaurant to everyone and will be going back.
The steak was not cooked the way we ordered it medium. They had run out of breadAnd did not offer us an appetizer or anything else in place of that. Until we said something and then I had to send my steak back everybody else was too hungry and ate it rare ended up with stomach aches.. They did not have a medium-size fillet that was out of stock we waited over an hour even though it was not even busy—and had a $400 bill for 5 people!!The whole experience was very disappointing. The best part was my $15 mule drink. Don’t waste your money
Great service, food was delicious. Server was very helpful
We went for dinner about a year ago and it was outstanding, the steak & sides were perfection. We decided to go back and celebrate Mother's Day --and for a bill of $280 w/tip for 2 adults and a child, it unfortunately disappointed. It looked great, the service was great, very festive with make your own flower bouquets and the staff was very attentive and kind for how busy they were. They were patient as I was seated but my husband who dropped me off, was delayed due to a fender bender. However, they didn't rush us out and were understanding. I loved the crab claws and shrimp, very fresh and not freezer burnt like some buffets. However, everything else was very under-par. Especially the only steak option was a rare NY Strip. I like my steak pretty red, but it was bloody and cold. So, for steak lovers, we were all disappointed. And the short rib was never available, only bits mixed in the potatoes. Great presentation though, the potato bar, the make your own doughnut bar, all very cute. Unfortunately, the taste/quality was a bit disappointing for this price point. We thought we could order steaks off the menu, but due to the demand of the buffet, we understand why this wasnt an option. I would come back for a normal dinner and give it a try on a regular night, but not for a buffet again. I should say, we typically dont like buffets to begin with, as the food quality is tough to meet a high customer demand. So, we still like STK and recommend it, especially for happy hour, I just wanted to give feedback to help them if they should decide to do additional buffets, maybe less items offered as to not sacrifice the taste quality.
Great atmosphere and the food was delicious but it was a bit pricey ($74 per person) for the buffet. It would have been nice if the the mothers got a complimentary glass of champagne. There was quite a variety of hot and cold food. There was a room was also a room that the children could make a bouquet of flowers.
We were hear for their mother’s Day brunch. It was good, but I know coming here outside of an event like this would probably be better.
We were there for Mother’s Day brunch. Absolutely terrible food for an astronomical price. I would never ever advise anyone go here for brunch. I have been here for dinner several times and it’s fine. They should be ashamed of themselves for charging the price they do for brunch given how poor the quality was.
I really enjoyed Mother's Day Brunch at STK. There were enough options to please most anyone's brunch preferences. The french toast was very decadent, and my son loved having mac & cheese and chocolate cake for breakfast! It was a bit expensive for a light eater, but if you came hungry you could definitely get your money's worth. There was also a lovely touch of a room full of flowers for children to make their own bouquets.
Food and service was very good. Although it was a bit noisy for our taste.
The steak was ok but not the best. Our server forgot to put in our side orders until AFTER we received our steaks... and took my food to box it up and never brought it back. The tables in the front are terrible- right by the door and the checkin desk. The tables in the back are much better ambiance but they wouldn’t move us.
It was ok. We were sat in the bar area and our table was very wobbly. We didn’t like the salads and the steaks were ok but could have used more flavor. Drinks & dessert were the best out of everything. For 2 the bill was $245.
Great food, great service but prices are too high. We can eat at other comparable high end steak restaurants for 20-30% less and have equal or better food. Not disappointed with overall experience but a bit surprised to drop $560 on a dinner for 4.
Steaks are not as good as "that other place." Everything else at STK is good.
Enjoyed the ambiance and choice of music
Great service, tasty food and upbeat music. Lindsey is awesome.
For $250.00 food was acceptable but pedestrian. Caesar salad and wait staff were excellent. Poor value for the product.
The food was great the service was good, one of our new favorite places to eat.
While I love Justin Bieber, I just didn't feel like he should be serenading me as I tried to enjoy my filet. The vibe was a little odd, prices a bit steep for my liking and the food was good, but not something I would recommend to others.
I work next door and needed an appropriate experience for a business lunch. We waited an hour for our food, which was a simple order for 4 people, 2 of us had salads. It was a disaster with the client I was entertaining. When the food finally arrived, my salad was half wilted and and the ingredients were dry and not fresh, especially the chicken. By the way, the restaurant was empty, which made for plenty of humor at our table as to why there was such a delay.
Food is adequare but not impressive. Somewhat overpriced and did not show any Imagination. Served warm but not hot, service was inconsistent. Music from the DJ was fine but seemed out of sync with the venue and crowd.
If you enjoy loud music while dining, then this the place for you. I, however, like to converse with my dinner companion and do not mind background music. The music at STK was so overbearing, the wine grossly overpriced, and the salads could have been purchased at a grocery store from the salad in a bag section. Very disappointed!
Service was a bit slow for lunchtime, yet food was great. Highly recommend STK signature French dip sandwich.
We stopped by for an early Easter dinner so the place was quiet with us at a table by the window and a few people at the bar. The decor is beautiful, modern and hip. Great music too! We had the 10 oz filet and 8 oz wagyu with truffle butter with a few sides (mushrooms, broccolini and Brussels sprouts) and started with the oysters and tuna tacos. Everything was absolutely delicious. They have a great happy hour everyday (I think).
I’m from NYC and highly recommend this place for happy hour or a nice dinner. We will be back soon!
We were at STK for brunch. The food was cold. The cost was ridiculous for what was delivered. The service was less than satisfactory (the waiter took our drink order and did not come back for 15 minutes. He never explained how the brunch buffet worked, so we sat there until the person came back around to pour more water and we asked her to explain) ~ I will NEVER go back! This place was awful. I should have gone to Capital Grille.
Went for Easter Brunch. What a HUGE disappoinment. Overpriced for rubbery cold frittata, watery scrambled eggs, dried out charcuterie, instant mashed potatoes. The desserts were dried out, the donut bar had stale cold donuts. Horrible experience. And no we won't be back for Mother's Day. Save your money and like someone else suggested drop $200 at Capital Grille or one of your other favorite seafood/steakhouses
Easter Brunch was wonderful!
Always an amazing experience. The mimosas were delicious and a well thought out menu.
Is a nice restaurant with a great ambiance if anyone is looking for music ,the food is good however I think is a little overprice for that you get .
Way overpriced - My girlfriend and I ordered NY Strip and a Filet - NY Strip was ordered at Medium and Filet was ordered Med Rare. We got beef jerkey. Both were WELL DONE. We informed management - they did offer to re-cook but we were so hungry that we declined and just asked for them to comp dessert. They comped dessert and one drink. The tall female manager was very apologetic. At least service was nice. However we ended up still paying almost 200$ for way overcooked steak and to be in an atmosphere where it was like eating in a club - music was incredibly loud - there was a photographer there that didn't have an umbrella over his flash and was blinding everyone in the place constantly - just a bad experience overall.
Excellent customer service!
Beyond wonderful, Dylan was being amazing!
We decided to have an early dinner on a Friday night to celebrate our anniversary and it paid off. It felt like we have the entire restaurant to ourselves. Our server was Dylan and he was great. Provided many recommendations and shared valuable conversation through your meal.
We enjoyed the following:
Strawberry Cobbler and STK Mule Cocktails to start
STK house made bread with blue cheese butter
Bottle of Stags Leap Petite Syrah
Tomahawk Steak for 2
Brussels Sprouts & Truffle Fries
Everything was delicious!!!!!
