Davonte did an amazing job! I can’t wait to come back! Food was amazing and the atmosphere is very nice! Perfect brunch spot.
Waitress was not very attentive. Food came out cold. Nice decor.
Great food, atmosphere, and drinks!
The service was TERRIBLE!!! The food was mediocre. 4 of us there for brunch we were sat 1 hour after our reservation. Once sat we had no water, when food came we only got 3 out of 4 dishes ordered so one guest had to sit there and wait another 15 minutes or so to get his meal which meant the rest of us were done by then. One side took about 30 minutes to come after they had served the dish ... who wants just bacon if you already ate your egg sandwich??? The place is really nice and maybe for drinks it might be worth it but definitely not for the food
We celebrated my clients birthday for Sunday Brunch and had a great time. The staff was very accommodating and the server was awesome. The rooftop patio with the DJ is an added plus to the ambiance. Thank you Hunter and Laura for making this birth very special for my client.
We spent this past Saturday night at Stirr with another couple - it seemed there was a large event taking place the same night. For this reason, it took about 40 minutes to receive our first drinks and another 30-40 each time we would order the next round. Our entrees were served in “rounds” with the first couple’s dinners arriving at least 30 minutes prior to our own. Thankfully we insisted they eat while we waited, otherwise their food would have been cold. Our waiter, Josiah, was doing the best he could under the circumstances, but we wound up having a three hour dinner due to the fact it took THAT long to be served. Thankfully we had great company, but the lack of attention to our table was really awful.
Great service. Great flavors.
Consistently excellent food, excellent presentation, and attentive service in an upbeat restaurant. Thanks again.
Awesome food, slow service.
Consistently good. I'm a repeat diner. They have a great rooftop with a beautiful on the main drag in Deep Ellum. It's the perfect spot for a great meal in the middle of all the activity of the area.
The food is great, fun atmosphere, with a nice view!
Would definitely recommend others, services was a little slow, overall great experience great place!!!
Perfectly nestled in the middle of Deep Ellum. This restaurant delivered on all counts. Trendy, tasty spot to visit again!
Food was underwhelming! Nashville hot chicken was sweet not hot (too much honey, not enough cayenne and spices). I’m from nashville so have had Princes hot chicken...this does not hold a candle to that! Mac and cheese was bland. Grilled romaine Caesar was the best dish we had, however our romaine was not grilled. Frozen rose is a must try, other than that I would say skip it. Also upstairs patio is very nice.
Excellent food. Mediocre service.
My friend and I came for Easter brunch. It was $40 for a buffet and unlimited mimosas. The food was good but the mimosas were better. I plan to come back to check out their normal brunch menu.
We have had dinner at Stirr a few times now. The service and food have never failed to disappoint. We shared brisket tacos, spicy chicken flatbread and brussel sprouts.
My wife & I decided to have an impromptu lunch date & I found Stirr on Eater. Couldn’t have been more impressed or surprised. The service was excellent - just the right balance of helpful advice and quietly keeping us refilled - and the food was delish.
Had heard great things and now we know why! Well done!!
Stirr is one of the few restaurants open on Monday in Deep Ellum. It’s a neighborhood gem. Creative American cuisine that is affordable. The wait staff are beyond superb. We returned 4 times in the course of 2 weeks.
The cocktails were fairly priced and tasted great, and the food was good, but not anything mind-blowing. We tried the waffle fries, brisket tacos and the steak flatbread. Good, but not better than any other happy hour restaurant I've tried from Dallas up to Frisco. If we had paid full price instead of the happy hour pricing at the bar, I would have been disappointed. What sets this apart is the rooftop happy hour, which is a fun way to kick off an evening with people watching and views of the Dallas skyline.
We tried Stirr for the first time for a Sunday brunch and now can’t wait to go back for dinner. Loved the the atmosphere, the service and the wonderful menu. We briefly checked out the rooftop bar (it was expectedly crowded on this beautiful Sunday )and it looked like a great place to hang out.
Had a great time here with my friends! Yummy brunch and mimosa’s! Atmosphere was nice along with location!
Brunch was great we easily were seated and had great service with amazing healthy food and drinks. I would reccomend this to someone for brunch in Deep Ellum for sure.
Our waitress Shelby was AMAZING!!! She took great care of us. Made us feel so welcome and inviting. I will be back again and hopefully Shelby will be there again.
The restaurant was nice but the food and service was not good we ordered appetizers and entrees and they were brought at the same time at least 50 mins before we got our food. It really was not that busy at the time we were there.
I came with two other people both were not impressed cold under cooked food ugh just a waste of time and money .
Great place for brunch and sharables with friends. Nice ambiance, delicious food with well priced dishes.
Very comfortable seating, lively ambience, friendly staff not acting like we were older ladies and not very hip! Food was very good - dessert not worth the calories but the rest very good - would return if in Deep Ellum again.
Really fun place with excellent food. The volcano shrimp appetizer was very delicious. The quail dish was outstanding.
One of my favorite places. The food is incredible, drinks great and of course amazing views and ambiance!
Hostess wasn't very accommodating. Even with a reservation we wouldn't be seating until our complete party was in, which I understand but I let her know I did want a table and finally when I had my group complete she kept pushing for us to sit at the bar. We did end up at the bar, we had a good time there. Our bartender was very friendly. Food was good, the artichoke dip was amazingggg! Best mimosas I've ever had (not a big fan of them in general)
I'd come back to stirr but I hope next time the fist person I encounter isn't only halfway trying to help me.
Brunch was yummy! Loved the atmosphere and design. Alexis gave us excellent service. Can’t wait to go back and try the rooftop
Great as always James!
The people watching is interesting as drunk 20 somethings stumble from the upstairs deck.
Our service was great.
Everything about this restaurant was amazing!! From the food/drinks to the service which was top notch. I'll definitely be back
Amazing burger and fries & volcano rock shrimp!Great cocktails too! Perfect choice for a pre-show dinner before heading to Music Hall. Will return!
I’ve been to Stirr a few times before for Happy Hour and sat at the bar. They have always been an enjoyable experience... this time, not so much. Everything started out great, ordered a White Derby cocktail, and started off with the spinach artichoke dip. Those were great choices to start and I recommend those options. When it came time to order a second drink, it took the bartender nearly 15 minutes to get us our second drink... and we were sitting at the bar. When it came to leave it got even worse. It took about 30 minutes for the bartender to get us our check, pick our check back up, run it, and give us our receipts. When we finally got our checks back, I could see my credit card still sitting in the card reader behind the bar and that took another 5 minutes to get the bartenders attention to get back. Very sad a usually good spot has been somewhat ruined for me personally.
Our server and our drinks were great but my salad came out with a brown top and the hot chicken bites were neither spicy or temperature hot. We were seated in the bar sandwiched next to a table of 20+ and that tables server bumped our table every 3 minutes. Stick to drinks here and a lively crowd.
Great service and the downstairs seating area was actually not very crowded or loud for dinner which was really nice. Upstairs gets to be pretty loud/crowded and is definitely a party. It's great for after finishing your dinner downstairs if you want to keep the party going. We went for a birthday and they brought out a dessert with a sparkler candle without us even asking which was really special! The birthday girl loved it. Overall it was perfect. My only complaint isn't with the restaurant it is with parking in the area. Beware if you drive to Deep Ellum on a popular night like Friday/Saturday. Parking is going to be scarce. We drove around for 45 minutes looking for an open spot and missed our original reservation time. Luckily their downstairs dining isn't the crowded spot. It's the upstairs bar. We only had to wait 15 minutes for a table on Friday night after missing our reservation.
