The food took a bit long to come out. The migas we ordered came out cold and the tortilla strips were soggy not at all crispy. The bread pudding was delicious though and service was great.
The service was very terrible. We sat for 15 min before anyone even approached. The food was very mediocre especially for the price. The vibe and atmosphere is really cool so it was definitely disappointing that the service and food were not up to par.
Came here for dinner before a show at The Music Hall at Fair Park. It was very close and the food was good.
The waitress was good except that she failed to tell us that it was half price for bottles of wine until after we had already received our drink orders. In addition there were fruit flies everywhere that annoyed us all through dinner. I probably would not go back here but would try something else in Deep Elum before
a show since it is so close to Fair Park.
The food was awful. The menu changed since I went there last. The service was excellent!
Stopped to grab a bite before a concert BECAUSE of the great reviews...I want to add to the list! Our server, Eric, was outstanding. He helped me narrow down what I might like on the unique and interesting craft cocktail menu, and my Blackberry Bourbon concoction was Amazing! The food was great and the ambience was super cool. We will be back to try brunch very soon!!!
Wish the food had a little more seasoning. I had the ahi poke tacos. It was ok. I think it could've been better without the guacamole (i love guac) on it but everything else about it was great. The pesto sauce made it taste amazing though. But everything was great overall. I will be back!!!
The ambiance and service were both very nice however we both found our food to be fairly average and underwhelming.
Food was delicious! The bench portions of the seats at our table were completely broken down with made them very uncomfortable. It was also VERY cold in the restaurant. Even with a sweater over my dress, I was still freezing. Neither of the above would stop me from returning, but it is something to consider.
We had a reservation for 8 at 9:15pm. Our table was not ready when we arrived and the hostess were not friendly at all. We waited for at least 40 min before being seated. Our waitress, however, was amazing.
Went in for happy hour. I ordered food from the dinner menu and the portion size was smaller than expected. Drrinks were weak
Our server was very kind and accommodated the fact that we sold the check six five different ways! The food was fantastic!
I enjoyed my first visit to Stirr on a Wednesday evening at 5p. My first impression was not great with the hostess interaction. She was cold, short and uninformative as if I was supposed to know where to go, what to do and the difference between upstairs seating and downstairs seating all on my own. However, my bartender, my waitress, the food and drinks more than made up for the lackluster hostess.
The consistency of delicious food keeps me coming back to Stirr. The service is always outstanding, as well. If grilled cheese is your thing, definitely give it a look.
I didn't expect perfection as I know it's a busy Saturday night, but I definitely didn't expect to be ignored. We checked in with the hostess about 45 minutes early for our 9:30pm reservation, informed them we were waiting on 2 others for the reso, so we sat at the bar and ordered a few drinks and apps. My other friend got there around 9:40pm, talked to the hostess and they told her we lost tour reservation. She informed me of this, so I went to the hostess stand and asked why nobody came to tell us our table was ready. They stared at me and got frazzled and luckily told me they would still be able to seat us at a table. We then waited over 14 minutes for the bar tender to check out out so we could move to a table, that I had to go back to hostess stand to let them know, so they got a manager to check us out, and charged us for everything. Most restaurants would've at least taken a drink off or a food item for such terrible service and mishaps. We didn't get seated at our table until around 10:15pm. Do NOT go here for dinner. Just go to stand in line and check out the bar upstairs.
Ordered pizza and rock shrimp. Rock shrimp was okay, pizza was extremely mediocre. Would go for drinks but not for food.
Great lunch spot. Not too busy so you can have a cool funky business lunch. The grilled Caesar salad with salmon is spot on. Salmon cooked perfect, delicious dressing and the grilled lettuce makes it extra special.
Great atmosphere, service was a little slow... went for lunch but definitely more of an appetizer/drinks type of place. Perfect ambiance and place to go with friends for a get together or fun occasion.
My friend and I went on a Saturday night and shared some of the flatbread, the Texas salad, brussel sprouts, and avocado bruschetta. It all was DELICIOUS, especially the Texas walnut salad. Fun environment, great view, and great service, even though we just had a high table rather than a regular table. Get a reservation though -- it was packed!
Not worth your time for brunch. Our service was abismal. The server brought out the wrong dish to someone at our table (then tried to charge for the incorrect dish and ordered dish). Steak came out raw / cold and our temperature preference was never asked. Drinks were never checked up on.
Great spot for evening drinks but not worth your time for food. Won’t be coming back.
Great up beat place with food and service to match. The deserts are a bit over the top lol - get ready.
Service was exceptionally slow for a workday lunch. We were there for over two hours waiting on one thing or another. The restaurant did not appear busy but never the less service was slow. Thankfully the company was good and the food was tasty.
I had brunch there on Sunday to celebrate a friend's birthday. Although I had a reservation, I wasn't seated for almost 30 minutes, so I was a little skeptical at the start of the meal. I was so pleasantly surprised. The food was great, the service outstanding and they made my friend's birthday special. Well worth the wait.
Stirr definitely held up to the hype of Deep Ellum by offering swanky atmosphere that is sufficient for any occasion. The food was hot, fresh, and savory...fantastic to say the least. I didn't give them 5 stars all the way around because there was just a little lag time between our server offering to take our order with each course and us having to ask. Also, the rooftop is more of a club scene which is cool but there are some dress code restrictions that aren't mentioned on the website which would have saved us some disappointment. Half of our party made it upstairs only to realize the other half that stopped at the restroom before coming up, couldn't come up at all.
Our waiter EZ was outstanding in his knowledge of the menu and professional courtesy..
WE HAD GREAT TIME EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME WILL BE BACK VERY SOON
Dinner with friends: food, service both good. Ordered the rainbow trout, calamari, spinach dip, others had burgers and chicken. Noise level of main dining room is very high, less so in back room.
Had an open table reservation. We were seated promptly. Food & service was very good. A little noisy but didn’t drown you out. We had the spinach dip, pork chop, ribs, & shrimp & grits. All very good. We were there for a birthday. They brought out a complimentary chocolate mousse that was huge a delicious! The only drawback is the parking. No valet & parking deep ellum is a nightmare. Take a Lyft, otherwise, you will be circling looking for open parking. Also, still a few dodgy folks wandering around & not a lot of police presence.
Pleasant atmosphere and able to have a good business discussion without raising our voices to be heard. Parking was easy
Reserved for a group of 6 and everything was perfect! Thank you!
Food was ok. Nothing to write home about. Took forever for the wait staff to get to the table. Doesn't look like the wait staff is properly trained. Nice ambiance.
Good food great service great atmosphere. I really enjoyed myself I will return
We really enjoyed are evenings at Stirr Dallas. All the food we had was delicious starting with the appetizers, calamari and the avocado toast, so were the entree, salad, shrimp and grits and salmon. The service was super. Our server was excellent and very friendly. They also have a great selection of cocktails!
The ambiance was also great! The upstairs rooftop bar is fun and has a great view of Dallas. We will definitely go back to Stirr Dallas.
service was very slow. 1st round of drinks took quite awhile and were mostly ice. apps took forever. 2nd round of drinks - 1 was wrong (cosmo was more of a lemon drop), 1 was filled to about 1.5 inches below the top ("you were robbed" said my friend). and the pork chops were super salty - even my salt fiend friend said they were inedible. overall... we had high hopes but were very unimpressed
Loved it! There was a table there were some guests were extra loud so I requested to be moved and they found me another table with no problem. I will definately be returning! Oh.. The Rib Eye Burger was AMAZING!
This place is phenomenal!! Love everything about it! Very classy but with a casual attire atmosphere. Love the food and choices. I will definitely visit again. Great for special occasions or just hanging out in the upstairs patio...it’s beautiful too and roomy!!
Dope ambiance and electric atmosphere. The food is just ok and the waiter always told me how much good everything is (which is weird because he can't like everything). Nonetheless, I'd come back for appetizers and cocktails but won't recommend it on a weekend as I had a reservation and still had a 20 minute wait. Go figure.
First time there. Hamburgers are absolutely awesome. Great ambiance and cool decor. Will definitely go back.
It wasn’t busy, but we were seated near the front door with the loud fan and air blowing directly on us. We asked to move. Server was great until time to order, and he was at another table for quite some time, so we stopped another waiter and politely asked to order. He said he’d get our server instead of taking the initiative to take the order. It took 30 mins to order. Food came pretty quickly, and we had the brisket tacos, buffalo flatbread, and the calamari. All 3 of us I agreed the food and place was a bust decision. We barely touched our food and paid out. Besides going for the upstairs view, I wouldn’t bother stopping in.
It took awhile to get drink orders bc there was only one bartender on a busy Sunday afternoon other than that everything was good!
