   My second time of visiting the restaurant for brunch with friends and to didn’t disappoint. The food selection is great from the menu and affordable. The portion sizes are good. The food doesn’t take too long to come out. The staff are friendly and welcoming, ready to help with all of your requests. I will be back and highly recommend this restaurant. It gets really busy between 12-3pm everyday so I’d advise reserving a table to avoid disappointment.

   I had the most wonderful Mother’s Day experience at Shakespeare Coffee & Bistro in Cockfosters this year, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfectly festive for the occasion. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and made my mum feel like the star of the day, which instantly set the tone for a special celebration. The Mother’s Day menu was an absolute delight—every dish was crafted with care and bursting with flavor. We started with a beautifully presented platter that had a little bit of everything, from fresh, vibrant salads to succulent grilled options that melted in your mouth. The main course was a triumph; I opted for the Turkish-inspired breakfast (even though it was afternoon—it’s that good!), and my mum raved about her perfectly seasoned chicken dish. The portions were generous, and the attention to detail in every bite made it clear that this is a place that takes pride in its food. The drinks were a highlight too—the Shakespeare Punch was a refreshing, flavorful treat that paired perfectly with the meal, and the pistachio lattes were a creamy, indulgent surprise that we’re still talking about. For dessert, the French toast with seasonal fruit was a sweet, heavenly finish that left us both smiling. What really stood out, though, was the service. The team went above and beyond to make the day memorable, checking in just enough to feel attentive without ever being intrusive. The décor was gorgeous too—modern yet cozy, with little touches that made it feel like a home away from home. It was the perfect setting to spoil my mum and make her feel truly appreciated. If you’re looking for a spot to celebrate Mother’s Day (or any day, really), Shakespeare Coffee & Bistro in Cockfosters is an absolute gem. Great food, lovely staff, and an ambiance that makes every moment special—I can’t wait to come back!

   This is the third time I’ve been to Shakespeare and I’ve always been so happy with the food and service. The quality of food is always at such a high standard and I’m always so impressed.

   I enjoyed a delightful meal with friends at Shakespeare's restaurant. It has beautiful decor with flowers and neon signs, great choice of menu from brunch options to dinner. I had the chicken, broccoli & mushroom pasta which was delicious and my friends all enjoyed their meals too. Good size portions and tasty. I had the chocolate souffle for dessert (more like a melt-in-the-middle sponge), which was served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a wipe of chocolate fudge scattered with fresh berries and a dusting of icing sugar....fabulous! We will definitely return to Shakespeares as the staff are all very helpful and friendly.
