Savoy Bar and Grill Albuquerque
Natural light from a wall of South facing windows reflects off buttery walls, warming the wood and stone of the main dining room. Our open kitchen piques your appetite with its scents & sounds and the energy of our chefs. A comforting atmosphere greets you in the Lounge before you’re drawn into the lush, vine-covered atrium to the West. From there, step onto the shaded patio and relax by the firepits as you take in a view of the Sandia Mountains.
The private Napa and Tasting rooms are equally inviting and suitable for hosting parties of up to 45. Click here for more information on booking a party at Savoy!
We normally celebrate every wedding anniversary at Savoy, because we love the food, ambiance and service. This year, as we celebrated our anniversary on Monday, we were initially disappointed because our usual romantic table in the private room was not not available.
HOWEVER, from the very first moment, when Eric escorted us to our table, we were pleasantly surprised over and over again for the next 3 hours. Eric acknowledged our anniversary celebration and then we discovered the flowers on the table. We ordered one course at a time starting with our favorite Black Pine Pinot Noir and your wonderful calamari followed by the caprese salad. Eric offered very helpful advice for each course and never rushed us. This timing enabled us to really enjoy each others company for this special celebration. Each course had a wonderful presentation. The filet mignon melted in our mouth and the chocolate truffles topped off the evening.
Eric showed a genuine interest in us, our anniversary, the types of food and wine we liked and our wish to really relish each course and our time with each other. His attention to detail without being intrusive and never rushing us is a real luxury that we seldom experience at other restaurants. He created the most supporting environment for this important celebration.
Thank you so much Eric!
Good food and service. Plan on 1 1/2 hours for a typical dinner.
We were @ Savoy to celebrate my daughters birthday, and it was a great dining experience. Our server was very nice and professional, right down to the birthday cake and candle. Patrica if my memory serves me well.
Heard plenty amazing things about this restaurant so my boyfriend & I thought we’d give it a try for his birthday. Atmosphere is beautiful, and we were seated in a nice room off to the side from the rest of the restaurant which was nice & peaceful. The food was incredible & the waitress was so sweet & very attentive. 10/10 would recommend & we will definitely return.
We were in Albuquerque for the National Senior Games in mid-June 2019 and celebrated the completion of the competition (for us anyway) with dinner at the Savoy Bar and Grill. We got there at opening but found the service reasonably attentive given a fair number of people showed up almost as early as we did. The food was well prepared and reasonably priced. I had the iceberg wedge salad and the yellow fin tuna; my wife had the tomato bisque soup and the filet. Our waitperson, Stephanie, made us feel welcome and was helpful with suggestions for both food and drink.
The food and service was great, but we brought our own bottle of wine and they would not cork it for us. I am totally for paying a corkage fee, but I was mad that wouldnt even do that.
Hi there! I just wanted to let you know that this is not a house policy...it is a state law, the only people that can bring in wine to the restaurants in New Mexico are the wine distributors and is illegal for us to allow anyone else to do so, but if that law changes we will totally be on board with a corkage fee. i am so glad your experience was great and we apologize that we could not accommodate you bringing in that special bottle. Have a super day and thanks so much for dining with us!
Nick was awesome! Energetic and witty!
We go there for special occasions. The food is always great and cooked to perfection. Service is always pleasant. We are perplexed as to why the wine list doesn't get updated as the wine is consistently a year newer than stated on the wine list.
Always a great dining experience and another success this time. Anniversary dinner were we were seated away from others. Great attention by server and wonderful presentation of meal. Flavors and textures mixed well and made more enjoyable by the wine choices.
Not an upscale restaurant. I’d much rather go elsewhere.
Great experience and enjoy this restaurant!
Family and colleagues celebrating new locations and work, celebrating our lifetimes of contributions that continue.
Beautiful restaurant and the service is always excellent. Great for special occasions. Some of the pairings don’t always pair, but the quality is very good.
Savoy is one of our favorite places. The service is always wonderful and the food is excellent. Good wine list, warm bread, quiet elegant surroundings. Who could ask for more?
The food was great and prepared spot on. It was a bit noisy for a while until a group left.
Went to Savoy for my birthday. Always a special place to go! Food and drinks are outstanding.
Great food, excellent wine selection, special salad was fresh and tasty and the sea bass was fantastic!
The lamb was amazing. The toasted farro had a nutty and slightly sweet flavor. The charred green onions and tzatziki were nice punches of flavor. Yummy!
Service was very slow for both drinks and our meals. It was a disappointment. The last time we dined there it was much better.
Interesting and excellent food. Service was a bit slow but it was busy. Will definitely go again
Great service from the moment we arrived. Comfortable, relaxed and simply enjoyable in every way. Friendly, knowledgeable server with a sense of humor, Sarah, was great.
The food was only alright. It was executed well but lacked any depth or interesting flavor.
This is hands down our most favorite restaurant! Savoy is the perfect date night restaurant! The food is always spectacular! We had the most amazing time! It was the best date night that we've had in a long time! Thanks Savoy! Thanks Chef! Thanks to an awesome waiter!
A great evening to celebrated my wife's Birthday! The food, service, everything was great.
The halibut special was a bit pricey at $45 for a small piece and small amount of supporting condiments. It was cooked properly but overpriced. We will not return.
The food and service were great, but the time between courses being served was painfully slow. We understand that a Monday night is not prime time for a restaurant’s kitchen staff, but we weren’t the only diners in our room that were frustrated by the pace.
Again, we loved the food and the server did her absolute best, but the whole experience was disappointing.
We all had delicious fillet minion. The mashed potatoes were amazing. We had oysters (east coast) that were very tasty. The dessert sundae was the best of the two we ordered.
My husband's and I are at Savoy to celebrate his birthday. From the time we entered, they acknowledged his birthday and after the meal they treated him to the dessert that he ordered. Our server was very perky and efficient. Food was delicious. An enjoyable dinner.
I don’t know why but every time we go to Savoy we sit at our table for about 10 minutes before our server ever comes by! Maybe that’s how fancy restaurants work but it’s a little off-putting for me because I’m usually there to celebrate something and I want my drinks to toast with! Otherwise the meal is always delicious and the environment is always superb!
Both the food and service were impeccable! Always a great experience.
This is a very nice restaurant that hit the spot after a long drive. Quibbles on food - calamari could have been better with a little spice. Lamb shank was excellent though as was the tuna. Would highly recommend this place.
Overall good experience. Would recommend to friends.
Nice ambiance and the food was delicious.
Our server clearly had no idea what she was doing. She questioned several of our requests, even though we asked for things listed in the menu. When she poured wine into the wine glass, she dripped it all over the glass which then dripped onto my white pants when I proceeded to take a drink. She then failed to input my husband's dinner order (which she tried to blame on the kitchen rather than just taking responsibility for her mistake), and by the time he finally received his food, the rest of the table was already finished eating. The quality of the food was not at all worth the price. Terrible birthday dinner. We will not be returning or recommending Savoy to anyone.
I made reservations for myself, husband, and 2 children. Upon making the reservation it asked if we would like any accommodations. I put if they can acknowledge something on our table for our anniversary. When we arrived, we had a table in the corner near something that was blowing cold air out. The greeter said he was going to bring us bread but never brought us any. Our waiter asked what we would like to drink, our menu had zero options for soft drinks. We only seen opens for alcohol and wine. We had to ask the waiter what other drinks were available. After making our order, we waited AN HOUR!! For our food. Our waiter explained there was a large party. We didn’t get offered something to snack on while waiting. My children were hungry and cold. Thank god they are very well behaved children because they became impatient wanting to get off the chairs but didn’t. I offered a Parmesan chicken and the noodles were stiff and dry. My daughter ordered a salmon but wasn’t all the way cooked like we asked and cold in the middle. My son ordered pasta with sauce and his pasta was cold. We mentioned this to the waiter and he said that’s the way salmon is cooked and the pasta was just off the stove. I asked what about my noodles and he said that’s the way they are made. We did not finish our food. We decided to pay the 126.00 that did not deserve to be paid for. The waiter said he couldn’t do anything about the bill and asked if we wanted a to go box. We said no and left. Let’s just say we went and ate pizza afterward. It was supposed to be a romantic night for me and my husband and was supposed to be promised an amazing meal for the price of the plate. I was so disappointed. We dressed up for this event and ended up at a pizza parlor afterward. NOT the way it should have been. Total waste of my money.
Stellar service and food. Casual elegance. Loved our waiter Daniel and the front of the house handled an addition of two in our party with aplomb.
We spent $56 or so for the buffalo rib eye. It was ordered twice at our table. We would have been better off with another cut of meat at a much better price point. Other items at the table were fine. Our sever was nice. The noise level is always higher than we would like, it is not a low light intimate restaurant for two, but we know that. If you are going to any of the two bar areas this is the place. The East side of Albuquerque does not have many nice places to eat and Savoy is right up there. We would recommend Savoy and would explain the good and the not so good.
This restaurant is truly outstanding in every way. The tuna I ordered was very rare and came with wasabi mashed potatoes and ginger, which made it remiscent of sushi. This was very creative. This was truly a satisfying dining experience. My only complaint is that they did not have more gluten free options for dessert. We will definitely come back.
We were greeted with a smile throughout the evening. The wait staff were on point when our water glasses half to refill. The server was patient and pleasant. The dinner was outstanding!
