Great food great waiter great view it is nice to see a great old Florida place
The feel of the dining experience was so so.the price if the food was expensive for what you receive.the taste of the food was not as expected. Will most likely not be back.
First time diners and we loved it. Amazing view, food, and service!
Very consistent in terms of quality, service, and overall experience.
Great atmosphere, great food and beautiful view of the bay!
My wife and I felt the pricing was was excessive for average food.
Good food, good people!
Amazing food, service was great we will definitely go back
Great views but noise levels continued to escalate over the course of our meal —- to the point that we weren’t able to hear each other without almost yelling and repeating ourselves. Food and service are very good but not the place to have a discussion while dining.
Our server was awesome and very attentive. Shrimp risotto was great as well as stuff crab grouper. I had New York steak with two halves a very small lobster, the size of shrimp. The New York steak was tough and laced with gristle. I had it prepared medium. But overall the Rusty Pelican was great to enjoy my birthday meal.
I been this place a lot of time before Covid thing. Last time when i refer sit next to window and i got the same exactly everything, food is amazing. But yesterday is too bad. Food is too salty, no more my favorite scallops in menu. my husband steak is too cook when he oder medium rare. The lady in the front tell me they can’t do exactly like how i refer when book appointment. But when i come to sit the table near the window available??? I don’t think i will come back with u guy
Delicious drinks and food and the service was wonderful. We didn’t feel rushed and enjoyed our meal. Would visit again.
First time visiting. Since its by the water it was very relaxing eating and watching the dolphins and boats go by. Our waitress was very friendly and gave great service. Food was amazing.
Beautiful views of the bay, delicious brunch. The French toast sticks are particularly yummy. Our waiter was attentive and kind. I would go back!
This was such a nice experience! The food was amazing and so were the bottomless Mimosa‘s !
Jade (waitress) was phenomenal!
Highly recommend for special occasions. The food was great! Service was great! We had a window seat and it was a beautiful evening. A true Tampa icon.
Amazing food and service
Over priced for the quality of the food. The food was not hot enough. We were given paper napkins instead of the cloth napkins. The night before we ate at Columbia restaurant and paid half the price for a better portion and quality. Overall, it did not meet our expectations.
Very good service. Easy and plentiful parking
A fantastic experience. The menu, while short, offered great selections, and the food was prepared perfect. Our service was fantastic as well, from the hostess to the bartender and waitstaff. One word of advice - listen closely for the daily specials, they are well worth your consideration!
Waitress Mara. Was absolutely wonderful charming knew the menu was great helping with choices.. would definitely come back. Thank you
Reservation start time was prompt. Waiters and host was amazing and the view is lovely.
Marina was a fabulous server. She absolutely anticipated our needs & brought items right before we even thought to ask. Thanks
Snapper was over cooked and tough. Filet mignon was over cooked. VERY noisy. Server forgot one of our salads. We really looked forward to another
nice evening at the Rusty Pelican but the dinner on this trip was disappointing.
This is a beautiful restaurant. Stunning sunset, and my wife loves the fireplaces. Nice for a romantic dinner. The only knock I have is on the Surf and Turf, which is a filet and a lobster tail, the lobster tail looks barely bigger than a jumbo shrimp. I have actually never seen one that small. For the price, you would think it would be a decent sized tail.
Beautiful location. couldn't as for better water views. Hostess stand staff was a little short. Waitress was very friendly but did forget to tell us about the specials. The entrees were fantastic, but I would have loved a more basic bread...not into the spicy stuff. I would come back, but would avoid certain items.
Excellent food and service from Carmen. The whole evening was delightful.
I had a wonderful dining experience at the Rusty Pelican. Shay was our server and her service was impeccable. She was very friendly & accommodating. It was my fiancé’s birthday dinner & We had a great experience. He wanted Rockefeller oysters (which is not even on the menu) & Shay spoke with the chef and made it happen. They were some of the best Rockefeller oysters we have ever had, and would actually recommend that the restaurant add them to the menu. I give our experience and 10 out of 10. We will be returning the next time we are in Tampa. Thank you!
La vista al mar es hermosa. No tiene buena acústica el restaurante. Buena distancia entre mesas. La comida razonable.
My wife and I visited the rusty pelican for our anniversary. We started off with some cocktails at the bar, bar service was friendly and attentive. We ordered fried calamari for an appetizer. It was delicious, I can’t remember what sauce came on it but it was amazing. For the entree’s my wife got a filet mignon with a lobster tail and mashed potatoes for a side.( The lobster tail with the size of the jumbo shrimp.. not kidding). I ordered the 12oz NY strip with a side of scallops(blackened) and fries.
Pros- steaks were great, beautiful view, nice ambiance, service was on point, good cocktails, corn bread.. bomb!
Cons- LOBSTER TAIL!! Stop killing baby lobsters!, fly in my cocktail, old fries in the middle of the calamari app.(it doesn’t come with fries), fries with my entree were a bit soggy.
Overall a nice experience, I would recommend going once and try to catch a glimpse of the dolphins
Overall it was delightful. The view amazing. My husband’s burger was good but the fries were cold. My meal was also cold as was my cousins. All around I was expecting wow from
What I heard about this place but the service was mediocre and the food was nothing spectacular. But, the view is amazing.
The waitress was less than attentive, she was more concerned with her table behind us rather than refilling our drinks or checking in with us. In addition, I attempted to order two egg breakfast with prime rib which she said they were out of prime rib but could make a shredded prime rib plate.
The chicken and waffles were amazing and I especially loved the Watermelon Fresca mimosa! The view was great, we even saw dolphins!
Best breakfast I’ve ever had! Mimosas was great, the French Toast sticks killer, and that view is amazing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One of the biggest complaints I have was the wait time. We made a reservation for 8:30pm and weren't seated until 9:25pm, even after checking back with the hostess several times. Food was good but we had to send back the grouper because it had large bones in it (we asked if there were going to be bones before ordering our food). It ruined our first impression and personally we will not come back to this restaurant
My husband and I come here every year for our anniversary, but I don't know that we will be back next year.
They were clearly overbooked and the noise level was that of a club. There were 2 weddings going on and we ended up having to park in garage across the street.
We waited longer to get our desired table, but as the host brought us to it, another couple was directed to the same table, sat down, and we were forced to wait again. They had made a scene earlier due to their wait so I guess I should have done the same and I'd have been seated before them.. It wasn't long, but it was the principle of the matter and very unprofessional considering the price. I was not offered anything to compensate for the inconvenience.
The food was great, but extremely slow. Waitress did warn us so we weren't surprised. All in all, we mostly enjoyed it but the noise was terrible and they should never overbook themselves like that again. The staff simply can't handle all those people.
Our reservation was at 7:30, and we were not seated until 8:10 and we were not the only ones waiting. I also did not get the requested window seating and we feel like we were rushed
