Really great food! Amazing view! Dinner took a while to come out but overall amazing drinks and great food
Cannot recommend this place enough! The only issue was the required valet, but the experience overall was fantastic. Some of the best shrimp I’ve ever eaten.
Food quality was just ok. Tuna quality, in tuna poke, was below expectation.
Excellent location, that being right on the water. Get a table by the windows. Many fresh fish varieties on the menu, cooked the way you like it. My wife and I both had the daily catch, which was corvina. It was nicely presented and was very good. We will go there again.
Ristorantino in stile ranch di legno con tanto di caminetti rustici ovunque dall'atmosfera romantica. Con vista sull'oceano dove si possono vedere pesci ma anche delfini. Cibo ottimo e menu dedicato per i bimbi. Da provare
Was a nice dinner with good service and good local seafood, great for visitors to Tampa.
Bar service and pianist in lobby were excellent. Somewhat overpriced for food. My partner's stuffed grouper was excellent, calamari appetizer was a little heavy on the pepper but the dipping sauce was exceptional. My suf and turf came with a small filet mignon which was very, very tough. Our server was excellent. I would avoid the filet at all costs.
Our server Amanda was exceptional. Great food and service. I will definitely go back.
Mathew was just amazing, we were able to get a window seat with an amazing view. He even accommodated us by moving us to a better window as the first one was foggy due to condensation. Our party had surf and turf, filet mignon, risotto, truffle potatoes, “smashed” potatoes, and swordfish. Everything was very delicious and savory. Highly recommend this restaurant.
We had an amazing Sunday brunch exempt assortment of food and even got to see dolphins out side our window
Our server Sandy made our meal so much more pleasant
We had reservations and were seated in a corner window spot, which gave great views of Tampa Bay! The selection was less than expected. While the buffet was served in a grand room, it looked more than offered, especially for the price. Service was phenomenal with equally good quality, which pretty much made up for the lack of selection. The blackened ahi tuna was outstanding and our server was very attentive. Loved the option to order small plates in addition to the buffet.
We met another couple for dinner. Sat at the bar and enjoy drinks and the piano player while waiting for our table. We were lucky enough to be seated by a window to enjoy the view. Saw several dolphins playing in the water and that only added to the wonderful ambiance that already existed.
Have been here before and the ambiance, food and service holds up well each visit.
Great seafood & steaks. Direct waterfront on the bay! We were very impressed and pleased.
This was not our first time at Rusty Pelican. It was my husband's birthday and he loves the brunch there. The food options are overwhelming in a good way. The Mimosas are good and our server was generous with them. The restaurant has a view worth the trip, but I thought $50 per person for brunch was a bit steep for what we ate (maybe not for what we drank). Our server was great and he explained the way the brunch worked. We're a little older than most of the diners, so the lovely brunch spread was more than we could ever eat. Perhaps 20 years ago we could have done this justice!
Ate many times. My steak tasted weird but I assumed it was me. Omg. I was sic for the next 24hrs.
Beautiful!! Amazing atmosphere, the food and everything!
While the exterior could use some repairs and the interior some much needed updating (freshening up), the service and food was very good!
We loved the full view of the water, watching the jumping fish and variety of birds. Adding in good food and good wine helped overlook the dark and/or tired furniture. I could only imagine if they shined up the place a bit, it would be great.
Our server was really a pleasure too...really enjoyed his table side manner a lot!
Looking forward to a repeat trip there.
Beautiful location and we manged to snag an ocean view table. Our server was excellent, and so was the food. We tried the blackened swordfish and bacon burger, as well as some ice cream for dessert. Definitely recommend this place when celebrating a special ocassion or just looking to do something nice for a day
Probably the best piece of swordfish I've ever had. Highly recommend the blackened swordfish. Ask for Ahmad he was one of the best servers I've had since moving to Florida. He did a great job of giving us recommendations and had a great sense of humor.
Had a great dinner to celebrate my Dad's birthday. Our server was exceptional and he made it a lot of fun! They had a snapper special and the presentation was phenomenal. Everyone was checking it out. The Creme Brulee' dessert presentation was awesome too. Great drinks, food and fun!
First time at this restaurant and most likely the last for me personally. Overall the place needs a lot of work. Walk inside and there is a strong musty Oder. The temp outside was around 90 and they have gas fireplaces going?
There were three of us and to be fair I was the only one that didn’t like the food. I had a mixed seafood platter which included a small lobster that was over cooked to the point it was like beef jerky. The shrimp were also over cooked to the point I had trouble getting them off the skewer and were rubbery. I didn’t even eat the piece of fish. The salad was supposed to have vinaigrette dressing but there was none that we could taste. The server was great (Josh) and actually was a pleasure to talk with.
I HAVE ALRADY TOLD MANY PEOPLE ABOUT THR RUSTY PILICAN AND THAT SHOULD GO THERE AND CHECK IT OUT FOR THEM SELF . AND MY WIFE AND I WILL BE BACK SOON , THANK YOU FOR A GREAT EVEN ON MY WIFES BIRTHDAY AND GOD BLESS .
Saturday afternoon lunch date. Overlooking the water. Heavenly!
It was very beautiful. I reserved a table by the water for my 7 year anniversary and I was very impressed! SERVICE WAS GREAT. FOOD WAS GREAT! MY WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT!
Very responsive personnel, great setting for good speaking and listeners
Excellent waitress, very very slow to get our dinner. Steaks overdone and smashed potatoes cold. Seafood was very good. Stuffed grouper and seafood grill. Very pricey. Lovely location.
Everything was awesome and have been there before a couple of times. Would come back in a heart beat.
service was exceptional, food was outstanding.
Food was excellent, Our server, Josh, was very courteous and helpful with suggestions.
The food was spectacular, the drinks were beyond amazing and the view from the restaurant was phenomenal. A once in a lifetime experience. The place is beautiful.
Anniversary dinner, service was great from the valet to the bartender and our waitress, can’t ask for a better evening
Location, view and ambiance was very nice. Our server, Amanda, was attentive and took excellent care of us. However, the food, for the price they're asking, was underwhelming. I ordered the filet mignon, while looking like nice piece of meat, was rather tasteless - no seasoning could be detected at all, and was undercooked. I had ordered it medium and if i had ordered medium rare, would still have been undercooked. I have an aversion to sending food back - it should be done correctly the first time. My wife had the stuffed gulf grouper and it was just really middle of the road. It was good, just nothing really special. We had a nice evening, but left knowing there is better to be had in the area.
Food is incredible (salmon was crusty outside and moist inside, strip steak prepared perfectly, Brussels sprouts side dish a little al dente but that's definitely better than mushy ). Setting is up against Tampa Bay which, if you have a window seat, you can see the water directly up against the restaurant. The problem is that the water is brown, no blue water or any clarity, and there is no view of a skyline or any boating activity - kind of a blah view. Our only beef with this restaurant is that the entire adjacent parking lot is "free" valet (although because the valets work only for tips, we did tip them $5). If you want to self park, you have to go to a nearby parking garage and then walk over the restaurant. To us this seemed backwards. The valets should be running back and forth to the parking garage as has been our experience at other restaurants and hotels. Self parking should be to the customers' advantage. Still it's not enough to deter us from returning to this restaurant because the food is so spectacular.
Nice view, attentive staff, good selection of wine.
Table requested was ready with beautiful view. Bday wishes for my guest awaited us at the table. Awesome experience.
My family of four had a great dinner at the Rusty Pelican. The food and service were very good and the seating on the Tampa Bay can’t be beat! Having a fine dinner with two kids in tow later in the evening can get dicey. With the level of service at the Rusty Pelican, things went well. We would gladly go back!
At first our party of 5 thought it was expensive to pay $46 per person for brunch, but once you see there is unlimited crab legs, oysters, breakfast foods, desserts, bottomless mimosas and champagne you realize it's worth it. I believe our server was Jordan and he was very attentive and just an all around great server, we really enjoyed our experience.
AMAZING! The food was beyond wonderful, everything was hot and delicious. The staff was friendly and there was never an empty champagne glass. The location could not of been any more perfect. The price was beyond reasonable for the amount of food and alcohol that was offered. I would calmed back to Tampa just to eat here again!
Very nice. Will go back.
Everthing was outstanding..this is a beautiful place, delicious dinner, the view was impressive, server are on ponit. Ill give more then 5 stars if i could i really enjoyed.
