Fantastic Food. Excellent cocktails. Best Old Fashion. Great menu full of different options. Our server provided many options and alternatives for my celiac-gluten free request!
25 th Anniversary
Our window seat view was outstanding, and the soups (French Onion and Tampa Bay Seafood Chowder) and entree we had were delicious (Lemon Garlic Shrimp Risotto) but seemed a bit overpriced. Our waitress was attentive but didn't notice the sweating/dripping glasses (love Florida humidity) until I put my own napkin under my drink. The one disappointment was desert. We seated for dinner at 6pm - not early by any stretch - yet, when we were ready for desert it was going to be 40 minutes on the Creme Brulee. Not a tragedy, but our second choice, a Chocolate Raspberry Velvet Cake, was too rich and overpowering. It was not a cake, more like eating a giant chocolate truffle. We did not enjoy that at all. The restaurant is worth the view (if you get a window seat), and the food was delicious, but the pricing makes me pause a bit. Not sure I would go back.
Excellent all around. Keep it up please!
Just amazing, the service was great the views, the environment everything was awesome, for sure I’ll go again
Excellent food, great service.
They need better facilities for the semihandicapped, which I am. I can climb stairs, but cannot defend them. I needed a ramp. Their ramp was located through the kitchen down a long hallway to a door that stated do not open or alarm will sound. It did not, but left us behind the restaurant far from where we had left our car with the valet parking. It was raining and fortunately a waiter had stayed with us and spent the next 20 minutes getting our car. My wife and I were soaked!
My husband, daughter and I went to the rustic pelican for my husband’s milestone birthday and am so glad we did! We just moved to Tampa 2 months ago and I really wanted to find a place that had a great view, great food and great service. And this place has it all!!! It does get very busy - we went on a Wednesday and it was packed. So highly recommend making reservations. I am so glad I did! You will be glad you did too. Enjoy! Can’t wait to go back.
Great food and beautiful atmosphere
Food and drinks were very good but overpriced. The atmosphere made up for it.
Service was nice. Sunday style brunch was not my favorite and the restaurant is in serious need of a renovation.
Great location, unique building ideal for a winter dinner. Server was well trained and polite. Speed of food coming out of the kitchen was slowwwww. Sat down at 7:30 and finished main course at 9:20.
I had requested a window table and had a 30 minute wait for the table. My friend’s steak was under cooked so it had to be redone.
Terrific seafood and service. Definitely will return.
Great food and very pleasant environment.
My entire experience at the Rusty Pelican Tampa was awesome. From booking the reservation till we walked out of the restuarant after dinner was great. Our waiter could not have taken any better care of all our questions, concerns and or needs. The food was very well cooked and seasoned. I will definitely be returning soon.
The server made us feel like we were unconvincing her by being there. Seemed like she was in a grouchy mood
Food was okay, but was surprised that it wasn’t great. There was a limited selection, and nothing jumped out as wow. The staff was friendly and pretty much readily available. Decor is needing updates, but view was great.
The food and service were excellent! We enjoyed the experience and will come again.
Sandy is AMAZING with service and the food was great. We love taking our family to brunch.
We don’t normally need an excuse to brunch at Rusty Pelican, but this was our wedding anniversary. Great service and food as usual.
Cocktails were outstanding as were the appetizers of Fried Artichokes & Calamari.
The Fried Snapper entree was overdone and dry, as was the other seafood dishes of Black Grouper and Salmon.
Ambience is outstanding.
Next time, we will dine on cocktails and appetizers.
Such a nice view, food and drinks! I had the grouper and OMG very delicious!! The place was packed because it was friday night but our waiter was very polite and kind all night long!
Wife and I went for our wedding anniversary. The view was beautiful and romantic , food and drinks excellent, staff extremely hospitable. Highly recommend and will be back again.
Wife’s Birthday. We both had the Sea Bass. Was amazing.
The food was delicious and the views were fantastic. Still, I have to say, my favorite part of the whole experience was our server, Taylor. She was absolutely fantastic!
This place is typically our "go-to" for Sunday brunch, the food is usually off the charts, along with the service. And, lets be honest, you cannot beat the location and the view. This Sunday, while the small sharable plates were AWESOME. The seafood was a bit of an disappointment. The Crab legs were very juicy, and did not crack well (they offer 2 versions: Hot and Cold). They were a bit dirty and on the smaller side. The peel and eat Shrimp were difficult to peel as well. This experience will not stop us from coming back, it just may of been an off day for them. But, it will be awhile before we do so. I will say, the service was impeccable. Amber was awesome!
Excellent place for brunch with a fantastic view of the bay.
We loved everything about the restaurant except the food. Beautiful place, amazing views, delicious cocktails, and wonderful service. We were extremely disappointed in the food. One of the worse meals I’ve had in a long time.
This is probably one of the best restaurants I have ever dined in to. The atmosphere was nice and energetic. Upon entering you are offered free valet parking, there is a pianist playing beautiful music between the entrance and bar area. The waiting area is warm and relaxing with lounge chairs close to the fire place. The waiters are really nice and friendly. They were very accommodating as the made sure me and my husband was placed in window seating area.
The food was great! It was beautifully put together with wonderful flavors and presentation was everything. I will definitely recommend and dine in again...
The service and ambiance was amazing. The food was great. Definitely will go back.
i've been in tampa for many years but never visted the Rusty Pelican. Was a perfect first time for Sunday Brunch! Everything is excellent with this restaurant!!
I always enjoy brunch here and today was no exception. I got fantastic service from Ashley. The food was fresh and plentiful. Thoroughly recommend Rusty Pelican.
Our waitress was very attentive. The food was fresh and great tasting.
Restaurant needs a renovation like now!
From the time we entered the front door until we left we felt like we were very special. And Katie (from Michigan) was an absolute gem. She did what was expected and more. It was a delightful birthday experience.
Great view with very good food. Decor is somewhat dated but you are busy looking at the view.
Good and service were excellent! Can’t wait to go back!
Great atmosphere loved the view seating is a little close but over all perfect for any occasion
