Our bartender Jordan took excellent care of us. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine with lunch. Being able to eat, drink and watch the water is what makes the Tampa Bay Area special.
Needed to stop and work before a flight. Super close to the airport and such a scenic view! Service was great. A little louder than expected due to a real estate meeting taking over the bar area mid day, but that is what the mute button is for. I will certainly go here again.
We went for brunch - I think the selection was pretty good, they also had a small plate menu that you could order with your server. There was a large raw bar so if you like seafood this is a great brunch. The fajitas and waffles were great & not to mention it’s all you can drink champagne.
Our server was Sandy & she was awesome! I definitely think the service was the highlight of our brunch. :)
Great Drinks and Food. Couldn’t ask for a more perfect view.
Aw some dinner! Superb service and the location is beautiful- right on the bay!
It was amazing! Nice sunset over the water and terrific service! Really had awesome food!
Great sunset views over the bay
Excellent food. Be sure to ask for a water view and, get there early to see the sunset. The “smoked” bourbon cocktail was a unique treat.
This was our second visit and much like the first time. We always enjoy the view of the bay. The receptionist is rarely at her station when you arrive, so you’re waiting. Once she does arrive you wait again for a table in a place that is not full. Our waitress was great and the meal good. A bit overpriced for a regular place to eat, so we only come when we visit on special occasions, but this was probably our last time.
Great place, location, view and ambiance. Everything else was just okay. It’s hard to see their menu prices and not compare to other fine-dinning places in the area - in that, my expectations were heightened, but not met in comparison. It’s hard to see the value in a meal, when there are other local fine-dining options for less with a better food, service, and all-around experience. Don’t get me wrong though, we did enjoy our date and the staff was very friendly. I would just need more value-proposition to return
We went there for dinner on Valentine's Day. We had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the whole feel was romantic and beautiful.
It was perfect.
We have been coming here for several years and never had a bad experience. In fact, we come here with friends every Christmas Day for Brunch. This time was a first for us. We celebrated Valentines Day, which had a special menu. It was fantastick. Our servers, Tou and Ahmad, were so nice and very attentive. We would highly recommend this occasion and in fact any occasion. Also, the Specialty Restaurants rewards program is the greatest. You can get free entrees and deserts quite frequently.
Also, we want to give a special shout-out to Don, the Manager. He greets everyone and makes sure you have a memorable experience at the Rusty Pelican Tampa.
my food was so salty it made me sick , i ate 3 bites and had to stop it was so bad.I was told they had a new cook and this was his first day on the grill . they did take it off my bill but i had to stop somewhere else to eat due to i was hungry.
They were nice but i still spent $175 dollars for everyone else in my party and there food was fine. But because of my bad experience and getting sick (my own fault i should have not eaten the 3 bites) i would not eat there again.
It was actually a family get together with our daughter from out of town.
We had requested a window seat when we made our reservation, we got one with a excellent view of Tampa Bay at sunset which was fine. The only negative for the entire evening was that the tables were a little to close together so that whenever we moved or the people at the table behind us moved our chairs bumped.
The waiter was very attentive, brought our drinks quickly and described the specials and his favorites very well. My wife and I
Had the Cioppino which was full of a wide variety of seafood and very tasty. Our daughter, who is from the West Coast, had grouper for the first time and really enjoyed it.
We have gone to the Rusty Pelican for years and it is still our favorite "special" place. Their current challenge is the construction going on all around them and its impact on their parking. Definitely worth going despite that minor inconvenience
