Amazing! Wonderful Thanksgiving Day brunch.
Absolutely amazing staff and food!
Service was great as was the food!
Everything was excellent food was great. I will definitely be coming back
The dinner for two option on the menu was "on-point." Great food and drink. The service was great! There was little to no wait for a drink after ordering. The remodel area is a little interesting. Why in the world they wouldn't cover the remodel area with something other than hanging white plastic like from scenes from the show "Dexter" kept me wondering what was really happening back there.
Tables not distanced from each other.
I am sure this place was all the rage in the 1970's, and it hasn't changed since. I almost got used to the moldy smell by the time the food was served. There is literally a fake ship's wheel on the wall, and the utensils come in those little paper bags. The pictures on the website are outright receptive. But they have kept up with modern prices - you will have no problem finding a much better experience and food for the same cost.
Amazing food and service as always
I miss the buffet. It’s too expensive for the average food served. There are much better brunch places for less money. The place is old and musty. They can at least the old nasty carpet. Next time I will just stay home and make better breakfast and cocktails for less than half the price
Went In for dinner with a group of friends and we expected more from the restaurant. The ambiance was not really there and the food was not out of the ordinary.
Beautiful view, well-spaced tables and attentive staff that wore masks and gloves! But bring a sweater, because the restaurant is chilly. Also, bring a light, because it is quite dark in there as well. Otherwise, it was a very nice experience.
The view is amazing and the food was as equally great. Please try this spot for brunch you won’t be disappointed.
What a wonderful view of Tampa Bay from our window! Our server was so attentive and helpful. The food was very good. For COVID times, the server wore a mask but tables were still fairly close. Overall a good time.
Great food and service as usual
Great ambience, outstanding service! The meal was fine but it might have been a bit of an off night there.. I will return during my next visit to Tampa.
The atmosphere was great, service was good and everything was smooth.
The building/ambiance was beautiful. The fish was a little overcooked, but everything else was amazing.
Been going here for over 15 years and it's in need of some serious updating. I've noticed it the past few years and this time was really bad. The place just looks gross. Nasty carpet, tables don't have linens due to Covid, and they look very beaten up. There was something happening with the ceiling and it looked like part of it was about to collapse. Bathrooms were disgusting.
Our server was very friendly and attentive, but didn't stick around to ask questions. She would just walk by and say at the same time, "I'll bring you more water", before I could ask for the check or something else. She was really busy so I don't fault her for that.
On the flip side, the food was excellent. Better than I've had there in years. Was disappointed that the buffet can no longer be due to Covid, but the chef more than made up for it. It was fantastic.
Overall it was sad to see the deterioration of such a Tampa staple and the location of my wedding and reception 16 years ago. I'd like to say it's all Covid related, but it's not. It has been happening for many years now. The clientele reflects that too. Saw so many people dressed in shorts, activewear, Halloween costumes from the previous night.
One thing to note is the extreme measures taken to keep customers safe from Covid. I watched servers put a new pair of plastic gloves on every time they served a drink, menus and napkins are now paper, as well as straws. Silverware is sanitized and put in a sealed paper bag. Masks are worn by all servers, and most patrons when they are not seated. I didn't really like being sat so closely to people so we hurried through our meal and got out of there as soon as possible.
Amazing brunch with the sampler board! Will definitely be going back! The Bloody Mary’s were the best I’ve had in Tampa!
Overall visit was good besides the initial entrance. bartender who was a Caucasian woman in her 20's tried to send us away initially stating that they were not seating anyone. I'm sure the standard procedure is to ask if the guest has reservations first. It just made me feel like I wasn't welcome initially, thankfully the server was so hospitable and apologized for her colleagues lack of proper etiquette.
The lobster and the grouper was dry and overcooked. Our server was awesome.
Excellent service and food! The rusty pelican never disappoints.
Decor dated, looked like a construction zone. Margaritas fair, average crab cake, grouper good, censer salad-not good, weird lettuce, strange seasoning on chicken. View is the best thing about this experience.
Amazing food, well worth the price! It was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Very nice staff and wait time was minimal :) highly recommend
Our server and our night was spectacular.
The food was amazing. We had the board for two and everything was delicious. For dessert we had the cherry ice cream & lava cake which gave me a foodgasm. I will definitely be back.
Wonderful setting for a special meal. We really enjoyed our dinner and how helpful all the staff were.
Highly recommend. Staff, food, location, views, all 10/10.
Food was pretty bad. Servive was great. They need to take a long hard look at that menu and their quality of ingredients, change it, then find new kitchen staff.
I felt the price was too high compared to the quality of the food I ordered. The lobster in my meal was tough. Seemed overcooked. I enjoyed the cornbread the most.
Divine shrimp and risotto but Tough And chewy lobster tail In it Made the meal less enjoyable than expected - the place is real nice and will definitely try brunch there! Beautiful place to sit on the water!
Great food, great service (thank you Amanda!) - we took out-of-town guests and everyone had a great meal!
I was very surprised and disappointed at how closely they were seating tables - no social distancing, at all, during COVID-19.
Normally, I would recommend the Rusty Pelican but not during COVID-19.
Wonderful food, wonderful staff.. food was a little slow but I was hungry. The French onion soup was great, the ginnie tonic was wonderful.... great view... I would recommend!
Disappointing ~ overall service was not good. Menu has gotten very limited. *Too many other places to dine.
The food was over priced and the restaurant looks and smells tired. Amazing sunset views for dinner and good service. All this place needs is a total makeover and get some fresh catch from local sources on your menu for goodness sakes.
The atmosphere is Great since most tables have a ocean view. The staff are very professional and helpful when selecting items. The food was Great with a variety of items on the menu. Due to covid, they had less to choose from, but you still had many choices to choose from.
The women had the 1/2 chicken and is was seasoned well and tasty. The guys had salmon and they said it was awesome.
The waitress was very good But took long time to receive the food. No steak knife available when food finally arrived. We had surf and turf for 2 for 135$. The lobster was mushy and not edible. The steak more fat and grizzle than meat. Have been here before with moderately better experience but never great.
The ambience was gorgeous! We enjoyed our waiter for the most part. He would be gone for long periods of the time but he was personable. The food was very mehhh for us. I spent 17 on a half a lb of crab legs and barely got five bites. My husband was disappointed with his choice of fish as well. Hi
