Only a few people in as people are starting to say home!

Nice atmosphere but incredibly bland food with a high price tag

I could not have asked for a more memorable sunset dining experience.
Everything was perfect and our waitress explained the dishes so we could pick the perfect meal.
We felt a bit rushed. Our waitress made it clear from the start that it was all about her, Which is unfortunate because the food is very very good
The Rusty Pelican has clearly earned it's reputation. We were seated quickly and were served by Carmen. The dinner was for my mother's 74th birthday and Carmen went all out to accomodate us. Our drinks were brought out quickly, the appetizer (fantastic calamari) was on the table within 10 minutes, our salads were out within minutes after we were done with the appetizer, and our dinners were on the table just as quickly after we were done with our salads. The bread was so good that we asked if we could take a few pieces from the bread basket home. We ended up with half of a freshly-baked, unsliced loaf to take home.
When dinner was done, Camen came back and said that there was already a creme brulee being made for my mother's birthday dessert. We didn't even know it was available and it just happens to be my mother's all-time favorite dessert. Carmen brought it out, lit the top (which obviously had alcohol on it) and it slowly burned away and carmelized the top right in front of us. So classy! My mother said it's the best creme brulee she's ever had and trust me...I've seen her try counless creme bruleees over the years.
Everything was spot-on. The atmosphere, the service, the food..we will definitley be coming back to the Rusty Pelican more often. I higly recommend you give it a try if you've been thinking about it!
Came here for there bottomless breakfast and... Never walked out of restaurant before in my life and I did it for the first time here. Due to the Covid-19 virus they had to bring the buffet food to us which i was okay with when i called about making the reservation. Literally over an hour and 30 mins to get food serve for a buffet. And when the food finally came out it was horribly cooked and missing so many things. Manager didn’t seem to care when i spoke to him, waitress caught an attitude and took my girlfriends plate away and said “well i didn’t cook it!” when she cut into her “poached egg” and it was more hard boiled. I walked out went to the Hard Rock for the same bottomless experience, they had the same situation with the virus and seemed to handle it much better because I had a way better experience. More food and less price.
Our Sunday brunch was disappointing at best. We understood the revised buffet format but were surprised at how I'll prepared the staff was.
I'm happy to see your review says, "For Now". This past Sunday was our first go at a plated menu serving over 200 guests. We were ill prepared and we are taking ownership of that. We have made vast changes in the past week to ensure that never happens again. Please join us again for brunch in the future so we can show you the changes we've made to improve. The ambience was nice, however, the food was very disappointing for the cost I paid. It reminded me of yacht starship. The first batch of crab legs we ordered must have been from the night before bc it taste like it was boiled in salt water. I never knew crab legs could taste so nasty. I would never return. Nor would I recommend to anyone else I know personally.
Hi Jackalyn- I am sorry to hear you were disappointed with your brunch experience this past week. As you know this is not our normal brunch operation and we had to change our years of perfectly executed brunch in a few short hours in order to keep our guests and employees safe. This is an incredible restaurant....great views and great food..... The food was delicious but steak was a little over done but not to much.... The onion marmalade with the steak was outstanding.... All in all was a great dinner
Disappointed in the cleanliness of the restaurant in light of the virus concerns. The floor was filthy with tons of crumbs, a spoon was on the floor for an unknown reason and there was no hand sanitizer to be found anywhere. There were buckets of soapy water on the servers’ carts with a printed label stating “sanitizing solution”. I ordered a side of risotto that I never received. For a $$$ restaurant, I expected more.
