Rusty Pelican - Tampa
The Rusty Pelican offers a wide array of amenities that include a full menu specializing in American cuisine. The menu features the Chef’s Daily Selections that provide diners with rare and delicious options to offset the incredible fresh seafood and juicy steaks that the menu already offers.
Please contact the restaurant for reservations over 8 guests. We will do our best to accommodate your reservation.
Romantic place with water view and good food.
Valentine’s Day dinner. Great service but very disappointed in the food. Mediocre at best. Not the gourmet dining we expected given the high price tag. Probably won’t return.
The atmosphere is very nice! But the food quality is not the greatest. To be honest I am shocked so many people give this place a lot of stars. To me for the money you can’t compare the food here to many other fab places in Tampa.
One of our favorite places to go celebrate , we love the food and the creme brûlée is the best
Enjoyed our Dinner, would recommend getting a table on the water. Customer parking was an issue but overall a great experience
We celebrated my sister’s birthday. We had a wonderful event. The service was fantastic. The food was scrumptious and delicious. The view of the ocean from day thru sunset and into the night was amazing!!!!
We had a reservation for 1:15 but were asked to wait and eventually seated at 1:30. Of the brunch buffet, the most decent item were the fajitas. While my party tried many of the other items (seafood, salad, etc.), no one was wowed by anything. To end in a good note, the service was good and the mimosas and coffee were great. Nothing to write home about.
Online the price stated $35.99 for the buffet- at the restaurant it was $49.99 for the buffet. For that’s price I don’t think it was worth the money AT ALL. The food was good but there was not steaks or full seafood dishes that could equal $50 worth of food. I would not come back here mainly for the price. The food that was there was very good but omelets, waffles, and eggs should not cost that much. There are too many other brunch places I. The area for much cheaper prices and better quality food.
Great view and good food. Service was good too.
Great view and good food. Service was good too.
Great atmosphere and delicious food! Took my wife for an early Valentine's day dinner and she loved it.
Our server Josh was very helpful. They accommodated my garlic allergy. The appetizer platter of calamari, shrimp, artichokes and scallops was great. $16 for a martini is a little over the top. Everyone liked their food, it was a nice place on the bay and we would return.
The service was a little slow as the restaurant seemed to be short staffed as it was a late lunch. The food was excellent as always.
Great meal at a great place.
Thank you for making our first anniversary so special!
Great food as always! A little noisy, but we didn’t mind!
The food was excellent. The setting was wonderful. The service was well timed. Two issues: The restaurant was too dark to read the menu. There should have been an earlier explanation that the salads were going to be an additional charge. Add on charges to a diner can leave a dampened feeling about the experience since you never see that until the check comes.
Very nice experience. Lovely ambiance. Great views. Sea scallops were amazing!
WAY WAY WAY WAY TOO EXPENSIVE! OVER $250 FOR MY WIFE AND MYSELF!! Also the noise level was so high my wife and I had to yell at each other to communicate.
Food is good.
View is excellent.
No other restaurants, to my knowledge, is as close to ocean as Rusty Pelican.
Service is excellent.
Great view, great food, great ambiance...what more could you ask for? Seafood is fresh, lots of variety. Prices are a little high, but the quality justifies it...
Great food, beautiful views and Amanda, our server, was vastly knowledgeable about the food and the area
Great restaurant with excellent food and ambience.
My husband and I went to the Rusty pelican the last night of our honeymoon. It was the best meal. The food was delicious, the service was too notch and the staff was knowledgeable
Beautiful resteraunt, amazing views! The artichoke appetizer was great. The wine pairings were perfect. Love it!
The restaurant is in need of maintenance. Broken light fixture. Wear and tear that hasn’t been addressed.
We went expecting a local seafood dining experience; however, the food menu was very underwhelming and commercial. The daily catch was Halibut, which is not a local fish, so we questioned the freshness. Our entrees were over cooked and lacked seasoning. The service was good, and the view was lovely; however, we will not be returning.
Everything was great and romantic. Service was wonderful.
Only issue was the drinks. No matter how many we drank, just couldn't get a good one.
But still had a great time and will be going back.
An excellent experience. We took an out of town guest, and were all very happy and impresssed.
We made a last minute reservation which resulted in a 5:45pm dinner. Kind of early but the hostess assured us we would have a gorgeous sunset. Boy did we ever!! The food was delicious! My husband was a fan of the Smoked Old Fashioned and the wine was perfect. Highly recommend this restaurant!
My third time here. I cannot stress how amazing this place is. The food is great, so well prepared. Presentation is top-shelf. And, it's totally delicious. But, believe it or not, you spend a lot less for this gourmet-level food than you'd think. It's reasonably-priced--especially, for what you get! The view is incredible. We saw fish flying all over the place. Because of elevated seating in some areas, even with a bunch of people in the lower dining area (which is closer to the window), you can still see the Bay with a clear view. This place can be a nice, peaceful lunch with a friend, or a romantic getaway. You make it what it is. The ambiance is what you'd expect from a name like 'Rusty Pelican.' It's nautical-like, rustic, and perfect. Highly-recommended.
The food is reqlly very bad.Food wqs burnt and too much salty
Service was great food was great too we go every year for our anniversary dinner
Amazing meal, awesome atmosphere, and incredible service. My wife and I are picky and this is one of our new favorite spots!
I did not think this restaurant lived up to its review. Firstly, I had requested a window table for our party - a group of professionals who see each other once or twice a year. We did not receive it, and in fact were seated about as far away from a window as physically possible. While I understand that there are only so many of those tables, and we just didn't qualify as one of the lucky groups that got one. But without that table, this restaurant is average at best, and I would imagine a similar experience achievable at any number of other chain restaurants in the area. With respect to the food and service in particular, although our appetizers were good, at least my entree, which was seafood at a seafood restaurant, was overcooked. The servers got the orders wrong, and so an effort to have the synchronized delivery of entrees turned into a plate shuffle. This experience left me wishing that we would have picked someplace else for our one opportunity to dine together this year.
Had an excellent dinner celebrating our 19th anniversary. Food was perfect and the view spectacular.
I rated service 1 star just because it took over 15 minutes to be recognized after being seated. A definite server miscommunication while other servers should have been aware. My server, once there, was spot on and attentive. The restuarant manager stepped up and recognized the goof and comped my beverages, so I'm giving 5 stars on all other areas.. The meal as a 3 course prix fixe for restaurant month was a bargain. I had blackened Swordfish, sweet potato, and asparagus. Delicious in every way. I'm glad I stayed despite the initial hiccup. This is a great spot for sunsets, and with the usual cold snap, they had the fireplaces blazing. BTW, try the Smoked Old Fashion....tasty.
Received great service as always! Scallops were a bit over cooked (not usually like that) but everything else was incredible per usual
Fantastic options for Brunch and great service. Bloody mary prices are great too...$4.50!
They have a nice variety of brunch goodies to choose from and bottomless mimosas! The service was awesome and attentive!
