Beautiful Tampa Bay view and the food was wonderful
Just below Ocean Prime and Eddie V’s, but with a great view of the Bay, which neither of the former 2 have. Servers professional and friendly.
Everyone is very friendly from the restaurant manager to the server went above and beyond. I didn't expect how the act and take it seriously what's going on right now. Everyone is very careful and you can feel the sincerity of everyone. Marina one of our servers takes pride in what she's doing and she's having fun that's a good work ethic. Kudos to the management how they prepared everything during this difficult time.
The restaurant was beautiful but the food wasn’t good at all. It was bland and the lobster and shrimp were tough.
The Ambiance is great. Great views. They are doing a great job during Covid and you can tell they are doing everything as safe as possible to be open. Food was good flavor although risotto was not hot enough just luke warm. Lobster slightly overcooked. The filet was good and cooked just right. The whole snapper was delicious. The conch fritters had very good flavor and cooked perfectly although the conch pieces were a bit small and too chewy. The sauce for the conch fritters was out of this world good. We used it for multiple things. Overall good experience and would return. Hopefully more attention to preparedness of the seafood.
Everything was nice..we were sat by very rude and disrespectful people. My husband and I were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were having a good time until the young couple sat down in front of us.

Our server was very good. The menu is VERY limited. Our server said they incorporated the menu from their Miami location and it wasn't going to be expanded back after COVID. Prices were in line with higher end steak houses in the area, but food quality did not match. I was told my chicken would take a while because they are large chickens and it actually looked like a cornish hen size and was very dry and overcooked. The filet and lobster were good but not excellent which you would expect for $77 ala carte.
Quality of food for price questionable. Food good, but not great. Service amazing. View amazing.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food was pretty terrible- and the price was really high.

Sorry to say, The Rusty Pelican has definitely lost their mojo after the pandemic. Waiter was alouf and not attentive, quality of food for price is a joke. They raised their prices and unfortunately the price increase was not reflected in the quality of the food. Lobster was overcooked, portions tiny and flavors blah. This used to be one of our favorites and unfortunately, we will not be returning.

It’s a shame food was excellent but very limited menu and overpriced. I wanted scollops but only available as appetizer. 3 medium size scollops $19. Side items are $10-14. French onion soup was excellent. Not sure will try again.

Restaurant was very good about sanitation, social distancing, etc. My dish was great (Chilean Sea Bass), but my husband had the snapper and was not impressed. Ambiance was perfect, saw dolphins out the window. There were a lot of flies that bothered us. Staff and manager was great. Still smells old (musty) though considering that they had recently renovated.
Over priced, tired interior, waiters apron was filthy, poor service, raunchy smell inside restaurant, $50 entree’s were not good (filet & fish).
The only redeeming feature was the view is pretty.

Waiter could have been on point better. The view was awesome.
I took my best for her birthday and was also accompanied by my daughter. My daughter and best friend had to send their dishes back because the food was COLD! My daughter had to send hers back for a second time due to the temperature of the food! Considering the restaurant was empty, I'm not understanding the reasoning for the food to be served cold. Especially with the price of their dishes, I would definitely expect them to be held to a higher standard. However, the drinks were on point!

Waiter was outstanding, the ambience great. After being seated, we waited 90 minutes for our food to arrive and most of the hot dishes were barely warm. The taste was okay but would have been much better if delivered hot.
Rusty pelican was a favorite when I was younger. I havent been in a while. The weather was rainy and there were buckets everywhere catching water from the ceiling. The food was average. Our bill was $200+ and not worth that. Our service was awesome. I just found that it wasnt the same from the times I had been before. I was disappointed.
My husband and I went for dinner now that restrictions related to COVID-19 have eased in our state. I would have to say the only thing that has suffered is the ambiance. It definitely didn’t look like the Rusty Pelican I remembered, but they can’t really do anything for that with the current situation we’re in. Outside of that, the food was fantastic and the service was exemplary!! Can’t wait to go back once life is normal again.
Normally have no issues but this time the entrees took a while to come out which is not a big deal as the kitchen looked back up but the broccolini and mashed potatoes were cold. Thankfully the salmon was cooked properly. The Manager was apologetic and offered us dessert on the house. Nice of him to do so but not necessary. Did not take advantage of it as I don’t eat dessert but appreciated the offer. Will go back again but if it repeats, will take this off my list as there a number of options at this price point
We were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary! The service was excellent and the food was exceptional! Social distancing was maintained and it was still a nice environment during these very different times!

Great ambiance and excellent service. Food was not cooked correctly therefore not worth the price, but still a very nice restaurant with a great view!
This was my second visit to the Rusty Pelican and this time the service, ambiance and food was just as great as the first. The staff is awesome in meeting all your needs especially the waiting staff with regards to dietary needs or even just a replacement with the foods on the menu. Awesome dinning experience that I highly recommend.

Horrible food after waiting one hour for it to arrive. Meals were cold, soggy and very unappetizing. Our server was great, and the manager did come over twice. He ended up taking care of our entire bill, which was around $60 just for lunch for 2 people. I won’t be going back.

Fantastic brunch! Table overlooked water for an amazing view, service was perfect, and the food was delicious. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!
Great to have RP open again! Food was great and service was friendly as always. Loved the new al la carte brunch. Only knock was that it took over an hour for food to come out, but completely understand the need to get back into the swing of things, particularly with a new menu.

The food and service were as great as ever, and they have opened more rooms so that we were actually by ourselves for a while in the room next to the main dining room. Very safe and serene, as well as delicious!
