Root Down and the Edible Beats Family (Root Down, Linger, Vital Root & El Five) are very grateful to welcome you to our restaurant.

Our menu features eclectic, globally-influenced seasonal cuisine, with a focus on organic, natural and locally-sourced ingredients.

Our interior dining space has the classic vibe of a neighborhood restaurant, while our large main patio offers picturesque views of the near neighborhood and downtown skyline.

Reservations are available online at ediblebeats.com, as well as OpenTable. We happily accept walk-ins as availability allows.

Our space is available for private events year round, please inquire with us directly for information.

Please be aware we are located in a residential area, and parking is available in the near neighborhood, along with a small paid-lot located directly across the street from our location.

Service was over the top excellent. The manager was engaged and helpful (which is not something I typically see) and our server was fantastic. Food was very good, as expected. The price point is the only thing that brings this rating down... a bit pricey by comparison.

Unfortunately, Root Down was a let down. The food was the biggest issue. It was as though the chefs were trying to hard to create something extraordinary for a low cost as possible. Portions were small and prices were mismatched. The flavors failed to mesh well and service was slow and haphazardly presented with shares coming after entrees. We had a friendly and helpful server though! The bar drinks were also hit or miss. I had not been in years, but, sadly, this did not live up to expectations. Finally, a 5% service charge assessment to offset weak wages was disappointment to see when the bill arrived! Won’t return or recommend Root Down.

Fantastic experience. Warm service. Creative and delicious food you won’t find anywhere else. Great cocktails. Interesting decor. One of my favorite restaurants in Denver.

Food was fantastic, all cooked perfectly, and very tasty! Our server Maddie was awesome and made great recommendations without being pushy. Dessert was excellent, and one of the best espressos I’ve ever had.

We dine at Root Down often but just had one of the best meals yet! We love staples like the arepas, baby beet salad and the banana cream pie but the new items on this seasonable menu are awesome!
