   This place is incredibly consistent. Food is fresh, flavorful, interesting, and can be made to order for people with dietary restrictions. The space is lovely. Great for brunch or dinner with friends. The only thing that’s difficult is parking.

   Beautiful building, beautiful decor, and an overall great ambiance. The out door seating in the back is lovely. For the price of the dishes they have I was not impressed unfortunately. The tempura mushrooms were good, not great and small. The vegetarian sliders (2) were okay but not as decent. The risotto was pretty good though, we got the vegetarian version, so they took out the chorizo and added a sweet potato for 8$ but it was pretty tasty. For the tempura mushrooms appetizer Two sliders the risotto and a iced tea the bill came to over $100 Which is crazy for basically two appetizers and entree that were literally JUST decent... You go to root down expecting to spend some money, but I expected to be satisfied and absolutely was not. I won't be back, but it's still a well designed place with good energy to it But for the price, there is so many better places to spend $100 and not leave still hungry and wishing it was, just better, for what you spent. Good on them though, There profit margins without question are astronomical and you'd think a establishment like this wouldn't need to charge a "Denver employee benefit surcharge" designed to ensure staff get are paid properly lol Rootdown is not Olive Garden nor does it have Olive Garden clientele.

   Awesome experience last night at Root Down. Our server, Francisco, was the best we’ve had in Denver in recent memory. The seasonal marg is insanely delicious. The red rice risotto had incredible flavor and texture and I’ll be craving it until we eat there again. And the Tom Kha never disappoints. I never get enough of Root Down.

   Been a regular here since moving to Denver in 2010 and Root Down never fails to deliver an excellent experience all the way around! Our server, Cass, was terrific, and the GM, Tiffany, came over to introduce herself to us, which was a nice touch.

    Wonderful place!Attentive & friendly wait staff. Funky boho decor. Tasty creative dishes. Very reasonable happy hour prices. Stopped by for a drink and smallish meal with a friend before attending a high octane lecture at the DMNS. Root Down helped make it a great night!
