   The service was great but the food was very mediocre, except for the burger. Everything else was extremely overpriced for what it was - pretzel appetizer was $9 for very small amount, Bacon wrapped dates as well had very small portions. The fries were not fresh and the presentation of the BBQ short ribs was messy and unappealing.

   Amazing dinner. Our server Maddie was excellent. This was our best meal during our stay in Boulder. Get a selection of the smaller dishes and ask the bar manager to create a delicious cocktail for you. Sit in the annex it has has a great vibe.

   This is my new favorite restaurant in Boulder! It’s decorated so beautifully, the food was amazing and the service was excellent

   Really wanted to love this restaurant…but we were very disappointed. Let’s start with what was good. The ambiance in the front of the restaurant is incredibly charming. The bar area is fantastic and our server was professional. However, we were seated in the back tent area. They have made the most of the tent seating to try and match the cool and cozy vibe of the front area, but it is not nearly as nice an atmosphere as the front. And the heaters were cranking this evening and the smell of gas was unmistakable. But the most disappointing part of our evening was the food. Frankly nothing we ordered was very good and a few things were noticeably bad. The salad was soggy and inedible - just doused in dressing. Had river trout with the salad - cooked well - texture perfect but way too salty/over seasoned. My wife had the quinoa veggie burger and it was mushy and just fell apart after first bite - only could finish a quarter of that burger as the texture was so unappealing. The $8 pile of fries was overpriced for what tasted like routine uninspired frozen fries. Maybe just an off night for the kitchen, but we did not have a good meal at River and Woods.

   We made a reservation for an indoor table and got seated outside in a tent without any heat. Everything was cold from our chairs to our food, and the service. We brought family here from out of town and we were embarrassed by our terrible dining experience. You would be better off burning $250 dollar bills to stay warm than spending it on your dinner.

   Had a great birthday dinner! I love the outside structure, though it is a little chilly. Wood chairs would be more comfortable than the metal ones when it’s cold! The food was delicious tho. The cheese burgers got high marks, as did the mac and cheese. Always love the deviled eggs too. Will visit again soon

    It was cold in the tented dining room and melting snow trickled through the seams of the fabric. That was unpleasant. Food was good especially the trout.
