Perf date spot. Hefty apps, sweet marg deals, tasty plates. Head here next date night
waitress awesome and made great suggestions. sat outside which was great but noise level with band was not tolerable inside
Good food and service. Had trouble with WiFi, which caused problems accessing menu.
The service was slow. There was a fork that had sharp edges and one person got a metal shard in her hand. No one seemed to care. The appetizers were
Tasteless. My meal of short rib in red Chile tasted and had the texture like it had been sitting for days. We have loved it in the past but last night was awful.
Food was really not great. Nothing special. Put cheese on tacos when we asked to leave off. Will not go back.
Two times after we placed an order the waiter returned to inform us the item wasn’t available. Not super impressed by this lack of knowledge / awareness.
Food was good / average.
Service was pretty good.
I won’t hurry back.
Mexican food was great. One person had a hamburger and found it ordinary. Otherwise, good value.
Disappointing to say the least. Guacamole looked old and store bought. Tacos not so great. Unlikely to return.
Service was absolutely terrible. Another couple sat near us and ended up walking out after not being helped for a long time. My veggie burger came out legit a sloppy soup— it was not a solid burger. My husbands meal came incorrect. Needless to say, would not come back. However, Hazel, the cocktail bar down the street was awesome!
Hostess was not nice, but everything else was fantastic
I ordered an entrée with Pan Seared Shrimp, Black Bean Puree Mirror, Plantains Topped with Salsa Veracruzana (Green Olives, Heirloom Tomatoes, Shallots, Capers, Butter, White Wine). It was just bland, no Unami. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t memorable. My friend ordered Red Chile Braised Beef Short Ribs. She had no complaints. But it was interesting that they brought her meal outs a good five minutes or more before mine.
It just wasn't what I was expecting for such a great location on Pearl St.
Service was slow, the food was underwhelming, our margaritas came out warm with a few ice cubes, and the service was slow and unengaging.
The food was fine. The service was average, but my lord, it was HOT in the restaurant. We chose to eat inside instead of sitting in the 99 degree weather outside, but it was INCREDIBLY hot inside. I felt sick leaving because I was overheating.
We’ve been to Que Bueno multiple times and usually really enjoy our experience hence our repeated visits. However, the timing and expediency of service, quality and taste of food, and overall experience were sub par this time.
Meh - service was good. Food was underwhelming. Drinks were okay. Patio is nice.
The guy who greeted me at the door was pretty standoffish. We started with a couple of apps - ceviche, wings and queso. The ceviche and queso were very good, I would not order the wings again. They were pretty chewy. We all ordered tacos and they weren’t filled very full. They could easily be eaten in 1-2 bites. While I understand they were street taco style, they still should have had more filling. When we asked for salsa for the tacos, our server looked at us like we had 3 heads. He was also very standoffish and seemed annoyed we stayed for a couple of drinks after we were done eating. I was very excited to try this place, but unfortunately it was disappointing. Hoping it was an off day, but I’m not sure I’ll return to find out.
My first drink was so blah and didn’t have any taste to it i ask if i could change it and they did. Next drink was better. The mole was ok. One thing we got mad the girl who takes our plates took our margarita without asking n it was still half full i told her and she just froze didn’t even say sorry or brought me a new one. So that we didn’t like.
Went for brunch. Terrible service, waitress didn’t know the menu.
We dined on a Saturday night and had a reservation. This was our first visit. We ordered the queso fundido with rajas, which was really good. We wanted the smoked old fashioned but were told it was not available - someone clearly didn't do their job to get this ready in time for a busy Saturday night. I ordered a jalapeno margarita but got a plain margarita with salt on the rim (didn't order anything on the rim). Waited a long time for dinner. The camarones a la veracruzana was disappointing. The shrimp were served on a bed of cold black bean puree. Why would you serve hot food on cold beans? The "salsa" was not a salsa at all (had no flavor of butter or white wine). The pollo en mole was dry chicken and was smothered with so much mole, it took away from the dish, the mexican rice was good though. The drink service was awful! We waiting a very long time for our drinks - so long that we had finished our dinner before they arrived. Plenty of better options in Denver for mexican fare.
Very disappointing experience from beginning to end. After being seating at a table next to the kitchen (and plenty of open tables), we asked for another table and were flatly refused.
Service was incredibly slow & when we finally ordered drinks, apps and entrees - the entrees were delivered 5 minutes later -- before drinks and apps. A few minutes later, the rest were served. Not a very relaxing way to serve a meal.
I had the vegetarian chili rellanos, which were very bland. I was also surprised the chili was basically a raw poblano. After waiting 10 minutes for some hot sauce (to add some flavor), i was shocked to see a charge for hit sauce on the bill. Really??!!
Overall, the food was mediocre, service was inattentive, atmosphere was generic. Very disappointing experience and will not be back. I wish we had gone to our local Mexican restaurant for better food at half the price.
Fire time to this place. Interior is beautiful. Unfortunately our waiter was sort of out of it. He didn’t introduce himself or offer drinks. We ordered fajitas and they were cold and not sizzly like they usually come (we saw others coming out of the kitchen fresh and hot). Liked the homemade tortillas but didn’t find food was worth the price. Hopefully can give this place another go someday.
Came for Mother’s Day brunch with my wife and 2 young kids (5 and 3 y/o). Very positive experience. Service, food, and drinks were all great. No kids menu, but my kids loved the French toast (had to order a 2nd plate as my kids devoured the first plate). And they were giving a free entre + free drink to all moms which was very nice. Fantastic location on S Pearl St. It was great finishing brunch and then stepping right out into the Farmers Market.
Food was just OK and service was pretty unremarkable. They weren’t very busy and our server was unmotivated.
Nice but a bit over priced, food is not special but the atmosphere is nice.
I was completely blown away by our experience here! They have many vegetarian options, gorgeous ambiance, friendly attentive staff and the value of dishes was incredible. We didn’t believe the check was ours because the number was so small for how much food and drink we enjoyed. I will come back time & time again. Food was flavorful and came out fast. Really pleasant surprise!
Mike our waiter and the bartender was awesome. Loved his recommendations on the food and the margaritas we're great - loved him educating us about the tequila. We both had fajitas - my husband carne aside, and mine we're shrimp fajitas, both dishes delicious and the guacamole appetizer was great.
We'll be back, a hidden little gem of a restaurant on South Pearl St.
We would rate our experience as marginal, at best. Service was poor and inattentive, the chili rellenos were some of the weirdest ever concocted (far from authentic), and the restaurant was literally “out” of three different offerings. We know that restaurants have struggled this past year, but this one falls short on its own.
It was Cinco de mayo, but service was terrible, manager was unhelpful, we never got food or drinks for an hour despite asking 3 people (including the manager), nothing was comped. Would NOT recommend.
Out of most things on the menu. Very slow service and then over charged us. Not too impressed this time
We've been a few times and it's always been great, but we went for Cinco de Mayo and it took about an hour or so to get our food and multiple other tables were saying the same thing - sometimes waiting close to 2 hours. We had to remind our server about drinks a few times.
Plus, the food looked like it had been sitting there waiting to be brought to the table, looked old and cold.
Definitely an off night for them on what you think would be their busiest night. What a miss, but we'll be back as the 2 previous times were great.
This is a very pretty restaurant. We visited during the Cinco De Mayo Celebration and had such a nice time. The vibe is lively, but not raucous. The food was delicious. In spite of some outages, we were provided delicious substitutions. I would never have tried the fish taco, but recommend it highly. Chips and salsa are above the norm. The margs are splendid but sadly did not get to try a nitrogen cocktail. Our needs were well attended to. The plan is to visit on a normal day. The reservations have been made.
Service was terrible. 45 Minutes for drinks and 1.5 hours for food
Food was great, as were the margaritas. Excellent service and a great happy hour.
Outstanding service and friendly staff.
The food was excellent!!
Very tasty and excellent choice for brunch. The vegetarian brunch option was loaded with flavor. Paired with the fried plantains and a mimosa, it was the perfect amount of food.
Great food! Ribs and hominy was best! Really great service too!
Food was amazingly good and service was super friendly. A very unique experience a high quality Mexican restaurant.
Great food and cocktails. Unique menu - nice change from Tex/Mex. One of our favorite spots.
Our waiter, David, was very professional and attentive to our party of 4. We ordered tamales, fajitas and tacos. Presentation and taste of the food was superb. The magaritas were very fresh. We will be back!
Fabulous as always!!!!
