Public School 303 was such a relaxing way to spend Sunday brunch. Sitting outside under the trees was the perfect way to start the week. Also, share the eggs benedict pizza!
This was our second time at Public School and we had Sarah both times. She is awesome! The food is amazing, ambiance is nice and it was overall a wonderful experience. We plan to make going to Public School a regular occurence!
Made a reservation for 9:15 because the site allowed us to. We called to push back a few minutes and they told us we couldn’t even come in at 9:15 because their kitchen closes. Understandable but why does the website allow us to do that. It ruined our night. That was our entire plan. We had to get fast food instead because we couldn’t get anything that last minute.
Seems they’re still figuring things out upon reopening. But overall it was a super great outdoor dining experience. Food was good but service was kind of slow. We will be back to try out brunch or happy hour.
Horrible service. Food is okay, and their happy hour is a decent deal.
Servers were not wearing masks properly and things didn't feel super clean. I know it can be uncomfortable, but if you are going to work right now, you need to have a mask covering your mouth and nose.
I have eaten here in the past and it was really good but my last visit was disappointing. The table they sat us at was dirty but they apologized and quickly cleaned it. Then one of the water glasses they brought us had someones lipstick stain on it. The burger was good but it was room temperature and the fries were a mixture of hot and even cold fries. We went during happy hour and ordered cocktails which when they are advertised for happy hour you would expect them to be cheaper but their happy hour is $4 to $6 cocktails and if you order a cocktail that is already $6 or less then there is no discount of any kind which we got told after we had the drinks. Again, normally I have had a good experience here but last time was a huge let down.
I had a reservation for 10p. We arrived at 9:50 and the female bartender shouted from behind the bar that they were closed. I told her we had a reservation and she again said they were closed.
I would have thought after the past 3 months, a restaurant works welcome guests, no matter what the time or situation.
It’ll be a while before I consider coming back here.
FAIL on 303 Public School’s part.
Great place for a birthday before a concert
Yah could have been better. Great for a lazy afternoon but I expected more for our money based on the reputation. I don't think I will be going back
I just wasn’t very moved. Food was great, we had a couple appetizers off of the happy hour menu. Server was good. Just the atmosphere was slow and boring. Was hoping for a better date night scene.
We went for restaurant week and the value of a meal off the normal menu and not the preset menu was slightly cheaper than the preset one. This was somewhat disappointing as i have come to have really high expectations for the restaurant week menus.
However! The food we had was delicious and the service was awesome. The beer was good and well recommended by our server
Of the four dishes we tried, there was way too much lemon in all of them. The dishes were beautiful and had a lot of potential had they not been showered in lemon.
Our first time there (we're locals) and we loved it. We will return.
FYI, since we dine out every weekend, we try new places on Restaurant Week. We really enjoyed PS and we will return.
Please note this review is strictly off our experience with the long wait and poor service. This was a cool spot with good reviews. My friends and I were really excited to try this spot out. The decor is cool, location great, but outside of the hostess on Saturday night, the service took so long that we ended up ordering one round of drinks so we could drink them while we found another reservation somewhere else. We ran about 10 minutes late to our reservation, when calling to let them know the hostess was polite and accommodated us when we arrived. It wasn't busy when we got there, about 6- 8 tables total sat through out the restaurant, no more than one 6 top at one of them. It was over 20 minutes before our server even acknowledged we were there and we didn't even get a hello, just a "what can I get you to drink". We didnt try the food and I may down the road give this another shot but this first experience unfortunately wasn't good.
Service was awful. I saw other servers were good but ours just sucked! Also, it was super loud. Not because it was busy (it was pretty dead actually), but they blared the music. For what reason, I don’t know. Think that’s their idea of ambience?! My food off the restaurant week menu was quite good. Others weren’t that big of fans. I wouldn’t exactly recommend this place.
Kid friendly, great menu selection, good drink menu
The bun on my burger was soggy. Our waiter was slow and didn't check in on us, forgot things that we ordered.
Service was really bad. Food was ok. Restaurant interior was actually very cool, but everything felt kinda sticky.
My boyfriend and I couldn’t decide on entrees because we wanted to try so many appetizers, it was delicious! The whiskey BBQ wings and Dijon mustard pretzel dipping sauce were phenomenal!
It was clear management was no where to be found. Staff was all sitting around a table on their phones laughing and needed to be waved down to order. Food was disgusting and not worth the price. Sparkling wine was flat and clearly old.
I wish I could think of something positive to say, but sadly I cannot. The restaurant had several very large parties and seemed overstaffed which may have attributed to the the service being dismal. It took 30 minutes to get one cocktail and the food was mediocre.
I really wanted to love this place as I’ve heard several good things about it. Unfortunately, the food was like warm (I’m not one to send food back to the kitchen) and our server seemed like she was on 3 hours of sleep.
The service can be hit or miss and tonight was a major miss. It wasn’t crowded but we still had a hard time getting our server’s attention and when we did, she was rude. The food was great and the beer was cold.
Went for New Year’s Eve. It was advertised “happy hour prices until close.” Got there and a family was turned away in front of us for not having reservations. Note: the restaurant was almost completely empty all night and yet people were being turned away.
Turns out it was ONLY happy hour menu, which was a crappy list of well liquor and 2 kinds of wine, plus some beers. None of us were able to order entrees for dinner. Our New Year’s Eve “dinner” was sub-par appetizers that were small and overpriced.
The waitress was unenthusiastic about being there, and service was poor all night. Super bummed about our special New Year’s Eve dinner, and won’t be going back.
Great experience! Delicious food and great drinks!
Fun place for New years Eve, maybe a little short staffed tho.
So disappointing. Server was nice but didn’t seem to know much about the menu. Mimosa came out with hair in it, sent it back and it came back AGAIN with hair in the carafe (neither were comped on our bill). Ordered appetizers that never came. Meals came out incorrectly. Advertised burger deals on the table that “weren’t available”. When the manager came over to our table he was very unprofessional asking, “what’s the problem?” And after we introduced ourselves he said “ok.” Absolutely won’t go back because of the manager which is a bummer because the food was good.
Great food and service. Eardrum-shattering “music” volume. I like to talk during an evening out, so will not be returning.
We were group of 11 and the server did not bring entree for 4 of them. When asked she forgot to put the order. It was a team event and it embarrassing the team members were not served food. Server was not attentive, she barely came to the table. Very disappointing.
Kitchen had water leak and we had to leave.
Great food, drinks and ambience. So much fun hanging out after our meal to play jenga and darts!
Excellent food that was delivered fast! I met a friend here for lunch and we had a great time.
Service was extremely slow but the food was great as always
Really great food and the server did a nice job!
Good food and service!
Too noisy, two big parties whose noise level overwhelmed our section of the restaurant. Food was good, service average.
Slow service and small portions but very good. Drinks were delicious
Too noisy, not very clean, mediocre service. Food not served hot.
Great casual dining. We sat outside which worked out well.
