   We had the 3 course set lunch menu for £45 but had 2 mocktails and 2 glasses of champers between 2. Having recently dined at Royal Hospital Road i was curious to see how another of Gordon Ramsey establishments held up. I recently had an experience at Frog, so i was getting in the mood. Firstly the restaurant has twice the number of tables as Royal Hospital Road. And its pretty loud and vibrant. I liked that. It gave the feel of a younger crowd. There is gentle mood music and the venue feels upbeat and modern. We are sat at a table for 2 right next to the centre wine cellar, a modern see through wine cellar temperature controlled cylinder which goes from floor to ceiling. Its pretty cool. The greeting is polite and the front of house is french but has a sense of humour. Hes good banter. The menu comprises of salmon, chicken and rhubarb. The food is really good. Tasty and typical of the ramsey establishment. It is based on classic flavours done very well. The menu feels spring like - vibrant, bright and fresh. The highlight is the chicken; tasty, dainty and full of flavour. The black forrest dessert is unusual; you expect cherries but you get freshness of oranges. Really good actually.

   Outstanding dining experience as always. Innovative cuisine with excellent presentations by serving staff. Very knowledgeable sommelier who made excellent wine selection. We will continue to frequent them in our future travels to London!

   A lovely restaurant setting but let down by the incredibly small portions. Expensive and left feeling unfulfilled which was a shame

   We booked the Chef's table for our daughter's birthday and the experience was beyond expectations. The food was sublime, the service impeccable and it was a pleasure to take our friends there and share the experience. What a wonderful night to remember. Thank you to the team, especially Joseph who managed our evening with style and all the chefs at the different stations who came to explain the remarkable and beautiful dishes.

   I've been coming to Petrus for 20 years - but not been since COVID. I have to say the food has stepped up a level and this was the finest dining experience we have had in ages. The food, the wine & the service were all divine. The Truffle Linguini was a particular highlight managing that sophisticated simplicity only the best chefs can realise. Very good - will be returning.

    Having dined at Petrus before I was excited to take my Girlfriend here. Something has really changed about the Service and it was slow, impersonal and inattentive. We sat for 25 mins before being asked if we wanted a drink and the iPad put in front of us. I didn’t need to look and asked for 2 glasses of champagne. “Which one?” I was asked, rather than being talked through the options as would be usual. A further long wait, where our champagne was pretty much empty before nibbles and amuse came, Which are usually served with the champagne. It was 50 mins before our food order was taken. I then had to ask for wine rather it be offered and the iPad was put down on the table again with no offer of advice as is usual. Food was fair to good. My rack of fish was cold in the middle. For a £500 meal I really felt like I was an inconvenience to them being there. At this price point I just couldn’t recommend Petrus any more. This was just a meal, rather than an experience, which let’s face it, at this price point is what you are paying for.
