It allowed us to make reservations and wasn’t even open. You guys really need to figure it out. 2nd time this has happened. If a business isn’t OPEN don’t allow people to make reservations at their restaurants.
The restaurant was closed. So we were really screwed over on New Year’s eve.
This restaurant is closed, but they didn’t have the wherewithal to change their website, opentable presence, or voicemail to let anyone know.
It was closed.
I reserved this place and but the time we arrived the place was closed, very disappointing, they even call or text us back to let us know
This restaurant is NOT open. Do not reserve
Business was closed and did not cancel my reservation. Drove into Denver from out of town because we had this reservation.
Really like the large selection of micro brew beers. Tasty barbeque.
Oskar Blues is always top notch. Good service, Beer and Food.
Great food.. street and building construction is hurting foot traffic to this place. Had burgers and drinks which were excellent (asked to split an entree and they divided for us on two full size plates. Nice touch.) And,the waitress brought me extra olive juice for my martini without asking. They deserve more love. Stop in...you won’t be disappointed.
We ordered 4 meals, 3 had very overcooked elements. Chicken and waffles had the chicken very dry. The Benedicts all had a very dry and old tasting biscuit for the base. They weren't busy but it seemed to take almost half an hour to get our food. All in all, a disappointing meal.
The service was an issue. We had 5 people. The waiter forgot my sons drink, gave us 4 appetizer plates for 5 people, forgot the ranch for our wings, was reminded and still never brought it. Then we were splitting the bill between 2 parties and he took the cards, and the next day I find that he ran my card for both purchases. We didn’t notice when we signed so another member from our party signed for the other amount assuming it was ran on his. So I ended up paying the whole bill.
Food was decent, waiter terrible. No attention to detail whatsoever.
Food was great, as was the beer
Everything we had was great! Service was great!
Delicious send kind folks
Our server Tori was amazing, and the food was incredible. Highly recommended!
Only offered apps. Food menus was not available so we left.
The place was almost completely empty, but our server wasn’t able to handle his 2-3 tables. Drinks were empty even after we requested refills several times. The food took a lot more time than I would expect for a nearly empty restaurant. I took someone here for his birthday and I was embarrassed that he had such a bad experience.
Came here to try some beers and have a bit to eat for dinner. It was slow for a Sunday night, easy to get a table and the wait staff provided good service. Had the burger and beer combo. It was tasty. Good for the price. My friend had a salad. Overall good experience.
Very low quality food. Drinks were good, but over priced. Service was fine. Thought both pulled pork and brisket were especially poor
Food and service was excellent. The band "South Hill Banks" is an up and coming new band that would appear to be well on there way to stardom.
Fun place and great food before Zac Brown Band concert
We waited over an hour at the bar for our food. The bartender was very nice and accommodating and kept apologizing for the kitchen staff. It wasn’t her fault by any means. Had to scarf down a few bites of our meals just to attend our event on time.
There are too many excellent restaurants downtown for us to frequent this one again.
We went before the Billy Joel concert. We had a reservation for 6:30. Got drinks ordered food. It was 7:40 and still hadn’t gotten our food. We left without eating. Had to eat overpriced hot dogs at the concert.
We had a good time. Stopped here before a concert at Coors Field. Food was good and the beers were great. We sat outside so not sure about the inside of the restaurant.
All of our food was outstanding! We especially enjoyed the Pad Thai Curry fries..a little bit spicy, but very good! The service was exceptional for a lunch hour and we never had to ask for a drink refill. Have never eaten there for dinner, always lunch, but Dale should be proud.
Got in for dinner right as half price appetizer happy hour was ending, ended up getting appetizers for dinner and all at half price. Wanted the oysters that were on the website, but they said they no longer do them. Good service.
It is not often that a restaurant really surprises me, especially one that is ostensibly a sports bar. But, Oscar Blues Grill & Brew in LoDo did just that back in July. Yes, I need to apologize for the delay in delivering this promised review. In all honesty, the Gastropub moniker is a better fit as their food is quite good. I made reservations for 2 at 8 pm on a Friday evening. They were not overly busy, and we were greeted and seated promptly on arrival. Our friendly server, Tori, stopped by promptly and answered all our questions about the menu offerings. On one question for which she lacked an answer, she went and asked the chef. But, as soon as we were ready to order, things began to look bleak. They didn’t have any shrimp. Shoot, there go my Royal Reds & Grits, and what is Seafood Jambalaya without shrimp? My wife and I were stumped as to what to order at that point, so Tori ran back and got the Head Chef, Chris, who came out to speak with us and offer options. After describing several things to us in detail, my wife ordered the Jambalaya (with substitutions for the shrimp), and I settled on the Pork Belly. Oh yes, drinks – Oscar Blues is of course a brewery and I like beer. I decided to try one I had not had before and guess what – the tap was dry. Ouch! No problem, they have others I like such as G’Knight, their excellent Imperial Red Ale. My wife settled on a Pomegranate Jalapeno Margarita and really liked it. Dinner was served after a reasonable period and the manager, Chad Brown, stopped by our table to confirm everything was good – it was. So, what was surprising? Had this happened at most other restaurants of any type, I wouldn’t have been so laid back about it. In fact, we might have left for some other place given all the choices nearby. But, from the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome and genuinely appreciated as customers. This just doesn’t happen often, and we will remember Oskar Blues Grill for this.
Great beer. I love their sweet potatoe wedges. I am vegan and this place never disappoints. Bar is more active and louder but you can find a place to sit for conversation.
I grew up in Longmont, so OB is a friendly and familiar name. It was great to find a place right downtown where we could accommodate everyone in our group, from a 3 year old to my parents. And it was exactly what I've come to expect from an Oskar Blues experience- good food and beer, not too pricey, with great service.
Good food, good beer, good service! Would definitely return!
Met a friend for dinner & we both found some great choices. Service was exceptional.
Great good and great service! So glad we were able to enjoy Dale's Pale Ale at it's source!
Thursday at the bar was great. Good beers but could depend on thecrowd
If going out for beer and want some decent snacks it’s fine. If you want a good meal with a couple drinks, go to Longmont or the Springs. The meals were terrible.
Had the Enchiladas and they were very good. Friend had catfish and she said it was excellent. Another friend had the gumbo, but we all thought it was not gumbo, but jambalaya. We asked the server, but she said it was gumbo. Gumbo is a soup this was a rice dish. I don't think the server had any idea. The food was very good, but the service lacked. Our server did not come back until the end of our meal to see if we needed refills. The prices were very good for Lodo.
Our waiter Patrick was awesome! Had the whole family out for lunch and we had a great time. They were out of a couple of food items but overall it was a fantastic experience with great music and ambiance. We’ll be back!
Short ribs were great and beer was fantastic
Oskar Blues has some of the best stouts I've tasted in Denver so far, pairing very well with their truffle fries and massive burgers. The burgers were good cooked medium, but next time we'll probably ask for medium-rare because it seemed that medium was still a bit overcooked for our tastes. We went on a weeknight, which was a very laid back time to visit, no serious crowd to contend with. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful, giving us great suggestions from the menu and treating us with great kindness and care.
Great food, great service just my kind of place what more do ya want?
