Old Major offers lunch, dinner, happy hour and brunch, along with private dining and off-site catering options with dishes starting at $12. The full bar features a creative cocktail program, craft beer & wine.

What Insiders Are Saying
If you’re going to do Old Major, do it for an afternoon happy hour on the patio.
Food was good. Service was very lackluster. We were flagging down other servers to help our table because our server was always missing in action. Filling our first drink order took over 20 minutes, which is silly for mimosas since they just were walking around with pitchers of them. The service really ruined the experience.
Great service but way over priced for what you get.
A wonderful all around experience. We have visited before but for Brunch (which was also amazing). I would recommend Old Major for any occasion! Great cocktails, starters, small plates, entrees and desserts.
Consistently the best meal in Denver. If you haven't tried the fried chicken or the Nose to Tail, get here now and thank me later.
We dined at Old Major on the recommendation of Hank Shaw, who has been a guest chef at the restaurant. The recommendation more than held up. The food, service, drinks and ambience were fab It’s meat forward yet there are great, creative vegetarian options. We had the “Nose to tail” a duck special and scallops. One of us had soup the other a root vegetable salad. All perfectly cooked and delicious. Don’t miss the butterscotch pot de creme! The manager Cody is terrific. All in all a fun evening.
We went for New Year’s Eve brunch and our experience was just “okay” the food was pretty good, nothing to say there. But the moment we arrived the hostess was pretty much overwhelmed and clueless. We had reservations, restaurant was half empty and we waited 10 min for a table without any update. Our server was kind of short with us, kind of seemed annoyed with serving us. The temperature was very cold (yes it was 8 degrees out but turn on the heat please). Overall probably wouldn’t go back b
Showed up and the front hostess appeared confused about our reservation. I then showed an email confirmation to them and they said they were hesitant because a group of 10 was lingering longer than expected, holding up our table. There were multiple other tables open though. We waited ten minutes and then were seated, which was fine for us. We then waited longer than we felt normal to get our order taken. Our reservation was for 11:30 and with all that we didn’t get food until 12:50. Our reservation was for 11:30 to 1:00 so considering they were full and we had to wait for the previous table to leave to be seated, the slow service wasn’t appreciated. Then when we paid the waiter seemed to be hoping we would get up and leave faster even tho we had drinks to finish.
Best meal we had in 2018! Loved the food. Loved our waiter. Just outstanding.
This is one of my favorite places for brunch but my first trip for dinner. Absolutely delicious with amazing attention to detail. Friendly and attentive service on a very busy New Years Eve
Great food. Excellent Service.
Service was very slow and price did not match what we got
Took my parents. Great server. Great food! Fried chicken and waffles, eggs benedict!
Excellent service, drinks and food. Our server Caleb was exceptionally knowledgeable of the menu and helped make our dining experience wonderful
Really liked this place. Would’ve given higher scores but for a few things that were annoying. First, our table was by the door and we constantly got blasted by cold air when people entered and exited. They need to fix the door or put in heaters so the tables by the door don’t keep feeling the cold air. It affected the dining experience. Second, the menu (and the server) were not clear about the price of the charcuterie board - it’s per person not per board. Not all of us have the 20/20 vision to read tiny font that’s italicized (pp) so a verbal affirmation of the price would be effective. We were shocked at the price when our bill came. We thought we ordered two boards at $15 per board not $15 bucks per person (five is us... so the extra $75 bucks on our bill was unpleasant). The amount we got was not even close to the value. We were with new friends so we didn’t want to make a scene. Third, the cocktail I ordered was tiny and not very strong - for thirteen dollars I expected better. Otherwise, it was a nice experience. The lamb, fish tartar, and the fried chicken were excellent. Our friends enjoyed the pork and steak entrees as well. Overall the service was excellent and attentive (but for the charcuterie board snafu).
Happy hour is only served in the bar so if you want to take advantage of that I would recommend getting there early or request sitting there.
The food was amazing however I wish some of the portion sizes were a tad larger. We are everything we order it was so good will recommend to friends and

Good food and excellent service. Very noisy with a large group there and loud background music
Great ambiance and food was delicious although pricey.
The food is outstanding...the noise level was very high on a Saturday evening...but we were happy to be in a lively environment. We loved looking in on the kitchen and seeing food prepared. There is nothing like their Nose to Tail dinner!!!
Entrees were disappointing, especially for the price
The food was ok. I like the idea of a small menu but what you get and pay for is over priced . Not a great place for lunch for sure and that’s probably why it was empty over priced period.
Nice variety of different meat dishes for brunch and egg sandwiches, waffles and my personal favorite fried chicken and waffles. Great place just overpriced. Living in the neighborhood makes it hard to find a nearby everyday value restaurant. EVERYTHING IS OVERPRICED. But every once in awhile, it’s fine. It’s a great brunch location, especially in warmer weather when the patio and garage doors are open.
We loved everything about Old Major except the steak. We started with drinks and shared the mushroom & lentil soup. The soup was delicious, and we appreciated that it wasn't a heavy, cream-based soup. The sour tomitillos were a nice surprise. Our server brought out some prosecco for us (on the house) when our entrees didn't come out as quickly as he wanted. We didn't really even notice the delay.
I had seen an announcement recently about a new dry-aged steak option, so that's what I ordered. My wife ordered the Nose to Tail dish. Her dish was really amazing. Some of the best ribs I've ever tasted. Meaty bark with unctuous flesh underneath. She would have loved a little more of that butternut puree but hard to complain given how excellent the rest of the dish was.
The steak I received was cooked properly. It was a little gray around the edges, but I thought that might have been from the aging. Unfortunately, I just didn't get any aged beef flavor out of it. This $100 steak just sort of tasted like any average ribeye I could get around town. The other issue was what surrounded it - squash and apples. I don't associate those as flavor enhancers with steak. It just sort of seemed to me like they took a pork dish and substituted steak.
We finished with the chocolate ganache. That beet puree really blew our minds. We love beets and couldn't get over how true to the taste of beets it was. Combined with the sweet orange and chocolate - a fantastic match.
The food was delicious though on the pricier end. Our server was friendly; however, he felt newer and was not as attentive (though they were not busy). We had a group of 8, so perhaps a different server or a smaller group might have been a different experience.
You can't go wrong with everything made in house and fresh! The best fried chicken we've ever had and the pork burger is a mouthful of deliciousness. Highly recommend if you want something thats not traditional.
I took my wife there for her Birthday. Excellent staff and amazing food. I would highly recommend Old Major. We will certainly come back. Very impressive. Thanks Old Major!
Everytime we go to Denver this is a must stop. If you are a foodie, you would love this place. Great cocktails, amazing food and such a cool atmosphere. You can get in and out for $20 a person or if you feel like treating yourself, you can get a well crafted meal for more. I recommend the charcuterie plate to share at all times! Job well done Old Major.
Great little neighborhood restaurant. Excellent octopus and hand made parsley pasta shells! Attentive wait staff!
The food presentation was lovely. I had Alamosa bass, which was delicious, and my companion had the Korean pork ribs, which were very good. The wine was a perfect complement to the meal, and the Happy Hour drinks are very reasonable.
I feel like Old Major is slowly going downhill. It used to be *fabulous*, but the last 3 times we have gone it has been only *meh*. It seems like they have new chefs or something. Last night's meal was ok, but almost ruined by over-saltiness. Great drinks.
Best lunch entree in Denver in the Nashville Hot chicken tacos. Ghost pepper sauce with ranch a little slaw on a small flour tortilla. The new kale salad is a hit as well. I opt for a juicy banger on tap, but their craft cocktails are outstanding.
Great dinner at Old Major. Had an aged ribeye that was one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten. Great experience.
This was on my list and it was fantastic! Great food and ambiance. Left fully satisfied and we were with a group.
A lovely spot in a great neighborhood; would definitely recommend to locals and tourists alike.
One of the best meals we’ve had I. A while!
Brunch is great. Cocktails are creative and good. Always good beer on tap. The soft crab and shrimp scramble is incredibly good. Started with a small charcuterie and cheese platter. This has become a top three go to restaurants for us. Whether weekend brunch or the Nashville hot tacos during the week, this place is a winner!
Impeccable service, food, setting and ambiance. Friendly and helpful staff made deciding among the mutiple tasty options easier.
We were so pleased with the steak and the fried chicken. Once again we ordered too much food, but it was so good.
This meal was mediocre and the portions were small.
The service, food and ambiance was fantastic, we really enjoyed Old Major. I highly recommend.
The Bloody Mary was amazing - I had the Farmer. The house made waffle was great, too. It was served with a peach jam, which wasn’t too sweet.
I felt like there were exactly the right amount of options on the menu, too. I would definitely eat here again.
