It was a great experience! The restaurant was very nice inside and the music was fantastic. The food was very good as well but for the price, we weren’t too sure it was worth it. The waitress and staff were very quick and kind as well as knowledgeable of the menu. Still, it was a great experience and a fun place to go for Valentines Day.

Lobster was tough, angry Branzino was excellent, as was the bread and asparagus. Server was super sweet but took a long time to take order and to check on us. Wish they had more potato options minus truffles.

Everything at Oceanaire was excellent, with the exception that they brought the wrong entree out for my wife (same fish, different preparation). She ate it, is was wonderful, but the server realized the mistake while clearing, and comped us dessert.

The service was slow. The food was just ok. For the price, I expected a lot more out of the food. I would not return.

First time visit to Oceanaire prior to a show at the Performing Arts Center. We could. It have been more thrilled with the experience. Service was impeccable...prompt without being intrusive. Our server asked for our show time and paced the entire dinner accordingly. Easy valet parking for dinner and the show; our car was waiting curbside when we walked out of the show....no waiting. We drove away as throngs of people were waiting for rides and trying to exit the parking garage.
Cocktails were amazing. Tasteful without being overpowering.
The food was fantastic. Not the typical seafood. Chef Jodie prepared a will fish with mushroom risotto and a braised oxtail sauce that was unique and surprisingly delicious. Perfectly prepared fish.
A perfect dinner from start to finish.
Dessert was so tempting but we worried we didn’t have time our server and the kitchen delivered to most delicious cobbler and ice cream— to die for—in mere minutes.
Without rushing we experienced a fantastic dinner and walked into the show right on time.
The price was surprisingly reasonable, I was actually amazed.
We highly recommend this establishment for dinner. We will return for the next show!!!

Fun night before the theater. We enjoy Oceanaire but always seem to be there in winter in conjunction with a performance at the Denver Performing Arts complex. Dining room was chilly and it was bitter outside. Excellent service, good recommendations on oysters. Gluten-free bread was an unexpected choice and delicious. I had the Wolf Fish on risotto. It was flavorful, but had too much of the pan juices that made the risotto runny and "wet". Too bad. Overall a B+

I had the Cod and it was very basic. Very little flavor. My wife loved the steak and shrimp. You did an amazing job with her birthday! She felt very special. The customized menu was a great touch and the Baked Alaskan was amazing!

We were seated in a corner that felt very distant from the rest of the restaurant. There were no decorations or any character... it left us feeling like it wasn’t a special dinner... another group refused to sit near us... I regret not asking to be moved. Our waiter confused two orders but they were quickly fixed. Food was great but will definitely ask for better seating if e return.

I’ve experienced much better service at previous visits to The Oceanaire. Sadly, we were met with very slow service and charged for items we did not order (or consume). Caution to theater goers in a rush to leave, pay attention to the bill :(

Very disappointed in this restaurant. The food was mediocre for a very high price, and the service was really not good (think 20 minutes just to get a glass of wine). The escargots were tough and gritty, and the entrees were only fair, but expensive. The salads were the best part.

Dining at the Oceanaire was a fabulous experience. The service was exceptional from reservations to the waiters. We had the Wolf fish with Oxtail Risotto - the fish was so succulent and flavorful and the risotto was fabulous. We were also given a sample of peanut butter whiskey which delighted us no end. Care was taken with our wine selection. The waiter was so knowledgable and friendly. We plan to return very soon.

We had the calamari for an appetizer. It was over salted and over breaded.
Our entrees came over 30 minutes later after eating the appetizer. The waiter did not check on us nor did he bring the second glass of wine my husband ordered. The entrees came and the waiter checked on us when delivered. We both had the fish special; Icelandic wolf fish with oxtail risotto. We discovered there was not any oxtail in the dish but our waiter was no where to be found. When he did come and we told him of the problem, he got the manager involved. We were almost through with our entrees by then so they could not bring a fresh dish. The manager apologized several times and took off the cost of 2 glasses of wine.
The last time we came to this restaurant we had a similar experience so we thought we'd give it another try however next time, we will look elsewhere for dinner in LoDo.

Food was good. I went another couple. We attempted to split the bill. Both a us provided credit cards.
We did not realize it at the time but both halves of the bill charged to my friends card. Voice mail left at my home stated that I needed to go back downtown to pay the bill.
2nd time this year we have gone to upscale restaurant and have credit cards charged in error. Good food not clear why so much problem with paying the bill. Oceanaire offered nothing for our inconvenience!

We felt the pricing was too high for the experience/service received. Understand, we did love our waitress, the folks who greeted us at the door and the ambiance is great! And the food was delicious.

But there are better values in town for the price. We spent $200 which we felt was a lot for the experience.

The Mercantile and Bistro Vendome are our "go to" places and we feel the value overall with them is much better.

The char wasn’t lightly flavored; I ate it, but didn’t realize it was so significant a char flavor. I had to remove some of it.... I should have asked before hand so no cause of the server. Everyone’s food was prepared as stated; read the menu and ask questions. We had many and I just forgot to ask about mine. We will come back again. The angry branzino was a huge portion so we had it for leftovers!!

Very very good food. We had one issue with an entree that was too spicy and they courteously deducted it from our bill. The apps were outstanding particularly the grilled oysters Rockefeller. Our booth seating was really nice. All servers, especially our waiter was extremely friendly, informative, and professional.
We’re looking forward to a return visit!

So I was visiting from Miami. My girls and I planned to hit up a seafood restaurant that night. We actually made plans for a place called Jacks however our Uber driver recommended that we try Oceanair instead. Walking in, the ambiance was beautiful and I immediately felt like home. It gave me a Miami vibe and I did not expect that from Denver. More over, the food was so delicious. I had the branzino fish and it was the best I had, fresher than some place I’ve dined in Miami. Definitely a must!!!
