Came here for a celebration dinner and went the full nine yards with oysters, caviar, cocktails, dinner. The oysters and caviar were great, but that’s not really the restaurant’s doing.
Service was fine, but I didn’t appreciate the server bringing and charging us for a second bottle of sparkling water without asking and getting confirmation from the table if we wanted it.
Drinks took quite a while to get to the table despite the restaurant operating at a pretty easy-going pace. The food was fine, but nothing to write home about. I found the beef tartare somewhat bland, and the steak bavette was nothing to write home about. The beet salad was the highlight of the entire experience for all four of us.The meal was spendy but not sufficiently satisfying for the price point and left me wishing we’d taken that $500+ budget elsewhere. Might come back for oysters, but that’s about it.
On a frivolous note, the menus are also full of typos!
Delicious food. Great service. A beautiful ambience. Wonderful for a special occasion or just a fine dining experience. Make a reservation as it is a popular choice in Denver.
We loved the appetizers, the steak was very good, the beef bourguignon was not good at all (and we love beef bourguignon) and the trout was not very good. Loved the bread and the toast served with the delicious terrine. The desserts were very good, and we loved the remodel and what has been done with the space. The waiter kind of had a superior attitude verging on rudeness. All that being said, we will probably come back and try it again because it definitely has potential.
Excellent food and drinks. Service was good with an attentive and knowledgeable waiter.
Épatant! Magnifique! Tout était comme it faut.
In other words, GREAT!!
Awesome food and service. It was a little noisy, but very tolerable. The wine list is terrific. We will definitely return.
This is the 3rd time we have been there, the atmosphere is fabulous. LOVE the foie gras on rice waffle appetizer, melts in your mouth. Last time we had the big Tomahawk steak for 4 people with a few sides, it was delicious.
Service was very personal and outstanding. Food was inventive and delicious. Looking forward to going back!
The food was poor and way overrated. The oysters were of marginal quality and the main course gnocchi was just"OK" and bland.
Service was brash and not helpful.
Amazing! Accommodating and perfect in every way. Javi and Scott are the best!
Everything was wonderful, from the food to the service. The gnocchi was phenomenal and the restaurant itself was beautiful! Would highly recommend. Super fun wine list.
Food was terrible. Beef bourguignon was terrible . I have had better Dinty Moore stew out of a can.
Excellent as always .... couldn’t ask for more
We booked with Opentable, and were seated immediately upon arrival despite being early. Not crowded, not noisy, and visually interesting- a perfect date night location. We had 3 variations of east coast oysters which shocked me for a Denver. The quality of oyster and the precision with which it is prepared gives Jaxx serious competition and gives fresh a whole new meaning. We also had the fois grois, and the tomahawk steak for three (but split between two).... a couple of really juicy penicillin drinks. We were too full for dessert, but regret not taking any hole with us... We had a great experience and plan to go back!
The pork chop was tough. The service was OK. This was my second time there. Not sure I’ll go back.
Had friends in town and brought them here for a unique experience. We had oysters to start, then the tuna tartare and foie gras which was gorgeous! Then the duck, beef bourguigonge, and whole branzini. All very good but if I'd been told the fish came with potatoes and greens we wouldn't have ordered so many sides. The Chestnut financier for dessert was awesome, must try! Professional service. We also had really good direction from the sommelier.
The service was incredible. The food was delicious. I would absolutely go back.
The wait person was unattentive and it was very expensive
Amazing food, gorgeous atmosphere, and excellent service!
Food is quite good. Wine list is extensive, well-chosen, but outrageously priced compared to other Denver restaurants. Service was attentive but borderline incompetent as every ordered item came at the wrong time (e.g., entrees were brought out before appetizers were even close to finished).
The pre-dinner cocktails were very nice. So nice that we decided to stay with them instead of ordering wine, especially that we didn’t see any wines we recognized. The branzini for two was good for one (which our server warned us about) but was extraordinary well prepared. I had the duck which was good but not spectacular. Overall, a very pleasant dinner in a nice Lodo location.
Staff made every effort to ensure an amazing experience including some complementary wine for a little bit of a wait for our table. We are two vegetarians and had delicious and filling options. The wine list is also exceptional. Menu prices fairly reflect the quality of this restaurant.
We were seated upstairs but it was certainly a boisterous crowd.
Incredible. The food was awesome. Service was first class.
The food was great but very expensive. The high top table we sat at was uncomfortable. Our server and the entire staff were very friendly. Overall a nice restaurant with good food, just more expensive than I prefer.
Prices are high, and while it was good, it wasn’t great. We were really excited to check it out, and the service was excellent.
A great culinary experience but distasteful and very loud obnoxious rap music. You need to be able to talk at your table.
My food was terrible. The pork chop was inedible. There was a hair in our gratin potatoes and the meal was ridiculously overpriced. Do NOT waste your time or money!
Now one of my favorite restaurants in Denver . Would recommend for anyone looking for a good place to dine for a special occasion or an excellent and impressive meal.
Every single thing we got on the menu was fantastic. Can’t wait to come back
I would recommend this restaurant and I will come back again to it. Everything was excellent except for one person who made the experience a little less amazing... she was my waitress and when asked about the dessert at the end she made a snarky response to my honest feedback... I always said positive things about the place, the app, the main meals.. we had two desserts one was amazing the other was not so much and I said chocolate woth peanut butter and calling it petit fours is a stretch to its French message but I enjoyed everything - the waitress argued instead of seeing it as a constructive comment. So why be rude? In general everyone else was super amazing and the food perfect!
Amazing experience!! Already booked reservations to come back again!
Great spot for our anniversary dinner!
Everyone in our party loved the food. Starting with great appetizers & oysters. The fresh bread was amazing as well. We all shared the pork chop, Tomahawk ribeye & braised short rib with an array of tasty side dishes. Yum. Morin is my favorite restaurant any place anywhere. Put it on your most go list.
Food, wine, ambiance, service- all wonderful. They have an offering on skin contact/orange wine, and the sommelier was so helpful in selecting the best bottle for us. Food had classic French roots, but was fresh and modern. The steak tartar and foie gras were light and delicious and the blistered carrots were to die for. Service was spot on- attentive, but not too much and very open and vocal with suggestions. Was a great meal!
great food, service and interior design and lighting!
It was a bit drafty and table was lined up on a seam in the bench seating that was not ideal, but this is being picky.
Lived up too is promise to deliver "dope" French cooking. The menu is relatively short and full of classic plates but then worked with a contemporary or local twist. Our mains included duck, short ribs, and chicken and everyone was happy. Portions were generous enough for some to come back with us. Cocktails rework old standards to a good effect. The Negroni and Cosmo gave our palates the anticipated pleasure but got there through a new set of ingredients. Service was attentive and not rushed, a little noisy at the peak but being in a booth helped.
Excellent food and service. Nice selection of wine by the glass. Definitely will be back.
I ordered the duck and it was cooked perfectly! The staff is knowledgeable and wine pairing spot on.
Little disappointed they didn’t have their chef choice tasting menu the month of January- I highly recommend this if it’s available
We arrived for our 7:15 reservation and were told our table was being prepared. We proceeded to stand near the host stand for 1/2 hour and when we finally asked about our table, we were taking to a table near the front that had been empty since we got there. And no apology. The food has potential, but half of it (a beautiful piece of fish) was served lukewarm/cold so wasn’t very good. Especially for the money. Would not go back. Very overrated.
