A unique find in downtown! Great cocktails and varied menu in a very nice environment off the beaten path.
I felt rushed by the waitress and there was no need for it as the place was not full .
It was kind of dead which was surprising for a Friday night .
The food was good and I wish you luck in the future
Our waitperson ruined our meal. The food was fine but as we all know the wait person can make or break your meal. We asked her for suggestions and her reply was that she didn’t eat meat. Asked her suggestions about dessert and her reply was I don’t eat sweets. We received a lot of blank stares. And when we asked for 2 bags for leftovers she just rolled her eyes. It was my daughters birthday which I put on our reservation and not one mention of it. I called the manager the next morning and told her what had happened. I got an apology but as I was telling her about the meal she was talking to someone else. I’ve been to all of Kevin Taylor’s restaurant before and this one is never going to make it, especially with this staff
Had dinner for 5280/Restaurant week. The food was good, the location is a bit weird, it’s inside a large office building so probably doesn’t get as much action because of the location. The server was nice and I don’t have any complaints but she didn’t interact a whole lot. She took our orders and brought the food & check. I had the salmon which was good, but not amazing.
Great Restaurant Week value. Everything we ordered was delicious and ample portions.
My girlfriend and I visited Mila for Denver Restaurant Week, and we were very impressed! There wasn't a huge number of reviews online, but the ones we found were all pretty good, and we definitely had the same experience. We shared one DRW order, which included burrata toast, petit filet, and honey goat cheesecake. We also shared some butternut squash bisque and one of their made-from-scratch pizzas. Everything was really delicious, and the DRW order was a great deal! The restaurant was quite empty when we got there (around 8:15pm) which really didn't make any sense once we realized how good everything was. Hopefully it was just an off night!
As is typical with a Kevin Taylor restaurant, it was delicious and looked beautiful. We all enjoyed our meal and will return!
We visited Mila for the first time during Denver Restaurant Week and we were very impressed. The spacious restaurant is attractively furnished, and there are some sound absorbing materials that make it quite possible to dine with friends and engage in conversation at the same time, even on a Saturday night. The salmon entree was perfectly prepared; the salads were ample. The seasoning shows an experienced hand in the kitchen. Prices are reasonable. The wine list had a relatively long list of selections at good price points. We look forward to dining here again.
I know that Mila is new and will soon be the place to be. I'm grateful we found it before everyone else and was perfect before our show.
Beautiful restaurant interior and friendly staff. Food was good although Swordfish was a bit dry.
We went here for Valentine’s Day. They had nothing special on the menu and no attention made to the day at all. The food was mediocre at best. We ordered an app, some pasta for primi and then the salmon and lamb shank for secondi. They literally brought everything all out at once and put 4 enormous plates in front of us. Eventually the waitress came and took the secondi back and re-made it so it was hot when we were ready for it but they clearly don’t know how to do Italian food. The ambiance was strange and very quiet - almost creepy. Definitely not worth $197 for two. Definitely would not go back!
Galentine’s with my sister!
This was our first visit to Mila. It wasn't too busy for a pre-ballet dinner. Food was great: kale salad then basil pesto gnudi. Service was a touch sluggish (2nd glass of wine never made it before we had to hit the road) but food arrived promptly and was hot. We'll give it another try.
The calamari was very chewy and fishy. My Salmon was excellent but it sat on a bed of green olive mixture that was too strong and did not blend well with tge Salmon, pesto and sun dried tomatoes. My partner had the Bolognese which was very tasty but the noodles were too large and very heavy. Unlikely we'll return.
Average at best. I expected more from a Kevin Taylor restaurant. The service was very good but the food was pretty lackluster
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful meal on a recent Friday night. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming as we arrived and through out the evening took care of our needs with near perfect service and attention to detail. Without hovering over us, both our server, Nick, and the general manager, Katia, offered suggestions and anticipated our needs leaving us deeply satisfied and full of wonderful food.
The menu shows real intelligence and imagination and has something for nearly every palate. Our plates came to our table beautifully presented with flavor to match. There's an easy going vibe to the place. Artwork of great giant vegetables framed on the wall were beautiful and lent a bit of whimsy and color to a really beautifully set up dining room and bar. (I'd love to purchase (smaller) prints of the vegetable art if the restaurant made them available.)
Despite being a bit off the beaten path, Mila is worth the walk if you're downtown (two blocks from 16th street mall) and we had no trouble parking nearby. As I said, the staff was easygoing and highly capable and we will certainly be back to make our way through the menu!
The food was wonderful and unique. I had the burrata, warm beet salad, and the short rib pasta and they were all delicious. Our server, Katie was great! We will definitely be back!
Amazing meal from start to finish. The food exceeded expectations and left us craving more for days. We all intend to return soon. Highly recommend!
We ate here twice during our stay in Denver. Once with a larger party of 8 and the second time my husband and sister. The food was outstanding both times and the waiters were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu choices. Its right across the street from the Ritz-Carlton and very budget friendly. Lots of choices. Great new spot!
Everything was delicious:) beautiful decor and a welcoming environment!
Lots of variety on the menu too
It was an excellent dinner. Wait staff were professional, there when you needed them and not there when you didn't. The restaurant has a large open feel and was quiet.
Good kale salad; short rib was delicious, interesting bar drinks, good for children and drop in dining, oh, and lamb sausage pizza was very good
Very enjoyable experience with great choice of options for lunch.
Good but needs to be. better
Husband wanted steak and I wanted Bolognese :) We found this place and decided to try it and glad we did! It's a super new place (couple months old) and wasn't busy at all but the food was delicious! I ordered a Pinot Grigio and the Bolognese. It was perfectly cooked and super tasty plus the homemade pasta was extra yummy. It's nice you can get the small or large portion. Hubby had a cider and seared tuna. He liked it but wasn't the most enthused. They also had a very reasonable well rounded price fixe fall menu that I wished we ordered from instead! The staff was SUPER friendly and attentive.
Great food and exceptionally attentive service! I hope to return!
Great meal, the chef was very accommodating to allergies, and we had wonderful service once it got rolling. A great addition to downtown dining.
My friend's vegtables were cold but otherwise the food good.
The Host was very nice but it is an expensive restaurant and he looked so casual in the scruffy check shirt.
The Noise level was very high with people shouting at each other at the same table cause it was so noisy and they could not hear!
This was the first time that my wife and I ate at Mila but we had dinner several years ago in the same
restaurant. The general manager and wait staff were very good. We started with the burrata toast and
it was very good and different with the avocado. Next we had hearts of romaine salad which was nice
but the dressing was nothing to write about. For our main courses I had the Gnudi pasta which was different and tasty. My wife had the salmon which was prepared well but nothing to write about.
For wine I noticed that the price per glass was a little higher than some of the restaurants in the area so as usual I decided to purchase a bottle. I am use to the price per bottle being 3 to 4 times the retail which I understand why but, the wine selections seem to be 4.5 to 5 times retail price. So I purchased the least expense "table wine" which was $41. After a 20% tip our final bill was $144. Too much for the for this type of place. The value for the meal was not there. This might be why on a Friday night there where so many open tables at 7:00 pm.
The service was exceptional. Great! food and good ambiance. Really enjoyed trying out this new place.
Took clients for lunch - it was a huge hit. Really fun menu. I had the soft-egg ravioli and I cannot recommend it strongly enough - it was simply divine. This is a great addition to downtown Denver dining. I look forward to going back for dinner.
I had them add blackened salmon to my romaine salad and it was probably the best salmon I have ever had. Delicious!!
First time here and well worth the drive downtown. Delicious dinner and beautiful atmosphere!
Great food. Popular for lunch, but since we were there for dinner was not at all busy. Restaurant was a bit hard to find since address is on 18th street, but actually located at 19th and Curtis.
I’ve been waiting for Mika and Zocalito to open in Denver Place. This part of downtown is short on good causal business lunch restaurants. So glad to have alternatives to parhetic Elways. I tried the Gulf Shrimp Escabiche and it was delicious. I also had the short rib pastrami sandwich. It was hearty and tasty. My colleague had the roasted chicken and reported that it was also very good. I’ll be visiting again.
Ryan was awesome!
The service at lunch was great! We were a group of 12 and they had us out of there in a little over an hour with separate checks. It sounds like most people were happy with what they ordered, but it’s too expensive to be on the regular lunch rotation.
Excellent and fresh, creative menu. Fab desserts
What a great restaurant! Food was absolutely delicious and prepared with a creative interesting flavor profile! Definitely a must try new eatery worth checking out! Wait staff was delightful and helpful in explaining the meal options. Will definitely be going back. My business companions were impressed. Thank you Mila team!
