   Outstanding in almost every way. From the wait staff to the dessert everything was first class. Our waiter was Marcus and he was very knowledgeable and professional. He aided in our food selections without being pushy or overbearing. Family had steak and duck and all were cooked to perfection. Appetizers were plentiful and very tasty, so don't fill up on the bread. Wait staff never let a glass get empty or failed to remove a plate that became empty. Service was impeccable. While not inexpensive, the food was definitely worth what we paid. We will definitely go back.

   This was my first time visiting here for a birthday event. I was told by a colleague that the steaks here were outstanding! When I arrived it was quiet noisy. The restaurant’s choice in music didn’t match the scenery. Also, they had a disco party in the other room. My waitress had to elevate her voice constantly just so we could hear her. I tried the magic lemonade and that was really good! The sea bass that I ordered was rather small and the taste was okay. My partner order the churrascaso steak paired with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The steak was also rather small but it was juicy. It could use more flavor. I thought for a birthday event, my partner would have gotten a dessert but she didn’t receive anything. If you’re looking to try a new steak restaurant there are others that deliver a better experience than this one.

   We booked a Brunch patio table to celebrate a family member’s retirement. We were seated quickly and had a great time, however, the music played over the speakers was so loud we could not hear our waitress telling us about the menu. PLEASE turn the music down!!!!

   If your looking for an energetic evening out, this is the place. The cocktails are excellent, the food is just okay for the price. Once seated, the wait staff were good so this comment is not directed to the wait team. The hostess and management are terrible. I had a reservation for 8 pm and was early but had to wait. Okay, wouldn't have been a problem except people coming in after me were seated expeditiously, which was a problem for me. One of the hostesses noticed we were waiting and without any prompting from me, she said she noticed we were waiting for a while and would ask the lead hostess for a status. As I watched this interaction the lead hostess blew the inquiry off and had us continue to wait. I let 15 minutes pass before I engaged the hostess and manager. The manager, a male, was extremely rude and was just disrespectful to me, a customer. I won't be back to this restaurant. There are much better steakhouses in the Tampa area both in price, quality and respect for customers. I'll be taking my money elsewhere.

    Hostess and server were incredibly rude and apathetic. We put them out by even being there. I don’t think I’ve slept with their significant others but, it seemed like they thought I had. Cocktail waitress was delightful only highlight of the meal tbh

    As a meat aficionado, I tried Meat Market Tampa last Friday night. The location in Hyde Park Village is hopping, and the concentration of beautiful people is remarkable. In addition, the hostesses and servers are very professional and efficient. Our reservation was for 8:00 PM, and we were seated immediately upon arrival, even though the restaurant was packed. Meat Market Tampa’s décor is clean, modern, and elegant, while the ambiance music is LOUD. We began our evening tasting several dishes, starting with the Chef’s Daily Selection of mixed oysters, which were fresh and tasty. Appetizers included: Roasted Escargot: Delicious. Prime Roasted Bone Marrow: Exceptional. Crab and Lobster Cake: Delish. After serving the appetizers, we were introduced to the Choclo, aka Spiced Peruvian Corn – stunningly good and highly addictive. Of course, the selection of an entrée had to be a steak, but that is when things go sour. I asked our server, Nicole, for The Meat Market Steak cooked rare. Nicole was kind to point out that steak – a Prime Picanha – was sous vide and only available as medium-rare. As a Brazilian-American, Picanha has been a staple since I was young many decades ago. Anyone saying that Picanha must be medium-rare and sous vide – is blasphemy. I was appalled by the explanation and changed my steak to a Prime New York – rare. When the New York Strip arrived, my deception was only exacerbated. First, it was cooked not but adequately seared – and tasteless. There may be twelve different sauces for steaks on the menu, but anyone who knows beef does NOT add seasonings to quality beef. Finally, it was apparent that the steak never got close to Meat Market’s wood-burning grill. Meat Market is a beautiful restaurant with top-notch professionals and delicious food. However, the place's name does a disservice to meat aficionados, for it fails to deliver meat as any great meat-focused restaurant should.

    It was our first time eating there and it did not disappoint! I had the special which was a steak trio and it was flavored perfect and delicious. Had a side of corn also and it was great. Dessert was a sampler platter and all I can say is WOW! Service was excellent too! Can’t wait to go back!

    My duck was incredibly dry ,the salmon lacked flavor .and the sweet potato waffles tasted like refrigerated waffles .the beef empanadas were reheated in same grease ,the atmosphere is amazing the food does not equate to the ambiance

    Went for Mother’s Day. Had reservations at 3pm. Did not know they were closing the kitchen at 4pm for Dinner to begin at 5pm. Our waitress was pretty much rushing us to put in our order and when we wanted to order an additional drink around 4pm she mentioned that they were closed, but there were other tables being seated at and after 4 pm and ordering drinks and food. And their waitress had no problem with them ordering drinks and food. We felt rushed and limited service. I’ve been to Meat Market plenty of times and never had this experience. So it must be this particular waitress. Maybe she was tired since it was Mother’s Day and they were busy. But that’s her job to provide good service.

    The food was very good and very well presented. Our waiter Scott was very professional and knowledgeable. The Japanese wagyu was fantastic and my brother and I said it was probably the best steak ever. Better than Miami or Chicago steakhouses. I’ll definitely be back at some point.
