La Boca has the feel of a lively European wine bar, featuring an extensive selection of carefully chosen Spanish wines and Sherries. Chef Caruso's Modern Spanish Cuisine is inspired by the exuberance of Spanish cooking combined with fresh, local ingredients. La Boca has been called "the most influential restaurant in Santa Fe" by the Pasatiempo Magazine and the New York Times describes the menu as "modern re-inventions of classic Spanish cuisine" Knowledgeable and animated staff graciously guide guests to the perfect wine to complement their meals. La Boca also prides itself on being an ambassador of Spanish sherry culture, transporting its guests to Jerez in the crisp cool flavors of Fino, or the deep fig-essence of a Pedro Ximenez.

I love La Boca. But please speak to your city council person about a noise ordinance being enforced near the Plaza in the evening hours. You’re a tourist city. To have your outdoor dining experience ruined by low rider and souped up trucks blasting music and revving engines for an hour following a car show stinks.
Incredible food. Tapas make the meal feel like a journey.
Our second dinner at La Boca was just as mouth watering & sabroso as the first. Everything ordered was deliciously well prepared. The service was attentive and the price acceptable for the quality of food. Highly recommend!
That is not spanish food. The Patatas Bravas were more like french fries and the Vegetarian Paella was too spicy, they put to much paprika. I wanted to try the Blood Sangría but they didn’t have it. The Polvorones were good.
The service and food was fantastic! Highly recommend!
Food was super yummy coming out at your requested pace. Staff was professional and friendly.
Our server Julie provided excellent recommendations and was both knowledgeable and personable.
The tapas ribs - Costillas are a must!
Gateau Basque with a sherry flight was a perfect ending.
Outstanding flavor in every bite. Seated on the front sidewalk patio, later learned there is a back patio. Food was incredible, atmosphere on the front sidewalk not so much.
Delicious manzanilla and paella. Got to visit with renown flamenco guitarist Carlos Lomas while enjoying tapas. Great experience
My husband and I were on a trip to Santa Fe, and a friend had recommended that we eat at La Boca. What a great suggestion! The food, service, and ambiance were amazing. We were able to try a variety of foods as many of the plates are tapas, or small plates. We ordered mussels in salsa verde, a small sourdough baguette with extra virgin olive oil, flat iron steak with two unique sauces—a smoked sea salt caramel sauce and a Cabrales butter, and halibut in a fabulous coconut and fish broth sauce. Then we decided to go crazy and share a mouth watering dessert—Gateau Basque, a vanilla bean cream tart with house brandied cherries and crepe fraiche. The food was excellent! Our waitress and all the wait staff were gracious and friendly. I recommend this restaurant to all.
If you use open table you cannot specify back outdoor patio table. As a result we were on the street patio with car exhaust, motorcycle noise, and no shade from the sun. They had umbrellas but they didn’t suffice To shade us from the sun.
Always great food and ambiance. This was our second visit in a week.
Finest dinner out I have been to in years and I love to eat out!
Always a good meal, service and wine list. One of our favorites.
Food and service were very good. Limited entree selection, too warm inside and music was too loud for dinner conversation.
Delicious food, great service. Very busy. We felt lucky to get a table at a high top.
Outstanding experience overall; excellent service and fantastic culinary choices.
I love this restaurant and know everyone is getting back on track but offering only 1 salad then running out made Ordering a bit challenging
We sat outside—curbside. Some street noise, but mostly felt like dining on a patio. We shared several tapas. All were extraordinarily good and plated beautifully I’m not mentioning which ones, because I’m guessing they would all be as good as what we tried. The deserts were great as well. Service was excellent.
Food was delicious, as was the sangria. Don't overlook the port for dessert!
Food was fabulous; service was less so. While we were waiting for our table in the reception area, a waiter walked by from outside and dropped a knife that hit me in 2 places as it fell. He gave me a frustrated face as if I was to fault and never apologized. I think he expected me to pick it up. Then the waiter at our table forgot 3 times that we ordered more bread — we finally gave up.
Lovely service. Lovely Spanish food.
I have eaten here once before and gotten take-out once, as well. Both times we were impressed. Howver, that was last summer when places were not busy or crowded. We were both disappointed last night.
The reservation was not honored, even though empty tables could be seen. There were three couples waiting for tables past reservation times. So, we were seated late, then it took awhile for a waiter to come by. During the evening he never asked if I wanted a second drink once mine was gone. I think he had too many tables.
The food was so so. I would not have minded eating on the street (their creative way to make Covid-safe tables), but multiple cars, with lounder than necssary mufflers, came by repeatedly, making it annoying to be so close to them. Had the food been outstanding, we might not have minded that situation as much. However, there was nothing redeeming about our dinner, so that was an extra nuisance (not the restaurant's fault, obviously). Just be warned ahead of time, of the noise if eating on their street patio.
Had a great dining experience at La Boca. Would definitely visit again!
Ambience and noise due to outside dining near street - COVID related
I’m sure inside dining is fine
Every bite delicious. Service thoughtful and anticipatory. We had the perfect evening leisurely eating our way through tapas and dessert, accompanied by a wonderful blood orange sangria.
Some of the best food in all of Santa Fe.
The food was exceptional. Lot of new flavors we have never experienced before but absolutely delicious. Would come back in a heart beat.
My husband and I go to La Boca for fun and inventive meal, as well as a "can't go wrong" wine selection. For a night out or celebration, we have always enjoyed every meal here.
We had paella 👍
Eating outside is a bit noisy, but the food is top notch!
Great evening. We appreciated the hostess efforts in arranging for us to change our designated table to another location we preferred. Waitstaff were efficient and very polite. The pintxos of ham and manchego was a generous serving. My husband enjoyed his vegetable paella and the Fideua was also very good. The only minor negatives was that my Fideua only had 2 small thin pieces of the chorizo Iberica and the rice used to make the paella did not appear to have the consistency of La Bomba Spanish rice.
Excellent. Tapas are good. Drinks slightly pricey, need more choices in typical Spanish fare like more sherries and
Perhaps some Jerez brandies. Handled pandemic related issues quite well. The taberna in the back is cozier and would have gotten 5 stars out of me. Food is very good. The mixto plata is nicely done. Was not able to try lamb.
The food was just ok, nothing special & we had their specialty: Paella. We ordered 2 items & 1 of the items didn’t come until after we had finished eating our main dish. We were not very impressed with the ambience, the food or the service.
Excellent for about the twentieth time; it does not disappoint.
Our server, Mario, was amazing. We couldn’t decide on which tapas to order, so we asked him if he could just curate our dinner experience and surprise us with each course. He excitedly agreed. It was SO fun, and I highly recommend giving it a try!
The service was excellent. Food delicious and good size tapas portions. The squid ink pasta was a bit over-cooked, but we loved the paella and shrimp. The blood sausage was a surprising hit with everyone at the table.
They were down to one bathroom the night we visited, and that was less than optimal.
We’ll be back for sure!
For many years La Boca has been a date nite special every time we visit Santa Fe. Thank goodness the restaurant has managed to negotiate the challenges of COVID. The food, the wine, the service and now ample outside dining at the Taberna make the dining experience the best.
The food and service were excellent. We ate outside which was fun but occasionally a loud car would drive by. If this would bother you make a reservation for inside.
Julie our server offered expert advice on wines and food an timed delivery of our many different dishes such that we always had a delicious plate or two on our table. Very good food and a nice time
