If you’re looking for an incredible dining experience look no further than this! All aspects were great and we are looking forward to coming back when we visit Denver again.
Thank you so much Gearry! We all look forward to seeing you again soon! Michael GM
Always outstanding with SO much food! Customer service is great, and the location is vibrant.
Thank you so much for the great feedback! Michael GM
Food was excellent. Our wait staff person was great, and made some good suggestions off the menu. The noise level was very high, but it was a Friday night, before a Rockies Game. I will return, but not on a Friday night or before a Rockies game. Green Chili Nachos, were to die for!!!
Thanks for the feedback Patricia!
Loud table next to us. The chilequiles was disappointing (cold) and not much chicken. We would still go back for the Navajo tacos though
Thanks for the feedback! I do hope that you said something to your server or my manager so we could have done something about the chilequiles. Glad that you would be back though. Michael GM
It was very noisy inside the restaurant, so we chose the patio. And, it was great! Our server was very knowledgeable about the food and specials and made some great recommendations. We came because of the Facebook post about the fireworks, and it was the best choice ever.
I'm glad you had a good time! Looking forward to seeing you again. Michael GM
Your food is delicious. Our waitress was terrible though. We wanted to discuss with you, but had to get to a game. We come to your restaurant often, before ball games, and usually have excellent service. She was impolite and everything took forever. Thanks for listening.
Super busy but overall positive experience. We will definitely be back...
Thanks for the 4 stars!
Food was horrible And so was the service. It was greasy and it’s pretty hard to mess up Mexican but hey succeeded
Sorry to hear about this Amanda. I do apologize for the lackluster experience but I do hope you said something to one of my managers while you were here. I do hope that you will give us another chance, Michael GM
Server was distracted most of the time and food was just mediocre. Tacos were extremely watery, not consistent and poorly constructed. Margaritas were good.
Thanks for the Feedback Jeff. I apologize for the mediocre experience. Michael GM
Very mediocre food and service. The food lacked flavor and the service was really poor especially at a time when the restaurant was not very busy.
Despite attire being listed as business casual, this was a very casual restaurant where wait staff wore jeans and tee shirts, so don’t bother much with what you are wearing. Only sour note was when some ridiculous young women decided to photograph her dessert plate outside where the light was better, on a cold evening, holding the door open right beside our table. My husband let her know she had to shut the door, and instead of apologizing like a decent human being, she kept giving him dirty looks. This was no reflection on the restaurant, just a particular diner, although having that door locked on a night when no one would be dining outside might have averted the situation.
Hello! I'm sorry that our uniforms were not what you were expecting. Yes we are a casual restaurant near Coors Field but I like to think we give better service and hospitality than that. I do hope that you had a good time. I see you gave us 4 stars. Yes we do not have control over our guests but do apologize that the door was open We cannot lock the doors from the inside to be compliant with fire code regulations I do hope that you will return Michael GM.
Service is superb! Tacos are delish!
Thank you Michael! See you soon! Michael GM
We sat out on the patio and had a lovely lunch. The fish taco and the carnitas taco were delicious! Also, this is the first place I've found in Denver to have melty, yummy queso like they have in the Southeast.
Thanks for the great review Meagan I am so happy that you had a great time at Kachina! Michael GM
Kachina was awesome. Great location in the Dairy Block. Hip, eclectic decor - there’s cool murals and even a little airstream trailer in the restaurant. I felt like it was more southwest style than Tex-Mex but good nonetheless. I liked that you could do a trio with any of the salsas or guac (the guac is really small so I definitely recommend doing more than one.) The tacos were delicious - that carnitas taco! Good drink options as well. My only recommendation is for Kachina to add churros as a desert option (because who doesn’t love cinnamon deliciousness?) I will definitely be back again for more tacos!
Hi Sara! Thanks for the great feedback! We do have some delicious beignets; hopefully you tried them. Hope to see you again! Michael GM
Delicious food, margaritas and very close to Coors Field!! My favorite is the vegetable chile relleno (not burrito!!). The GM Michael came by to make sure everything was OK. Very fun atmosphere.
Hi Liz! Thanks for the update and I'm glad you enjoyed the relleno and had fun celebrating Father's Day! See you soon! Michael GM
My mother and father-in-law both ordered two single tacos. They were not impressed with the portion size.
Hi Scott! Sorry that they were not impressed with the portion size. We use typical tortilla sizes and one taco is never enough. The taco plate is a great deal for $15 that comes with rice and beans. Hopefully you'll return! Michael GM
Our waiter took food and wine away when it was still half full. The meal was so so nothing I’d crave or order again and the price was not worth it. Big disappointment.
Hello! Sorry about that! I do hope that you said something to your server or one of my managers we would have gladly re-made your order. I apologize we did not exceed your expectations! Michael GM
We really like Kachina Cantina but the food/drinks are inconsistent. Last Friday night we were there and everything was delicious! Then we went again on Tuesday night and everything was just average. The vegetarian burrito was amazing on Friday night. On Tuesday it was half the size and I don't think there was any squash in it. The margaritas were delicious on Friday but too tart on Tuesday. We'll be back for sure but we're hoping it's consistently great from now on!
The menu has a lot of potential. The execution was poor, the open kitchen was disorganized management seemed to wander around in a fog, the waiter forgot our appetizers, never checked in, never offered another round of drinks and was generally disinterested.
Hi Torran, Thanks for the feedback! I am sorry that we did not exceed your expectations and for the lackluster service. We will use your feedback to better ourselves. Michael GM
Food was pretty good - would recommend the carne asada taco on fry bread. The fry bread is amazing! BBQ chicken taco was not great, pretty greasy and sour. Would like to go back and try some different options. The margaritas are standard. The vibe is fun. Would overall recommend!
Thanks for the feedback!
We were the reservation party of six fromhelp! The staff kept extending our reservation until our cycling group arrived. (The riders were coming from Fort Collins). Po
Hi Sherrie. I'm glad you had a good time! Michael GM
We ate at Kachina Cantina twice in one day. First meal tacos. Waiter brought both meals with flour tortillas. We had ordered one with corn the other with flour. The meals were cold and the waiter wasn't around much.
Had a hamburger and chicken tortilla soup for dinner. Both were excellent. Waitress brought our food and check. Since we weren't eating big - she left us alone.
I apologize for the lackluster experience! I do hope that you will return next time you are in town. Michael GM
Food was good, service was good, nothing remarkable, but would visit again.
Sorry we did impress you but glad you will return! Michael GM
The food was delicious. Thankfully the hostess was accommodating and moved us away from the door where the cold Colorado Spring- Winter wind was coming in. We were left without get our order taken for twenty minutes or so, but the food was so delicious we will definitely be back. Thanks!
Hi Vern, Sorry about the delay in taking your order but thankful that you enjoyed your experience nonetheless and will be back. Michael GM
We made reservations for my birthday and we stayed at the Maven. The food was excellent and the drinks were divine. I definitely recommend the carnita tacos with the fluffy Indian shell and either the jalepeno margarita or basil cucumber margarita to go with it!
Thanks for the great review and celebrating your birthday with us! See you soon! Michael GM
We had amazing dinner. The food and drinks we excellent and our server Alexandra was very attentive and knowledgeable.
Thank you for the great review and highlighting Alexandra! Michael GM
Stopped in for lunch. Very attentive service, and cool atmosphere, but everyone in our party agreed the food was just average.
Sorry we did not wow you! I do hope that you will give us another chance! Michael GM
We were offered a complimentary dessert as it was a member of our parties birthday. Our server noticed without us even having to announce it. Such a fun treat! Plus the food here never disappoints.
Thanks for the feedback and glad we were able to surprise and delight you and your guests. See you soon, Michael GM
Great location, great vibe, so-so food. My Poloma was sickly sweet—so sweet I had to add half a glass of water to drink it. Tacos mediocre. My husband ordered a chile cheeseburger and although cooked to medium as requested, was really dry. My brother ordered a steak which was tasty but very chewy. My sister in law got a taco plate(3)and only ate one taco. The others were not worth the calories. Would not go back.
Thank you for your feedback ! I am sorry that we did not exceed your expectations but will use this feedback to better ourselves. I do hope that you will give us another chance. Michael GM
Food was great, service was terrible. Little pricey for tacos it great flavors here and a great space/location
The place had great decor, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The server wasn't as attentive as she (the server) should have been, but other things happen and sometimes forgotten, i.e., Refill; especially when the fountain drinks are $5. The food was just not that great. I had the quinoa salad with carne asada. The mixture was good and tasted great, but the meat was so dry, and no flavor so the without the protein it wasn't as appealing. My partner ordered a burger and enjoyed it. I took a bite, and it was good. The patty didn't have much flavor and was ordered as mid-rare, and when received it, it was well done. We of course aways tip the minimum of 20% even if it was a crappy time. This place was a great place to try and glad we went -trying to make our way through Denver's restaurants-. i can't say we won't go back though; it's hard to find a good Michelada and they did a pretty great job!
We have had good experiences in the past, so I think we just caught them on a bad night. Our server appeared to be serving the whole restaurant. Our drinks took too long to arrive. We put in our food order and explained that we were on our way to the Rockies game. We waited and waited. Our server finally returned and informed us that she forgot to put in our order and asked if we remembered what we ordered or if we needed to see a menu again. We quickly ordered a taco platter to share as we hoped it would come out quickly. The food is excellent, but on this visit, the service was lacking. We will still be back and hope that we have more consistent service on our next visit.
Thank you for the feedback! I do apologize for the server missteps. It does get busy as you know on Rockies games. We will do better! Michael GM
The place is very nice. The ambiance is great! However, the portion sizes are very small. The food tasted average and nothing Oh so great!
Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate it Michael GM
Taco trio plate was very disappointing. I had the Carne Assada, Carnitas and Shrimp. If one orders those three items a la carte (same cost, arguably less) one has a choice of tortillas, but not possible with a plate of the same tacos???? The tacos came to the table soggy because all of the juices had leaked off the tacos into the entire plate. The shrimp as the best (not saying much) and it was over 50% pineapple. Carne was next best (still not saying much) and the meat was over cooked. Carnitas was just plain bad. My meeting partner had a salad with chicken added which looked better, but rather small.
Hello! Thank you for your feedback! I am sorry to read that you were disappointed with your taco plate. You can get the tacos ala carte or 3 with rice and beans for $15. I do hope that you spoke to your server or one of my managers as we would have tried to rectify this situation while you were here. I do apologize and do hope that you will give us another chance. Michael GM
Our server did not come back to the table after we received our food for a long time. I had to ask another server for our bill. Usually pretty good service here but tonight it was off. Still great food.
The food was over-seasoned and not great. Guac was super garlicky, but good. The queso fundido was a little gritty, like the cheese was. My tacos were okay, but nothing phenomenal. Prickly pear margarita was fine. The plantains were awesome!! Flautas were good.
I loved the place and the atmosphere. Good service. The food was lackluster and random combos from Texas, Mexico, etc. Odd!
All around a solid "meh". Gave some things as pass as it was St. Patty's day but our server did not seem very busy with her tables and was generally pretty put out by our presence. When the runner brought out our food and placed it on the table, she reached across my plate to put down my friend's meal and the strings of her VERY dirty friendship bracelet went right across my taco. So gross. She did not seem concerned by it so seemed pointless to send it back, just scraped off the top layer. Overall, very sloppy presentation and service from staff in general. The green chile burger was underwhelming, the guacamole portion size was disappointing and the chips were no better than most store bought options. The one food highlight was the green taco, which I really enjoyed. I will stop in for a drink in the future and maybe a quick bite but definitely not for a whole meal - there are too many places nearby where the staff really wants to provide a great experience!
The drinks, queso, and tacos were fabulous! Skirt steak and scallops were ok but the sides were flavorless. Not work $25-28 per entree.
Wish their was a "depends" for the recommendation question. The foods is really so-so, but the ambiance and drinks are so strong that you can get over it if you're looking to eat with your eyes.
What a great evening! I arrived to my table with a personalized greeting note for me and my guests which just set the mood for our dinner. I highly recommend going for their restaurant menu - great options to choose from and 100% worth the bang for your buck!!
