   We enjoyed sitting outside and sharing our dishes: would recommend, though, that the coleslaw in the soft shell crab sandwich be put on the side for people to add at will. Having it in the sandwich made for a big eating mess and diluted the flavor of the crab.

   We went to Jax for a celebration dinner following my daughter’s graduation. The food was amazing, highly recommend the seafood chowder and crawfish gumbo, delicious! The best part of the experience was the service, though - Alexis was just wonderful. It was a perfect experience. 10/10!

   Showed up early to our late night reservation and ww were able to be seated right away at the bar. Food was amazing as usual. Our server was great and service was fast. Wish we could eat here every night.

   As a visitor to Denver, riding the free 16th st. Mall Bus, we were looking for possible restaurants. Jax looked good and I reserved a spot while we were at the Denver Arts Museum. The waitress was friendly and had excellent suggestions. Food was lovely - had not had Oysters in a while. Prices reasonable. Nooise a bit strong because of lots of people having watched the Detroit baseball game.

   Very nice menu with plenty to choose from. The food servers and the rest of the staff were very kind and attentive (though not bothersome, as is sometimes the case). Our meal was outstanding. A little pricey, but people have to be paid. Perfect spot for a nice dinner and drinks before a ball game.

   Great service and high quality dining. Haven’t been there since pre-Covid. They seem to have really stepped it up. Best experience to date. Our server Ross was exceptional at every level.

    Everything we had was amazing! From the drag oysters, to the perfect dirty martini, to the sushi grade salmon. Our waiter was exceptional. Next time we are near a Jax, we will certainly be back!

    It was good experience trying out different types of oysters. The three of the oysters were so tiny that my boyfriend mentioned they shouldn’t have served. We did enjoy salmon and scallops as well. Those both delicious. The dessert we got was butterscotch pudding which we thought it was a cake but it was a cookie and cream which we thought it was overpriced. Overall great place for a date night.

    The food was delicious and we had a waiter (Ross) who was so helpful and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant. We lucked out and got a parking place in front of the restaurant. Parking could be an issue.

    We always enjoy the oysters and seafood at Jax. I had scallops which were nicely browned and served with a type of slaw. The lobster roll was good- give it 3 stars. The mussel appetizer in Thai coconut broth was very good. Service very helpful.

    Compared to Jax in Boulder, Jax in LoDo doesn’t nearly match up. First our waiter was very annoying, repeatedly interrupting our conversation with his long winded “fun facts”. Second the calamari was greasy, not crispy, the crab was scrawny. The yellowfin tuna was excellent the second time it was delivered properly cooked to our desired seared rareness. Thankfully the manager unraveled the mistakes on the final bill. We came with high expectations based on reliable service and excellent cuisine at the Boulder location. Unfortunately we left disappointed.

    Great experience, once again! Top-quality ingredients, great service. Rather noisy, difficult to converse, HOWEVER that is part of the vibe of this place, why people enjoy it. Lots of people having high-energy fun.

    JAX has always been on my list for restaurants to dine at while in Denver. The fresh shell fish and other seafood choices are always great and well prepared. The seafood chowder is exceptional. Great service.

    I have eaten at other Jax's and enjoyed it, but this was truly awful! Service was just terrible, and the music was blaring!!! We asked that it be turned down but nothing they just said "sometime it can be loud". They moved us to the patio but then seemed to forget we were there. My husband's appetizer and dinner came out at the same time which was well before my appetizer was served. My husband was completely done eating before my entree arrived. They cleared his plates and brought the check minutes after my dinner hit the table. My husband never received the drink he ordered even though he asked for it twice. The server made a big fuss about our choices of bottled water and when we opted for tap, she assured us "don't worry, it's filter so it should be fine" like we were asking for tap water in a 3rd world country. If the tap is that bad (it was fine) then offer bottled free of charge. The food was just okay, really nothing special especially considering the price.

    Absolutely excellent service from Amanda and Natalie. Oysters shelled perfectly with liquor intact. Crab cake with lots of crab and not a lot of filler. Po Boy plus plus. Mussels were luscious. One of our favorites of any in the Front Range.

    Loved the scallops & brussels entree. Calamari was good as well. Catfish entree has a delicious sauce. Bacon cornbread was too sweet for me. Hoped it would be the savory southern style. They have a limited wines by the glass menu which is disappointing. Otherwise , our experience was enjoyable. Food was delicious and served quickly. Servers were friendly and courteous and we were seated right away for our reservation time in a booth as requested. They’re mostly known for oysters here and have many ways to choose them. Lively bar scene as well. We were in and out in about an hour which was perfect for us ti go see Trevor Noah at 8pm. There’s no valet parking fyi so give yourself an extra 10 min for parking.

    Stepped in on a Thursday Evening. Made a reservation via OpenTable. Vibe was great. Chris brought me some water. Took me through the history of Jax. Big oyster fan so started off with that. Calamari was fantastic and so were the scallops. Service was fantastic, food was delicious. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in downtown Denver. Thanks for a fantastic meal guys. Full course had oysters, calamari, scallops with white wine, and a key lime tart with coffee.
