Much to our dismay a reservation for an advertised buffet with carving stations /extensive salad bar /appetizers/sides/ desserts became an omelette bar with breakfast sides -which though good , was not what we expected ! apparently the advertised Xmas Buffet was from two years ago and we barely made the cut for the breakfast buffet ! our reservation was for 11 AM and the breakfast Buffet stopped serving at 11 AM. We were seated since we showed our confirmed reservation! Staff was confused n it took a bit to sort it all out. Never have had trouble with open table reservation before but this was a mess!!!

OpenTable needs to look into their contract with this restaurant. I arrived, with the members of my party, early for our 10 am brunch reservation. I was informed, rudely by a restaurant hostess, that Jack's doesn't "do reservations for breakfast." I pointed to my name on her list and she said "it doesn't matter." Because it was Christmas Day, we couldn't go anywhere else, so we waited for over an hour for our table. Streams of hotel guests were seated ahead of us (Jack's is in the Pink Shell resort in Ft Myers Beach). The hostess continued to be quite rude and the manager dismissive. We finally were seated, we discover it's a buffet breakfast with a waitress only serving drinks to order. Utterly disappointing.

Very overpriced for what we offered at the Buffett. They added twenty percent for a tip and we were never offered a second glass of iced tea or water and no one came to take used plates off the table to make room for second servings. We brought our dirty water Kate’s over and set them on the bar. It wasn’t just our server. It was an issue with a couple of other tables as well

It was overpriced compared the quality of the food. The turkey was under cooked and the pasta sauces were too oily and not fresh. There weren't many options and the taxes and tips were very high. Additionally, we got very sick afterwards but i could see why! The place wasn't clean enough . I wouldn't go back.

The thanksgiving dinner was terrible. The potatoes were over mashed and had a dough consistency. The desserts were meh, I thought there would be actual pie slices. For the price I was expecting more than just some balloons for decor. I think they could have done better.

This was my first time to Jack's. We wanted some place nice with a view of the ocean... it was perfect. They had a buffett for Thanksgiving and all I can say is WOW! The food was amazing and the deserts were crazy good!

Great food went for Christmas day and was not looking forward to another buffet meal but the food here was fresh and very well made delicious staff could not have been better Nicole from Boston did an outstanding job.

First time at Jacks, and we were not disappointed. Service was excellent and the Cioppino was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. I can imagine during the high season it would be difficult to get a table, but during the summer reservations are a lot easier. Wine selection was descent.

the decor was fine. the view of the beach was amazing. we sat right against the window. service was good and attentive. all our dishes were good. the ceasar was very good, the potato soup was as well. red snapper was local and good. unfortunately, the shrimp and grits were bland. overall good experience

Food was amazing, very fresh ingredients. True to Farm to Fork. Service was excellent and recommendations were great. The ambience in the restaurant was lacking however. The views of the ocean are from window seating only and no outdoor seating which is disappointing given the restaurant is on the ocean. We made a reservation and were placed in the back of restaurant because we were party of 5 and only seating for 2 or 4 at windows looking out at the ocean. Also they place a screen to hide half the restaurant since it is also used for breakfast for hotel. It makes the restaurant seem small. Worth it for the food especially if you are into farm to table, just don’t expect great decor or ambience.

Great experience! My husband and I went on a double date with my sister and her husband. It was a Wednesday night and not very busy at all. We wanted to sit inside by the window but those seats were already taken. Not a big deal, we got one close to the window and still have a great view. If a window seat is important to you then I would suggest mentioning that when you make a reservation. I don’t eat (or cook) seafood so I have really picked this restaurant for everyone else to enjoy. However, I was pleasantly surprised at their non-seafood options. Everything came out hot and plated very elegantly. Coming from Kansas City I am usually pretty skeptical of the quality of pork and beef in Florida but I was ecstatic at the thick cut pork chop I ordered. Not only was it one of the thickest pork chops I have ever had but it was cooked to perfection. The only thing I think could be improved on (at least in my opinion) was the attentiveness of the waitress. Waters being refilled or asking if another cocktail or glass of wine was wanted. But that is pretty minor on the scale of how wonderful our evening was. At the end the waitress was kind enough to take a group picture of us and even was very helpful in making sure we got the perfect lighting so we could capture the moment. Thank you Jack’s Farm to Fork, after coming to Fort Myers for the better part of 25 years this was our first visit to this restaurant but we will definitely be back!

Excellent food and great ocean view. It was a bit of a drive for us, but we liked the sound of Farm to Fork- we were glad we did. Everything we had was prepared perfectly and creatively.

I am not sure why there are a few comments suggesting that the portion size at this restaurant are average to small. From what I have experienced, the portion sizes are almost too large. And the food is fantastic!

Although we were not staying at the Pink Shell, we ate at Jack's for Mothers' Day dinner. We were seated promptly, and service was perfect. Although none of us ordered the specials, we were pleasantly surprised to find that they cost no more than the regular menu items. We shared calamari and pork belly for appetizers; both were very good. The scallops with risotto were exceptional, perfectly cooked and delicious. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked, medium rare as requested. The seafood medley was almost a boulliabaisse; shrimp, clams, and two fish. The sauce was so good my father got extra bread to eat it. The other member of the party had the cobia, and thoroughly enjoyed it and the sides. We all shared key lime tartlets, flourless chocolate cake, and an apple dessert. They were all fantastic. We thought the prices were very good for the quality of food and the service. One of our party of four thought the ambiance was a bit lacking, but the other three thought it was fine.

Both my wife and I had the steak "special" the evening we were there. Steak was very tasty but was also somewhat chewy for supposedly, a Niman Ranch meat product. Susan did an excellent job service-wise even though she had multiple tables. The one thing that really turned us off about this restaurant was the fact that another couple that was dinning that evening brought a small dog with them to the restaurant and it remained under the table close to where we sat. The dog had nothing identifying it as a service dog and when we asked Susan about it, she said the policy of the restaurant prohibited them from even asking. This despite the fact that she almost tripped over the dog when providing beverage service to that particular table. A total turn-off and would not return.

Great fork (farm) to table place. Server was friendly and charming. Maitre’d accommodated our request for a different place to be seated. Kitchen prepared a great birthday surprise for my wife.

Restaurant is situated inside the Pink Shell hotel and the dining area looks to serve as the breakfast room by day - so not ideal - dining on patio is the best view! Skip the inside. We started at the bar - Scott (TX) was a fabulous bar master - he poured great martinis and manhattans. We had the Calamari app and it was fabulous. At our table for dinner on the patio we started with the bread - a homemade quality that was delicious. My husband had the pea soup and I had the wedge salad. Very nice. Then we got our entrees - Tile fish and Cobia. Fish portion was generous. Only complaint is the sides - mine came with broccolini and scalloped potatoes. The Broc was over seasoned with garlic (not described on menu) and the potatoes underdone. Suggest to restaurant to allow mix and match fish and sides. I would have chosen different sides and had a better experience.

Tried Jack's for the first time. The marketing is a bit misleading. We thought we were booked at a restaurant on the beach. Turns out it is on the second floor of a kind of tired hotel. The restaurant itself is dark and musty. The only outdoor seating is a few tables on a balcony with an overview of the gulf. It does have a sunset view, but just not what we were expecting. Food was good, but ambiance was disappointing.

We love it at Jacks! We have spent the last 2 thanksgiving and last 2 Christmases and this was our first Easter buffet. We think the view is wonderful. The staff is wonderful. The food is wonderful. And the whole experience is just delicious fun!!!! It is clean. And right from the start of valet parking to immediate seating due to reservations. We always feel "special" We love the farm to fork for so many reasons. We love to support the local farmer. And we never have that "sick feeling" after eating at jacks that you get from other restaurants. The food again is delicious. We also feel $55.00 is not a bad price for the whole experience.

Loved jacks! Ate outside at sunset. Beautiful view, great service, great view. Hidden gem! Inside has odd decor, but highly recommend outside. One of few places on the island with decent wine.

Our dinner at Jacks Farm to Table was absolutely delicious . Cocktails were very good as well . There were 3 gluten free diners and 1 regular - menu was very easily marked and the choices were abundant . We ate appetizers, main courses and dessert - all were amazing . The ambiance was extremely disappointing - seemed to be some kind of over flow area that was a multipurpose room - certainly NOT at all impressive or indicative of the upscale food . I would highly recommend but hope that the hotel chooses to make Jacks more of a focal point rather then the after thought I‎t appears to be .

The view from the outside tables is outstanding, no crowded, can see the beach water and if timing is good you can view the sunset. The food and service was great, so relaxing and enjoyable.

Great meal, server was attentive, beautiful sunset. Due to heavy traffic we were late and host was very accommodating. Shrimp scampi was tasty, steak special perfectly prepared. We’ll go back.
