Hearth & Dram
I was in Denver for one night and looking for a nice American bistro style restaurant. I found Hearth and Dram and decided to try it. This restaurant was terrific. Great food, best Hanger steak I have ever had. Service was great, and Jamie our server was exceptional!
Great food and accommodations. Only disappointment was the “chocolate mousse” dessert. Don’t know what that was ...strange combo that wasn’t very good. Need a few more dessert selections
Delicious food and drinks! The server who helped us was incredibly helpful and kind. Highly recommend trying the burger
We had ordered an appetizer that never came, and although they gave us a free desert to make up for it, it did put a damper on the meal. Over all the steak was pretty good and the smashed potatoes were VERY good.
OK but really not what we hoped for. I thought it was pricey for what we ordered. Significantly nicer places for this price within 5 blocks.
Great bourbon selection, excellent cocktails, and great steak. My husband and i split 4 different things: buffalo mozzarella, chacuterie board, broccolini and the flat iron. The steak and chacuterie board were amazing!!!
Great food, atmosphere and service.
Our drinks were great, and the food tasted good. However, we were so disappointed in the portion size for the amount charged. The caesar salad had TWO romaine leaves, and the 9-10oz steak was possibly 6oz or less pre-cut into 5 skinny slices. We left extremely hungry & had to order pizza delivery to the hotel.
Loved loved loved loved loved!!!! the smoked tofu! I wouldn't have thought of enjoying it, but it's what drew me on. Definitely a must return!
We were here in a very snowy night in Denver, which may account for the service being a bit off. Generally, did not find the quality of food sufficient to justify the prices. Again, may have been.an off night.
The server disappeared for quite some time while everyone at the table had empty drinks for brunch
Great service and one of the best steaks I’ve had in Denver
Aly was wonderful and we really appreciated her menu recommendations! We will be back.
I took my wife for her birthday dinner. Everything was terrific.
Consistently fantastic. The flavors and ambiance can’t be beat.
Great Staff. The bacon /maple cinnamon roll was fantastic came in a skillet. great portions for what you pay for. The cocktails were amazing
Food was good but overpriced for the quantity.
Service was pleasant but took 2 tries to get a simple order correct. Reservation process was the best part of this experience.
Great food, nice drink list, plenty of whiskey. Hanger steak was awesome and cooked expertly.
Food great. Server was nice but not quite as attentive as I am used to in an upscale restaurant. Little things like dropping the check on the table without asking if there was anything else.
With only 1 hostess, waited a podium for 3 minutes before being seated.
Good food. Server was nice enough but clearly did not want to be there. Nice place.
Food was great, service was lacking. Took over 15 minutes for our waiter to arrive after we got seated. At the end of the meal I ordered an Irish coffee that took 20 minutes to arrive and could be described as watery coffee flavored whiskey. Overall it was a 3 star dining experience.
The service was slow and we waited at least 15 minutes before ordering drinks and then another 15 minutes for them to arrive. That's annoying to say the least. The food was outstanding and I would highly recommend the mussels.
Meh. Expected more. Took an out of town friend to dinner. Had minus chain steakhouse feel to it. Food was decent. We had steaks which were good but a overpriced. Fried smashed potatoes were way too salty, almost unedible. Wine list was WAY overpriced. $30 bottle of Châteauneuf du Paper was $115! $20 Bedrock Zin was $80!! That is robbery. 2x should be the norm. Did find a $55 Faust Cabernet which was decent for $97. Beware if you go here and do your homework on the wine prices.
The entrees were spectacular. We went for Christmas Eve Dinner and had the prefixe menu. Chicken and steak - so yum. We had all three desserts and they were all unbelievably salty. They all had the potential to be superb but they were SO salty (and I like a salty/sweet combo) that they were inedible/the salt and the sugar had to have gotten mixed up. The only way to explain it! Server was great and had a good experience but check that salt bowl 😳
I mistake snob and normally would never order any less or cut then a filet mignon or a New York strip, but we tried both the hanger steak on the flat iron steak and they were absolutely delicious! Perfectly cooked, good seasoning without being overwhelming. Only reason I gave four stars instead of five stars is that the vegetables could’ve been a little bit better. The carrots were great, but would’ve liked a few more. Not Portugal impressed with the tater tot’s. I would rather of had a baked potato than two cubes of compressed hashbrowns. And would like to of had a little more in my wine glass for the price. But we really loved the place, spacious without being loud, cool modern interior, and great service. I definitely recommend.
Nice looking inside, but that's where it ends. Maybe go for a cocktail, but not the place for a dinner. Server had zero response when I told him our app of mozzarella and romesco sauce was straight from the refrigerator cold. You do not serve mozzarella balls ice cold, this is not news -- come on! Overcooked chicken breast was crazy -- not sure how a chef could let that plate out of the kitchen. Clearly it had just been sitting and holding, as there was no sign it had been cooked in the last 2 hours when it got to our table. Too bad this place spent so much on the interior, but food is not acceptable. We live downtown and can never go there again. Expensive $220 experiment for 2 people and a total of 3 drinks between us.
It was a great night, from the mussels to the mains couldn’t have asked for a better date night.
This was our first visit to this restaurant and we had a lovely time! The filet was absolutely perfect!
The service was great and the food was even better. everyone at the table ordered something different and nobody was disappointed
My family of four adults were headed in different directions for Thanksgiving so we decided to have breakfast together. With limited options open on Thanksgiving we picked H&D. Honestly mainly because it was the only place with ONE non meat, non sweet veggie option. I realize that because I’m not a big egg eater I am self limiting my breakfast options but that’s who I am. ‘Sally’
The scallops were overseasoned. The pork chop well done, but nothing special. Service was excellent.
Surprised that this place wasn’t busy for brunch. Great music and food. We had the three pigs
Excellent food. Amazing service. Plenty of whiskeys. What more could you ask for?
One of my favorite burgers in Denver.
Bar noise and music a bit too loud for the adjacent dining room. Service was very slow, particularly since the ding room was only half full.
The drinks and appetizers were AMAZING, which got us very excited for the entrees. But when they arrived, we were less than impressed. The idea of the food was great, but the execution was meh. Will definitely be returning to sit at the bar for a drink or two, but not for dinner. It was also extremely loud. The five of us sat at a round table and could hardly hear each other speaking.
Server Clark is a great personality!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!
Great food, fun place, it was super loud so hard to hear each other but we still enjoyed ourselves. Service was very slow (it wasn’t busy). Waited a long time for drinks and getting help from the server, and he messed up a few things, but overall we would go back!
The food and staff are awesome! The ambience is amazing for a downtown restaurant!
