Went and checked out the "street" seating their doing during this pandemic and we had a great experience. But expect a bit of a wait for service, drinks and food....this is all new for the staff and it'll take them a bit of time to get up to speed. be cool and have a little patience....the skirt steak I had was top notch and worth the wait!

The city of Orange did a wonderful job closing the circle down to traffic and moving the table outside. While some kinks need to be work out, we enjoyed our dining experience. Staff was energetic and excited to get back to work, service was excellent and food was wonderful. We enjoyed people watching and will return.

I know everyone is under stress these days, but this place has been on a downwards trend even before the current COVID-19 crisis.

The main issues are menu and service. The menu used to be robust and varied. It is increasingly shrinking with items listed that they are frequently out of. I get that they want to change the menu offering often to keep things fresh, but there seems to be no staples that you can rely on getting. Also, I've been here at least twice on the same day they posted on Instagram about some dish, only to be told when I get there that they have been out for days.

Service is also sometimes substandard. This last visit, we were 2 of approx. 8 diners in the entire place. There was about a 1:1 ratio of observable staff to patrons. Still, we were sat and then promptly ignored for at least 15 minutes. When our drink order finally was taken, that took another 15 minutes. It's just a frustrating experience overall.

As always, a phenomenal visit to Haven. Was seated at an outside table down the walkway/alley between Haven and the Antiques store due to social distancing. But that is to be expected during these times... Only issue was that they are not carrying their old full menu 7 days a week... it apparently is changing from day to day. So on my visit, no deviled eggs... But still completely worth the trip!

The newly reopened Haven was great! The vibe is a little different since the bar wasn't being seated and with the tables spread out it felt a little more empty than before. Service was great as usual. Food was amazing! Really like the new home made pasta section of the menu. Their twist on pesto was delicious!

A wonderful local gem! Service is always friendly and efficient, and their beer and cocktail menu is one of the best. Don’t miss out on their deviled eggs or chicken liver toast for appetizers, and their burger is always excellent. The Haven is an Old Towne Orange institution and shouldn’t be missed if you are anywhere near Orange!

I was very happy with our dinner at Haven. They had a great selection of beers, and a nice small plates menu. We ordered the macaroni and cheese, which was among the best that I have ever eaten. The prices are at the high end, but I will definitely be back.

The food and service were fantastic. Highly recommend the chilaquiles on the brunch menu. The only issue is something that is not in their control. We had outdoor seating and the people in line for another restaurant were noisy and there were smokers who just didn't care that they were close to people eating. So, next time, we will be sitting indoors!

Second time here and just as great as we remembered from the first time. We sat outside on the patio with our dog. Patrons and staff were all lovely. Food is top notch. Drink selection is also wonderful (cocktails, beer, and wine by the glass).

You won’t go wrong with Haven.

An amazing meal at Haven. I highly recommend dining here. Food was so tasty and the portions were large enough to share. We had a party of four. The wait staff is excellent, attentive, and patient. We ordered the skillet cornbread, wagyu carpaccio, and squash soup for appetizers. For entrees we had the kale Cesar salad, crispy pork belly, uni pasta dish, and the prime rib cap. We ended the evening with the chocolate budino and the panda cota. Everything was so delicious! Haven is a great restaurant!

Prefix menu for Valentine’s Day! Good portions and everything was very tasty. It’s more of a bar atmosphere and the noise was heavy. Would go back for a more casual dinner again.

Big surprise!
We found Haven on Open Table while on the road, and without any great expectations.
The greeting was sincere, the service was fun and informative, the beer selection is stellar, cocktails inventive and there is a chef who really knows what he's doing!
Totally recommended.

Waitress changed ever 30 minutes. When you wanted to order something you wouldn’t k ow who your waitress was. Instead waitress would walk by and eventually a bidder had to be flagged down. Sad, I enjoyed and gave good reviews for haven and their other local restaurant. Will be changing those now.

This place is better for groups of 4 or more or get there by 5:00pm if you’re looking for a more ambient table for 2 by the window, patio (if not too cold out), or fireplace. We sat behind the hostess stand otherwise we were going to be seated right in the middle of other tables with guests which would’ve been too close for comfort and like we were joining their table. Seating behind hostess is not recommended as it’s a busy place where a lot of people gather (servers, customers, management) not to mention there’s seating for customers waiting for a table directly behind that table.
Seating issues aside, it’s a busy place and for good reason.
The food is diverse, fresh, different than you imagine based on descriptions but in the best way possible. The servers are friendly, efficient, & knowledgeable.
We’ve been there twice now. The first time with another couple and we tried multiple tasting plates and every single one of them we would order again. We are all still talking about our food experience. This visit was just the two of us and we decided to go for the special salmon tartare appetizer in coconut milk curry, the farm fresh multi colored beet salad, and the special entree fresh truffle pasta with duck egg yolk. Everything was superb! I don’t know if I’d agree that the pasta dish was worth $45 even though shaved black truffles are super expensive to begin with, it’s still just pasta which is inexpensive. We also ordered the chocolate budino for dessert which they seem to run out of frequently. We tried to order it when we were there the 1st visit and they were sold out of it before 6:00 pm (granted there was a very large party there and it was in December) our server informed us they ran out of it the night before which was a Thursday. So if this dessert is something you want best to put your order in right away. It’s a dense fudge like flourless cake topped with salted caramel gelato and a drizzle on the plate of vanilla olive oil. We’ll be back!

I’ve been wanting to try Haven Craft for the longest time and persuaded my husband to go. The butternut squash soup was delicious as well as the corn bread appetizer, however the menu prices are slightly high. Also, the menu is not that extensive and not many items for dairy free and gluten free patrons. I would recommend for the atmosphere and location at the Orange Circle.

NYE this year was a bit different... we have been coming to Haven on NYE with our group for the past 5+ years. This year they opted to seat us at a communal table with other diners with no prior warning (which was not received well by some of our guests - not conducive to conversation OR space), and they also had a pre-fixe menu that, when we first sat down, were told they everyone in our party had to order it, or no-one could have it... um, ok? I'm not sure that fared very well for them, since halfway through our visit, the server told us that policy had been lifted.
Per usual, the food and service were outstanding, so it won't deter me from going as we usually do, but our party will go elsewhere for NYE next year...

Our reservation was for 7pm, we were sat promptly. We walked out by 7:50 having been served a four course dinner. Yeah not a great dinning experience! I have not felt this rushed to dine and get the hell out in my life. My breakfast this morning at Denny’s was better paced and for that matter better food!

The noise level prevented conversation with my wife and even the server. Noise from other diners but from the bass from random house music playing. Truly irritating.

The food was adequately marginal. Far from fine food, but more on the level of a claim jumper. One notable exception was the savory beignets and the compound butter served with the cornbread.

To say that it was a disappointing dining experience is an understatement. It was a lousy evening. But I really should have researched the joint better. But just as I was thinking I’m overly harsh with higher than average expectations I find solace in an overheard comment from a couple leaving after us “the only good part of that dinner was the wine.” I’ll leave it at that.

We went to Haven after church on Christmas Eve. Our table was ready right when we arrived. Everything was good: service, food, & atmosphere. It can get a little noisy in there sometimes but it was fine that night. Standout foods were the half chicken (very moist & flavorful!) and the cornbread appetizer!

Wow -- found a new favorite dish!! I ordered the Beet Salad (with quinoa, avocado, feta cheese, hazelnuts, mint. . .) and it was sooooooo good. Hubby ordered the salmon, even though he does not like mushrooms, and he thought the sauce was fabulous. Said he would order it again, and maybe substitute something for the mushrooms. Our server was polite and professional, and I was a bit concerned when she went on break right after we ordered, but her cohort watched over us very well. All good. The place is delightful, menu is foodie-centric, service is attentive, and prices are reasonable. What else could you want? Two thumbs up!!
