Gracias Madre - West Hollywood
The idea of Gracias Madre was first conceived while visiting the families of our employees in Mexico. We wanted to do both; offer organic Mexican food to the communities we serve as well as honor the mothers who work tirelessly in the kitchens of Mexico and often live without their husbands and children while they work side by side with us in California. Inspired by some of the recipes of these families and the love of their mothers, Gracias Madre serves organic, farm fresh, locally sourced food, full of flavor and love paired along side with our agave-based cocktail program spearheaded by Beverage Director Maxwell Reis.

Food and drinks were great and I love the atmosphere there.
Good food. A little pricey. Would definitely go again
The food here is always delicious and the overall vibe is great. If you are looking for a great vegan place this is it!
They could give a little more alcohol in the drinks for the prices! Food was good service was ok.
Manager was very accommodating and even waited for our party that was a few minutes late. Food was amazing, and everything came out super fast. Will definitely return.
The food is great, service was good, but everything felt quite rushed. Our appetizers arrived to the table literally seconds after we ordered. It just felt very operation
We felt rushed. Food came out too quickly, bill brought to us before we asked (and we had been there less than an hour), it was clear they just wanted to turn our table to seat someone else. For this price I don’t expect to be rushed and pressured to leave less than an hour after I arrived.
I absolutely love Gracias Madre. The outside patio is so charming. The food is fabulous. The staff is great. This is my favorite restaurant.
Really bummed to see not only that the menu has changed, but the quality of the food has declined so dramatically. The staff was exceptionally kind and service was very good, but it's hard to give a good review when the food is so mediocre. Hope it bounces back. What a shame.
Service, food, ambience all wonderful. Just a little bit pricey, though.
Delicious vegan Mexican food!! Beautiful place and fun crowd. Expensive for what it is but I guess that’s LA for you:)
The entire experience was beautiful! Reunited with best friends and it was just perfect! Gracias Madre!
I love the patio area. I go often. Food isn’t great. Overpriced but I pay for the ambiance. Service is good.
Chips aren’t super fresh tasting. Especially the dark corn ones.
Also, they need a few healthier options, less carbs.
Love eating at Gracias Madre! It always fresh, exciting and healthy Mexican food that doesn't weigh you down after the meal. The cocktails are creative and delicious!
Favorite place to take friends and family who are visiting LA!
Nice location, beautiful setting, will be going again.
The place is pleasant, try to avoid the sidewalk sitting as some tables have no shade; otherwise the indoor and their patio are nice. The food is decent, but there are better tasting, more flavorful vegan places out there. Service is so so but it could have been the Sunday brunch rush.
Gracias Madre was a great choice place to go as we begin to emerge from the pandemic! The food was delicious, the staff was great! I love coming here and look forward to coming back!
I went here for my birthday dinner and it was probably the best birthday dinner that I’ve ever had
Great atmosphere and service . The food delicioso! Order the crab cakes!
Good stuff! The only thing I wish was there was other cocktails other than taqueria and Mezcal
My husband and I and a non-vegan friend had a wonderful dinner on Saturday night. There was a lot of commenting on the delicious Coliflor appetizer, and we all enjoyed the Nachos. The Arugula Salad was fresh and delicious. The Wet Burrito was our favorite entrée. Yum! None of us had ever tried mole sauce before. The Crispy Mushroom Mole was an interesting chocolate spice flavor.
Strawberry Shortcake is my favorite dessert and I try it anywhere that serves it. From NY to LA, this is in my top two, if not the best one I've had. Loved it! And the presentation is pretty too with the flower on the plate.
We also had the ice cream which was out of this world. We had a scoop of vanilla and two scoops of the chocolate hazelnut. Both flavors were good. I had chocolate hazelnut, which was absolutely divine - the perfect not too sweet, dark-chocolate, rich chocolaty flavor. Yummy!
The Arroz con Leche disappeared to the last bite too.
Our non-vegan friend didn't try everything at the table, but she definitely enjoyed the Coliflor, Nachos, Arugula Salad, Wet Burrito, Arroz con Leche, and she absolutely raved about the ice cream when we left. She said that all ice cream should taste like that. She was amazed at how smooth it was. And we all agreed, the ice cream was divine.
The service was excellent. Our reserved table was available on arrival. Atmosphere is hip and fun. Food is delicious. The General Manager, Charlie, was walking around making sure everyone was happy. It was nice to see such personalized service and care for guests.
TL;dr: Great dinner. Non-vegan approved dishes included Coliflor appetizer, Nachos, Arugula Salad, Wet Burrito, Arroz con Leche, and she said the ice cream was the best she's ever had! I would add that the Strawberry Shortcake is fabulous (I ate every bite)! Fun, hip atmosphere with caring staff and management.
Amazing patio, incredible vegan Mexican food, and the best drinks. Highly recommended for a fabulous LA dining experience.
We were very excited to eat here but the experience was not what we expected. We had the chips and guacamole, which included a human hair. We didn’t say anything as that can happen sometimes. However, when I was half way into eating my main dish I found another hair. Gross! This time, we did let our server know, who took the plate. At that time, we also pointed out to her the hair on the guac. Our surprise was major when we got the check and they had charged us for everything, even the plates we sent out. We had to talk to the server so that they would take those charges out if the bill, which they did. They apologized but the whole experience seemed unprofessional and too casual. It almost made us feel like we were being too picky or difficult. It’s a pity because the food is genuinely good and the atmosphere is great. I just expected better service.
The food here is vegan and absolutely outstanding. My friends whom haven't tried this place wera all pleasantly surprised:)
Expensive, small portions for the price, not exceptional tasting, but beautiful looking food. Also, their brunch menu had very few options.
One of my favorite spots in LA. Always try to come here for special occasions. I've never been disappointed. The food is incredibly special.
Our Waitress was AMAZING!
Please please play Spanish Music!
40’s or 50’s romantic music would be great. My two cents. 😂🙏🏼
Incredible food, service and atmosphere. Went to great lengths to make the environment Covid safe. Well done!! Best vegan Mexican food in LA by far
