Our mission is to celebrate and serve the presence of the mother which resides above us, within our hearts, within the earth, and in all those who nurture us. We serve cuisine inspired by the kitchens of Mexico sourced from locally grown organic ingredients. Welcome to a seat at love’s table.

The idea of Gracias Madre was first conceived while visiting the families of our employees in Mexico. We wanted to do both; offer organic Mexican food to the communities we serve as well as honor the mothers who work tirelessly in the kitchens of Mexico and often live without their husbands and children while they work side by side with us in California. Inspired by some of the recipes of these families and the love of their mothers, Gracias Madre serves organic, farm fresh, locally sourced food, full of flavor and love paired along side with our agave-based cocktail program spearheaded by Beverage Director Maxwell Reis.

I love this space so much. It is my go to place to take friends from out of town. The gorgeous patio with the scent of mesquite wood wafting from the outdoor fireplace, coupled with the Spanish architecture and olive trees is the perfect setting to say welcome to California. On top of the incredible setting, the food is outstanding and completely changes their perception of what vegan food can be. Absolutely magical!

Taco Tuesday was a nice price to try 3 tacos and a very good margarita for $25. We added quac, chips and a wet burrito and left full! Our server was super attentive even as the place filled up. We aren’t vegans, but wanted to try the restaurant— and were pleasantly surprised!

I have been a fan of Gracias Madre from the outset but I have to say that I find the food a bit less exciting now than it used to be. The hearts of palm "crab cakes" were probably the best vegan "crab cakes" I have ever had, but many of the other dishes did not seem significantly distinguishable from or superior to what one might find in a much less pricey Mexican restaurant. Maybe the chef wasn't in the kitchen last night but I was less excited by my experience than in the past

The Newport Beach one is a lot better. The atmosphere is nice but there was better food and service at the other location. I don't know if it was because it was a busier night but overall it was a nice evening. I think the lack of parking/road work was a bit of a pain as well but that should only be temporary.

Very good experience, food was all excellent - some of the best Mexican-American food I’ve had, let alone completely vegan. Restaurant has a great atmosphere - we sat outside on the the patio. Servers were really nice and overall service was very good - when one entree was delivered later than the other, they offered to take it off the bill on the spot! Save room for dessert - the tres leches cake is a must.

While not vegan, I found the approach fascinating and the dishes very interesting. Great atmosphere and food. Waitress not attentive but I am finding that the norm at many LA restaurants. Would have been perfect evening but for rude altercation with one of the hostesses on my way out - called for car and went to bathroom and assumed my family had gone outside. I left the bathroom and went outside but they had apparently also gone to the bathroom. When I walked back inside the same hostess who checked me in and who I sat 3 tables away from during my 2 hour dinner acted like I was an intruder and sent some people after me. I would be very careful walking in here with (or without) a reservation!

Great looking place. Food - horrible. Never again. Only thing that was good was the guacamole. The restaurant was freezing cold because they had the doors open - all of them - when it was 55 degrees outside. Stupid. Service was good and staff was nice. But food was AWFUL. A $150 lunch for three people. It was stupid and disappointing

Great place, love the benches and large tables. Hostess is quick and if you have a reservation you are golden. Prices have gotten pretty high, but what isn't. Entrees are about $27, drinks $15, apps $18. Chips and guacamole yummy at 15.50 would like a little more guacamole than a small bowl but super yummy! Gorditos was toasty on the outside and perfect in the middle, soft and velvety. Check this place out, they have a good happy hour if you can make it in by 6pm. Marg's are 9 vs. 17. Totally would go again.

The food was great. The cauliflower wasn't exactly as per description but the taco tuesday flight and the loaded nachos were amazing. Service was lovely as well, we sat outdoors and it wasn't too cold with the heaters. Highly recommend!

Service has been consistently bad last couple visits. Rez was at 8 - ordered drinks and then server never came back. We’re patient but At 8:50 server still hadn’t come back once to take order. The manager finally came around, he was nice and apologized but we were over it by then and left hungry w no food. Used to be a regular, but I’ve come to realize it’s just no longer what it used to be unfortunately. There’s so many great spots in LA, I’m moving on!
