It was our first time at Gracias Madre and we were highly satisfied with everything! We loved it!

My husband and I went for Valentine’s Day dinner! I am a vegan and he is not. So we felt that this would be a great night to both enjoy a wonderful vegan meal. As a starter we had Crab Cakes. We have different palates, so I thought it to be a delicious "mock" of a Crab Cake, while my husband felt it was no where close to tattooing like a Crab😂. He still enjoyed it, because it was good flavoring, just felt it should have been called something else. He ordered the chimichangas and enjoyed it, especially for the portion size, as this was one of their more "meatier" dense meal.
I had the gordita‘s and found it to be amazingly delicious with the soyrizo that it offered. I also had the Madre chopped salad, that was delicately light and yet still fulfilling with the chickpeas added in.

Food was yummy, very fair pricing, great service and romantic Valentine's choice!

My cocktail came out at the end of the meal and the quesadilla was not a flattened quesadilla and came out as soon as we ordered it and was cold.

Despite taking the reservation in advance, we had to wait almost for 30 mins. Even after that when we went to ask the hostess the third time, she didn't really remember about our reservation and was giving us a wait time of another 20 mins until I reminded her that we had a reservation.

The vibe of the restaurant was great though the food was okay. The drink was really good and the service wasn't exceptional as we had to call the server everytime we wanted something.

Birthday brunch for my mom. She had been wanting to try this place for over a year. She loved everything about it. We all enjoyed the food and beverages; the ambience in the outside patio perfect for brunch.

Cauliflower is a must! Went for a business dinner and was so good we all agreed we could vegan if all food was that delicious.

Amazing food

Unfortunately their brunch menu is very limited. I have an onion allergy and they had very few options for me and were unwilling to make anything fresh. When I have gone here for lunch or dinner they were much more accommodating.

Gorgeous ambiance - stunning patio! The food is amazing...if you didn't know it was vegan, you wouldn't know it was vegan. Love Love LOVE!!!

DineLA menu gave a taste of what the restaurant's bigger menu. With that, very subpar dishes.

Have been eating plant based for over 5 years, and seek out vegan restaurants when dining out. I was very excited to try this place, but left very disappointed. The appetizers (gorditas and crab cakes) were fine but served to us cold, as if they were just removed from the fridge. Mushroom
Fajitas were tasty however all the sides served with it were cold. The biggest disappointment would have to be the jackfruit tacos, cold and severely under seasoned. These tacos left a terrible taste in my mouth and left me unable to try anything else. Server was kind but was extremely hard too get a hold of to order and get the check. Everything served to us was cold which was disappointing. There are so many incredible restaurants that have vegan options. Mexican food in general has a variety of vegan options, this place has high reviews for some reason, ambiance was great...food not so much

Great Ambiance.

The food was fantastic, but trying to get parking was horrific. In the end, we chose to get valet and in the process noticed a lady in a truck almost run over four people along with almost hitting my car and another. The valet justified this lady. Valet isn’t validated despite there being no self parking options. The food was great, but we ended up sitting at the end of the bar. Our bartender was also great, but our seating location was often used for drink prep and it was very uncomfortable and awkward. I would suggest eating at this restaurant, but not at this location.

I hadn’t been to this place for years! Maybe even since it first opened. I’m happy to see it’s thriving. The drink I had, was the most perfectly made Margarita I have ever had! The mushroom fajitas were amazing. Actually all of the food was absolutely delish. Here’s the thing though, I was with friend who was visiting from Paris. When our wait-person dropped off our check as our dessert was being delivered, my friend looked at me and said, “That would never happen in Europe.” The meal felt wonderfully timed until then. I’m sure it’s a rule to keep people from hanging out but, it was kind of a bummer, at the end of a perfect meal. My friend, who actually loves LA and California and wants to return, said it’s an American thing.

mediocre food, good atmosphere but delivering a $30 mezcal when ordered neat in essentially a dixie cup is poor form.

It's vegan, but you would never know. Eat healthy and leave full and satisfied. Plus enjoy the ambiance. Perfect for date or friends.

The food was amazing! The “crab cakes” are a must try. The outdoor patio was beautiful and lively. The service was excellent and I would highly recommend.

I’ve been here several times and recently for restaurant week. Worth the price and love the ambiance. Would definitely come back.

Wonderful meal. We came for dine restaurant week. We order everything in the menu pre made for dine in lLA for restaurant week and we share everything. Everything was delicious

Lovely food.

Perfect place to have a date or dinner with friends

I really enjoyed the food and the ambiance, but the waiter never checked up on us. There were times the silverware were taken with the plates and not replaced so one member of our party had to find an empty table and snatch a set of silverware. I generally give 20% or higher tip, but I was a little disappointed by the fact the lowest suggested was 20% and I felt guilty not giving 20 even though he was not a good server. The people bringing the food out and removing plates deserve at least 15 and he maybe 5. I live the food but probably will not return because I didn’t feel like a valued guest even though the bill was over 200.

Don’t go here if you’re in a rush. Delicious food, but poor service.

Going away to college lunch

I always love good time at Gracias Madre. It's where I take any visitors. They MUST try our gem. Since it is so popular, I hope we get another location so it's not so crowded. On this particular night everyone was extra friendly.

Delicious vegan food with a lot of options. Flavor was amazing. Atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. Would definitely stop here again.
