Gracias Madre - West Hollywood
The idea of Gracias Madre was first conceived while visiting the families of our employees in Mexico. We wanted to do both; offer organic Mexican food to the communities we serve as well as honor the mothers who work tirelessly in the kitchens of Mexico and often live without their husbands and children while they work side by side with us in California. Inspired by some of the recipes of these families and the love of their mothers, Gracias Madre serves organic, farm fresh, locally sourced food, full of flavor and love with a menu spearheaded by Executive Chef Chandra Gilbert and agave-based cocktail program by Beverage Director Jason Eisner.
Need to book at 7:30 AM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Bossa Nova Brazilian Cuisine - West Hollywood
Our waitress failed to get to know her table. Barely talked to us. We struggled with finding a food selection and she didn't even take the time to go over with menu with us. We finally found something but only to realize every menu option contained a nut product. My boyfriend ended up having a severe allergic reaction to the food due to their negligence.
YOU GUYS ROCK !!
Noisy young crowd with good food and service. Recommended.
Fantastic as always
I love Gracias! Great cocktails, great food menu and nice decor indoor/outdoor space.
I made a booking a week ago. For a ‘special occasion’. Arrived early and told I wasn’t being given a table on patio.
I insisted were were- two VIP Brit guests with me, I wanted them to get best vegan Mexican experience. This made us 20 mins late. I asked to wait outside- told we could wait at bar. Not open to serve use. Person in bar sent one of us inside to get drinks menu for other bar. Then this person- a paying guest- has to serve us him self.
Finally at table. My seat had an unpleasant stain on it- from some kind of white liquid. Half cleaned off. Now dried into chair.
I had to put my napkin over it.
Server didn’t notice this, that I’m sat in my napkin & need a new one.
Food was ok. But not as fresh feeling as it used to be.. Didn’t all feel like it was made today or served straight from chef.
I’m sober and your alcohol bar drinks are great- disappointing selection of mocktails & no effort to sell me one or interest me to try something new. I wanted a virgin pina colada- you don’t do this, so I ended up with a pretty lame expensive virgin mohito
Considering the price & where you position yourself- disappointing.
I would be reluctant to gamble on bringing VIP guests for a special occasion again
Restaurant feels like it’s drifting and no-one’s in charge
Also I’m Intersex non-binary- you only have binary Male & Female bathrooms - so NOT 2020, WeHo..so I had to choose one I get least looks in- the men’s and it didn’t feel very comfortable.
Great service, solid margaritas. Food was okay; some items were better than others. Ambience was lovely and fun.
Overall drinks are great. The staff was wonderful, really good service. Some of the best I have seen. They are pricy for certain items.
Great atmosphere inside & out. Good location.
I recommend Gracias Madre - West Hollywood. Great food, service and ambiance. Will return, time and time again!!!
Guys all i can say is that we come here for work because we have vegetarians on our team but we come back because it’s just to good not to! Total meat eater but this is a go to place now and forever. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Love the outdoor seating area, awesome food, great service.
My wife and I are regulars at GM, to be able to share with our out of State friends is a gift. They want a GM where they are!
Danny, my waiter was so nice, I thank you for the recommendations.
Too noisy inside. Difficult to have a conversation
Awesome food, and I’m not vegetarian.
Hard to get server over to us
We were so excited to try this restaurant. It wasn't for us - extremely loud, food was so disappointingly bland and the service was non-existent. It seemed like a lot of hype for a very mediocre experience. I would honestly never go again.
Fantastic from start to finish. One of the best plant-based experiences in Southern California.
One of my absolute favorite LA spots. Fantastic cocktails and lots of healthy, delicious options.
It was some of the slowest service we have ever had. The dispassionate host also sat us next to one of the largest and loudest tables in the restaurant when the place was nearly empty. The food was amazing, but waiting a half an hour for just the sugar for the coffee (got it after we asked for it again, and again, and finally got up to ask for it) and then 45+ minutes to actually order, made what should have been an amazing experience feel a lot less special.
Though the setting was cute and warm, the food was a major disappointment. The price certainly did not match the food nor the presentation. We went there for our anniversary, at my request, and I felt horrible for having picked the location.
I enjoyed the quesadilla but my husband did not care for the chimichanga. He said it was mostly black beans. Excellent service, great ambiance, if a little noisy. I think it is great to have a plant based cuisine option so close to home, we live just about 4 blocks away. We don't go too often however, because the portions are on the smaller side so when you do a starter, and have a cocktail or some wine with dinner, the tab adds up pretty quickly.
It was a great experience! Will defense go back when in the area.
Over all amazing experience. Service was great food was also great. Just a little to salty
It was our first time at Gracias Madre and we were highly satisfied with everything! We loved it!
Food was yummy, very fair pricing, great service and romantic Valentine's choice!
My husband and I went for Valentine’s Day dinner! I am a vegan and he is not. So we felt that this would be a great night to both enjoy a wonderful vegan meal. As a starter we had Crab Cakes. We have different palates, so I thought it to be a delicious "mock" of a Crab Cake, while my husband felt it was no where close to tattooing like a Crab😂. He still enjoyed it, because it was good flavoring, just felt it should have been called something else. He ordered the chimichangas and enjoyed it, especially for the portion size, as this was one of their more "meatier" dense meal.
I had the gordita‘s and found it to be amazingly delicious with the soyrizo that it offered. I also had the Madre chopped salad, that was delicately light and yet still fulfilling with the chickpeas added in.
Amazing vegan food! The outside patio is 👌
Excellent food, service, and vibe. We loved it and will be back!
My cocktail came out at the end of the meal and the quesadilla was not a flattened quesadilla and came out as soon as we ordered it and was cold.
Despite taking the reservation in advance, we had to wait almost for 30 mins. Even after that when we went to ask the hostess the third time, she didn't really remember about our reservation and was giving us a wait time of another 20 mins until I reminded her that we had a reservation.
The vibe of the restaurant was great though the food was okay. The drink was really good and the service wasn't exceptional as we had to call the server everytime we wanted something.
Birthday brunch for my mom. She had been wanting to try this place for over a year. She loved everything about it. We all enjoyed the food and beverages; the ambience in the outside patio perfect for brunch.
Cauliflower is a must! Went for a business dinner and was so good we all agreed we could vegan if all food was that delicious.
Unfortunately their brunch menu is very limited. I have an onion allergy and they had very few options for me and were unwilling to make anything fresh. When I have gone here for lunch or dinner they were much more accommodating.
Gorgeous ambiance - stunning patio! The food is amazing...if you didn't know it was vegan, you wouldn't know it was vegan. Love Love LOVE!!!
Great! Love the food
Fantastic night ambience. Patio is recommended. Service and food quality and quantity was top notch
Loved everything about this place!
