Love love loved the view. Amazing wine, food was good overall, but expensive for the price. I'd definitely go back for dessert and drinks!

Everything was excellent except the dessert. Wondered why it took a wait of over 20 minutes after ordering for our dessert to come to the table. The strawberry crème fraiche was rock hard. Obviously left in the freezer the last couple months. Consistency of melted and then refrozen ice cream.

Overpriced for what you get. Food was either too complicated or bland. For $88 a person I expected more. The staff was great and the view was excellent. I just wish the food was better.

This was a little dated, as far as good food is concerned. There was nothing wrong with it, but it was a little antiquated in approach, method, flavor profile. Or it was trying too hard in some places. It's an old vibe with mostly old people (we're in our mid 30s).

The view is stunning though.

Service was outstanding , you couldn't get a better view of Boulder at night. Connor our server made our night. Food was varied and good, can be a little costly other than that the night was great. Definitely going to be a repeat diner.

Enjoyed our dining experience very much. You made our anniversary very special. The lobster was a little chewy but other than that very good. The amount of plates you go through is slightly disturbing, we counted 34 not counting the glass ware. The amount of water used must be quite high. I don't want you to think it took away from out evening just an observation.

Everyone knows about the quality of the Flagstaff House. We also noticed how easy it was to carry on a conversation, or to hear the server. Attention has been paid to the type of wall and floor covering (and ceiling, it was pointed out), as well as the type of chair upholstering used. Smart!

This was our second visit to Flagstaff House. Everything was simply outstanding. Even when half of our party was almost 30-minutes late, the staff still managed to deliver a flawless dining experience. The waiter and wine staff expertly created wine pairings to go along with our 3-course meal. As usual, looking out over the city of Boulder is worth the visit alone. My only issue is, that is difficult to select between foie gras, duck breast, and venison in the second course -- a nice problem to have.

Great, but we ate too much. Perhaps it is better not to order the multicourse meals but get two courses and desert. It is definitely worth leaving space for desert and (french style) espresso, which is absolutely fantastic. Better than in any Paris cafe.

I don't know how they do it but it is always a consistently a fantastic experience from the front door to desert and back to the front door. Always great to see familiar faces especially Page. It's probably by having professionals in charge and being able to train that makes the service so consistently great. I look forward to returning as soon as I can.

Flagstaff has great ambiance and the food is very good as well. It makes for a very nice evening out for special occasions. However, the menu has changed over the years to steer one toward a three course or "chef's tasting menu". This drives the final cost up, likely over $250 for two "three course" dinners, two drinks, and the tip.

The most outstanding part of our experience was the service. It was almost like a well executed production with each part getting it exactly right. We never had an empty wine glass, the food was paced perfectly, staff was kind and professional and anticipated our every need. Additionally, the setting is stunning and the food interesting and unique but not bizarre. There is something on the menu for everyone. For us, it is a special occasion event. It is at a higher price point and not the kind of decadence we might pursue on a regular basis. We went for the first time 30 years ago, and on returning this year, were not at all disappointed. It has stood the test of time!

Underwhelming. Food was bland. Sea bass was way under cooked (I worked in front and back end of a very nice seafood restaurant for 5 years). Server dropped off drink menus and never followed up. Had to ask for bread 3X. View of Boulder was amazing but I never plan to see it from the flagstaff house again.

Perfect dinner. This was the first fixed menu we have had at Flagstaff. Several choices and great service. Very impressed with the improvements the house has made to the decor, soft and subtle. This is our special dinner place and the Valentines dinner was perfect.

We went for Valentine's Day, the food was edible but nothing great. There was not one thing my husband or I ordered that afterward we were like that was amazing. I thought the food was ok, not worth the few hundred we had dropped on dinner. Also, we were seated near a family that had three smaller children that were rowdy. Not great for a romantic dinner for two. Better restaurants that are far more economical. The view were amazing and romantic.

We went to Flagstaff House for Valentine's Day and I had high hopes. The service was a disaster to a point where it really ruined the dinner. We had an 8:15 reservation. When we arrived at 8:10, there was a line of cars in the valet. My wife had to get out of the car and walk up the road to tell the hostess that we had arrived on time but that I was still waiting to park the car (there was no self parking). Foolishly I was worried about being late for the reservation. Even though I made it inside by 8:20 p.m., we had to wait until 8:45 to be seated. After being seated we waited another 30 minutes for the waitress to take our order. At no point did anyone offer us any bread or anything to eat. In fact, someone came by to dole out a single slice of bread after we had received our first course.

The meal was a 4-course meal for a fixed price. For the starter, I ordered the halibut crudo and it was "meh." My wife had a green salad, which was good (it is hard to mess up a salad). After our first course was cleared, we waited another 20 minutes for the second to arrive. I had the duck breast. It was very flavorful, but the duck breast was slightly cold. My wife had the butternut squash ravioli, which was good, but not great. We waited another 20 minutes for the third course. I ordered the lamb rack and shank. It was great. My wife had the bass, and it was bad. It had the overly fishy taste of old and overcooked fish. At this point, we had to rush through the third course so we could get back home to relieve the sitter (it was already 10:45)! We took our desserts to go.

Given the cost of the dinner, these delays were unacceptable. I get that there might be hiccups on Valentine's day with people lingering at tables, but it was clear that the problem was not inconsiderate guests but a complete failure to expedite food and take orders. While there were some good dishes, the food was not good enough across the board to make us overlook the delays.
