At El Nido we present exceptional ingredients from sources we know and trust. Our menu follows classic cooking with intelligent innovation. Wood-fired pizza, steaks and seafood cooked on the Argentine grill along with homemade pastas are the basis for our food. Our seasonal craft cocktails and Sommelier procured wine list compliment our diverse selections.
With many options we are sure you will find amazing ambiance in this historic building. You can enjoy the relaxed vibe of the Zozobra Bar or dine al fresco on our beautiful covered patio during the temperate Santa Fe summers. In the colder months you can keep warm and enjoy one of three fireplaces in our dining rooms. Something for everyone.
We hope to see you soon, come relax and enjoy the best hospitality and ambiance in Tesuque!

Such amazing staff and service! Couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience and every dish we ordered was delicious!
The chef at El Nido gets more creative every time we visit! The sea bass and fired chicken are unbelievable, and now he’s taken something as simple as a farmers market salad to the next level. Deep fried green tomatoes, pickled carrots, wonderful color in all of the veggies and a perfect citrus vinegar based dressing.
Service is always wonderful, and we really felt safe from a COVID19 perspective, as they go above and beyond what is required. Wonderful evening as always.
Excellent food and service! We really enjoyed the patio, and cocktail selection too.
Loved the fresh bread and pork belly! Can't wait to go back
Very beautiful! Food was amazing! Service was perfect!
Nice meal and the space heaters helped make it comfortable
Everything about El Nido is outstanding. It has become our favorite restaurant in Santa Fe. The menu is creative and the food delicious. Not only that, but they make the best flan in the city. Attentive service without being intrusive. There are bigger names in town, but none better.
Consistently mediocre. It was a Sunday night and we ordered the bread with the special toppings. The bread was stale and costs $10. We told the waiter who informed us that yes, the bread is only baked/delivered twice a week. And Sunday is not the time to get it- so why keep it on the menu and/or charge for it? We keep trying to like this restaurant and went back with guests who had not eaten there. And they won't be eating there again either.
Wonderful service, food was excellent. The waiter gave us several great recommendations. For the food wine and service it was a bargain
Wonderful evening - look forward to going back soon. Food was exceptional!!!
Truly a gem. Food, service and location were all magical. Enjoyed wonderfully crafted cocktails, food and dessert. Highly recommend.
Awesome experience! Felt very safe, bartender was great. Drinks were good and food was awesome.
Had an extraordinary dinner with friends at El Nido. Lovely patio dining with great service and food. Craft cocktail menu is quirky & unique. Crab/shrimp appetizer was outstanding, flat bread and scallops were perfectly cooked. Highly recommend this out of the way charming restaurant for a romantic dinner for two or fun and relaxing meal with friends.
Really enjoyed our meal. The service was terrific.
First time back since the first of the year. Impressed with the new menu items. Great service. We will be back soon, before they stop serving the fried green tomatoes.
Had a great time. Food and service were wonderful.
El Nido did an outstanding job under current COVID conditions. Excerpt the masks it almost felt normal. They have expanded there patio with tent to accommodate more outside dining.
The service was great and the food is amazing.
Wonderful food and drink. Friendly service. Nice background music—not too loud. The bisque was fantastic.
The food was delicious. My friend had the Seabass and I had the Huli huli chicken. Green chili mac & cheese was wonderful. We will go back
Food was horrible
Service was horrible
I will never go back
Nice setting outside in Covid time. Wait staff were very polite but for some reason our meals took a very long time and some requests were forgotten. Meal was good but not exceptional. It may have been an off night...so we will go back to give them a second try.
Average to poor service. Food, average to good. Nice atmosphere. Manager barely adequate.
The food was outstanding. The staff was very attentive and assisted with great ease. In addition, the manager of the restaurant came to our table to chat with us and was extremely pleasant and welcoming. We will visit again very soon.
My husband’s medium rare filet was medium and a bit too charred for his taste.
Food wonderful and Our server was great!
We’ve eaten many times at El Nido and had amazing food. This time was definitely lacking. My pasta was very dry—hardly any sauce. My drink was superb, though (El Nido-Rita), which helped. Service was great but we felt banished to the wastelands as we were seated way at the back outside. Ask for a booth inside!
lovely dinner on the new back tented area, we were the only 2 in the area.
Always excellent at El Nido. Awesome food, excellent service, owners who care and half price wine on Wednesday! It’s our go to place for special occasions and just when we want an excellent dinner.
We had not dined at El Nido in years. We found the dinner (flatbreads) to be delicious. I had a smoked cocktail, while novel, was not as smoky as I expected. The covered patio was lovely and the staff attentive and professional.
Overall we enjoyed the evening and look forward to coming back again.
I juts love this hidden gem. Santa Fe has so many great dining opportunities and this is one of them (Tesuque). We eat here every time we are in town. Love it.
Always a perfect environment for casual dining.
El Nido’s back patio is perfect. It’s sheltered from the rain but we got to be outside. The food was fantastic! The cocktails were great. And the staff was attentive but not overly intrusive great place for a birthday gathering.
Great new chef!!!
Top restaurant of Santa Fe! This was our first time at El Nido and had the best dinner in years. The service from Katie was outstanding. She was knowledgeable, funny, engaging...perfect. Janine was the manager and was equally as fantastic. 10/10 in my book.
Kale salad and halibut are exceptional
We visited El Nido for a special occasion - our first night out in a long time due to Covid. We were incredibly impressed - one of the best meals we've had in Santa Fe for a long time. Apparently there is a new chef since March of 2020 - he is incredible. Such wonderful attention to food quality and presentation. My husband had the Beef Wellington and I had the scallops, plus we had an appetizer of charcoal-roasted vegetables with cauliflower curry. Everything was delicious and service was very attentive. The appetizer was so large I could have made it a meal in and of itself. We live nearby, so we plan to return for a weeknight meal as well. There are flatbreads on the menu, as well as a selection of small plates. Staff were Covid-attentive, which we appreciated. What a great experience!
Great food, great chef, warm and inviting as you would expect in beautiful Tesuque.
For the most part, the food was good. I was personally disappointed in the kale salad...it was in a mound with fruit on top and the kale was so cold that it tasted frozen. We had ordered the bread at the waiter's encouragement, but they ran out. ( we had 7:15 reservations), so we ordered the Cacio e pepe, which was excellent. My new Mexico beef wellington was good...beef was done properly but it wasn't a wellington in the sense that there was no pastry around the beef. It was all on the side. My friends ordered the chicken, which they said was good but had wished for breast meat with the thighs. We also ordered carrot cake...a BIG disappointment. Didn't taste like carrot cake at all and came in a small skillet. Server should have described it for us. It was a big let down.
A really great experience overall! Everything was superb!! Our complements to the Cheff and all who made it a wonderful evening for my wife and me!!!
Unbelievable service. The Seabass was incredible. Crispy crust, tender inside.
