At El Nido we present exceptional ingredients from sources we know and trust. Our menu follows classic cooking with intelligent innovation. Wood-fired pizza, steaks and seafood cooked on the Argentine grill along with homemade pastas are the basis for our food. Our seasonal craft cocktails and Sommelier procured wine list compliment our diverse selections.
With many options we are sure you will find amazing ambiance in this historic building. You can enjoy the relaxed vibe of the Zozobra Bar or dine al fresco on our beautiful covered patio during the temperate Santa Fe summers. In the colder months you can keep warm and enjoy one of three fireplaces in our dining rooms. Something for everyone.
We hope to see you soon, come relax and enjoy the best hospitality and ambiance in Tesuque!

Nice setting outside in Covid time. Wait staff were very polite but for some reason our meals took a very long time and some requests were forgotten. Meal was good but not exceptional. It may have been an off night...so we will go back to give them a second try.
Average to poor service. Food, average to good. Nice atmosphere. Manager barely adequate.
The food was outstanding. The staff was very attentive and assisted with great ease. In addition, the manager of the restaurant came to our table to chat with us and was extremely pleasant and welcoming. We will visit again very soon.
My husband’s medium rare filet was medium and a bit too charred for his taste.
Food wonderful and Our server was great!
We’ve eaten many times at El Nido and had amazing food. This time was definitely lacking. My pasta was very dry—hardly any sauce. My drink was superb, though (El Nido-Rita), which helped. Service was great but we felt banished to the wastelands as we were seated way at the back outside. Ask for a booth inside!
lovely dinner on the new back tented area, we were the only 2 in the area.
Always excellent at El Nido. Awesome food, excellent service, owners who care and half price wine on Wednesday! It’s our go to place for special occasions and just when we want an excellent dinner.
We had not dined at El Nido in years. We found the dinner (flatbreads) to be delicious. I had a smoked cocktail, while novel, was not as smoky as I expected. The covered patio was lovely and the staff attentive and professional.
Overall we enjoyed the evening and look forward to coming back again.
I juts love this hidden gem. Santa Fe has so many great dining opportunities and this is one of them (Tesuque). We eat here every time we are in town. Love it.
Always a perfect environment for casual dining.
El Nido’s back patio is perfect. It’s sheltered from the rain but we got to be outside. The food was fantastic! The cocktails were great. And the staff was attentive but not overly intrusive great place for a birthday gathering.
Great new chef!!!
Top restaurant of Santa Fe! This was our first time at El Nido and had the best dinner in years. The service from Katie was outstanding. She was knowledgeable, funny, engaging...perfect. Janine was the manager and was equally as fantastic. 10/10 in my book.
Kale salad and halibut are exceptional
We visited El Nido for a special occasion - our first night out in a long time due to Covid. We were incredibly impressed - one of the best meals we've had in Santa Fe for a long time. Apparently there is a new chef since March of 2020 - he is incredible. Such wonderful attention to food quality and presentation. My husband had the Beef Wellington and I had the scallops, plus we had an appetizer of charcoal-roasted vegetables with cauliflower curry. Everything was delicious and service was very attentive. The appetizer was so large I could have made it a meal in and of itself. We live nearby, so we plan to return for a weeknight meal as well. There are flatbreads on the menu, as well as a selection of small plates. Staff were Covid-attentive, which we appreciated. What a great experience!
Great food, great chef, warm and inviting as you would expect in beautiful Tesuque.
For the most part, the food was good. I was personally disappointed in the kale salad...it was in a mound with fruit on top and the kale was so cold that it tasted frozen. We had ordered the bread at the waiter's encouragement, but they ran out. ( we had 7:15 reservations), so we ordered the Cacio e pepe, which was excellent. My new Mexico beef wellington was good...beef was done properly but it wasn't a wellington in the sense that there was no pastry around the beef. It was all on the side. My friends ordered the chicken, which they said was good but had wished for breast meat with the thighs. We also ordered carrot cake...a BIG disappointment. Didn't taste like carrot cake at all and came in a small skillet. Server should have described it for us. It was a big let down.
A really great experience overall! Everything was superb!! Our complements to the Cheff and all who made it a wonderful evening for my wife and me!!!
Unbelievable service. The Seabass was incredible. Crispy crust, tender inside.
The patio at El Nido is truly a beautiful place to enjoy a meal. The food is great and the service is always spot on. Great place for a casual meal or for a special occasion. One of our favorite spots!
Food and service are wonderful! Sea bass is so outstanding and the patio is very accommodating during these times. Wed half off wine deals cannot be beat and we all left with ideas about what to try the next time. Will be back soon!
My companion and I went for drinks, and we ended up sharing the bread service, the farmers salad, and the tomato bisque. The tomato bisque was fantastic. The farmer salad was super interesting and very good. It was composed of beets and onions and maybe carrots that were sous vide, as well as mixed greens, a fried artichoke bottom, and a green tomato. Maybe more. The bread service was only so-so. It was a green chili loaf and a small tart with tomatoes and onions. The jams that were served with it were interesting, but I prefer butter, which was also served. The bread tasted like an unflavorful Italian country loaf that was not well cooked, but I’d order it agIn because I am a bread head.
Only exterior patio service due to Covid measures. Food and service and staff attitude excellent!!
Steak was good but a little fatty. My wife loved her chicken. Always love this place.
Probably the best piece of sea bass I have ever had! The preparation was perfect along with the risotto it came with. We started the meal with the roasted radishes and beets which were amazing. Going back next week with friends and I can't wait!
Wonderful new flavors, thank you to the chef and the friendly staff.
Had a great dinner. Our waitress was excellent. She too very good care of us as well as thee rest of the staff.
EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE - Merissa and Jonathan
Love, love El Nido! Incredible food, outstanding service and love both the huge patio and charming dining room. Not to be missed when in Santa Fe or Tesuque!
Service and food was outstanding
Staff and Chef were excellent!!!
The food and cocktails were absolutely unique! Everything was delicious. We enjoyed meeting the staff...so personable and kind:)
El Nido was as awesome as ever. The Farmers Salad was so good. Our favorite place, service, food, drinks all excellent.
Chef Kai is amazing - from the flatbreads to his specials (last night was Seabass over risotto ), everything is delicious every single time . Great cocktail menu too !
There is an outdoor patio
Beautiful relaxing patio dining. Food was good, service was outstanding.
New Chef is excellent! You must go!
We had a wonderful meal at El Nido during the 4th of July weekend. They have a lovely outdoor patio space and the service was excellent. My husband had the lamb rump and it was so good he is trying to figure out how to replicate it at home!
Their attention to COVID issues was very good. They have a new chef since my last visit, late feb. The food is medium (steak, roast chicken) exceptional for the el nido flatbread which was excellent. Don’t order the focaccia. The service, given the current situation, was a bit too intrusive for my taste. But that is just me. I did give a 25% tip because life has been so difficult recently. My last review said that they were my new favorite place. No longer.
A must visit if you are in Santa Fe or the surrounding area. We just returned from a week there and we ate dinner at El Nido TWICE! The Cacio e pepe with black truffles was the hands down winner in our party of 5. The Ribeye was cooked to perfection and the coal fired beets and radishes was divine (and I am not a fan of beets). The service is fantastic. The drinks perfect. The El Nido staff is taking social distancing and wearing masks seriously so it feels warm and safe. If patio seating is available - take advantage. Love, love, love this place!
