SIMPLE INGREDIENTS. HONEST COOKING. UNPARALLELED AMBIANCE. At El Nido we present exceptional ingredients from sources we know and trust. Our menu follows classic cooking with intelligent innovation. Wood-fired pizza, steaks and seafood cooked on the Argentine grill along with homemade pastas are the basis for our food. Our seasonal craft cocktails and Sommelier procured wine list compliment our diverse selections.
With many options we are sure you will find amazing ambiance in this historic building. You can enjoy the relaxed vibe of the Zozobra Bar or dine al fresco on our beautiful covered patio during the temperate Santa Fe summers. In the colder months you can keep warm and enjoy one of three fireplaces in our dining rooms, or dine at our Chef's Counter and view our open flame grilling. Something for everyone.     Then place was moderately busy given it was Sunday when we were there. The food was as expected: well prepared and flavorful. Especially utilizing their open flame grilling. A great addition to Santa Fe dining scene.

    El Nido is one of our favorite restaurants in Santa Fe. We like the outdoor dining. The menu is always interesting, and the service is attentive but relaxed. If a friend asked me for the one restaurant to visit in Santa Fe, I would suggest El Nido.

    We had reservations at 6:45 before an opera. The staff was very aware of the opera start time, made recommendations based on our time constraints, and even had an opera menu. Ambiance was great, service was great, food was amazing. I'll definitely be going back.

    This is our go to favorite restaurant for pre Santa Fe Opera. Always a fabulous food experience and absolutely great friendly service. Tesuque location is calming and very New Mexican. Our friends who live nearby often meet us and love it too. The chicken schnitzel was top notch and four of us enjoyed it. The Basque cheesecake was top notch die for. We will be back of course…

    El. Nido is situated in the village of Tesuque in a historic adobe that's been updated with modern amenities. Great atmosphere and excellent food. While not attending the opera on the evening we visited, we noticed they have a special menu for those wishing a simple, quick approach before a show. Smart, great service, and wonderful ambience. We'll be back!

    I love El Nido. Each room has its own wonderful personality. The food is excellent with a broad range of options for meat lovers and vegetarians alike. Don't miss the fried chickpea appetizer. It is just the thing to munch on while you are sipping drinks.

    Food was delicious. The green Chile pepperoni pizza never disappoints. The Mac and cheese got a thumbs up from everyone at the table. My husband cleaned his plate -he had the chicken schnitzel. We all were happy with our meals. It was noisy but it was summertime at El Nido! Lots of energy. Our waitperson could’ve been a bit more attentive but we think they were short staffed. We will continue to enjoy El Nido,

    AbEl Nido is a Santa Fe treasure—where rich flavors meet rustic charm. We started with the steak empanadas, which were perfectly crisp and packed with savory goodness. The wagyu burger was indulgent and expertly cooked, and the chicken schnitzel was golden, tender, and deeply satisfying. The space itself carries a warm, welcoming energy—no surprise given its storied past as one of the area’s most iconic gathering spots. Great food, thoughtful service, and a setting that subtly echoes its colorful history. A must-visit!
