OLD. NEW. GOOD.
At El Nido we present exceptional ingredients from farmers we know and trust. This is the point of departure for all our food. Carrying that tradition forward, our menus follow classic Italian cooking with intelligent innovation.
Best-of-season vegetables, wood-fired meats and homemade pastas are the basis of our food and is our reasoned approach to what is succulent and modern.
When you think El Nido, think: elegant, rustic yet refined, honest, delicious food, set in a fine-dining atmosphere without pretense.

Absolutely fantastic dining experience!
From our greeting with the hostess, the New Mexico 75 cocktail, Melissa our positive and delightful server, the melt in your mouth filet mignon, the slide off the bone lamb shank, and the incredible nest and tiramisu desserts!!! Everything was PERFECT! Thank you...
First date went great at El Nido. Server, Melissa, was friendly and efficient. Food was well prepared and prompt. Front desk staff was very professional too.
My wife and I are regulars at this restaurant for a good reason..it’s a comfortable place with excellent food, good wine list, and very good wait staff. They’re not in your face, yet they don’t treat people like they’re just a number. Friendly, warm atmosphere, no rush kind of place, and makes for a good evening out. Don’t miss it and, yes, it’s well worth the drive.
Everything was spot on from the moment we arrived. Great Service and delicious food.
Outstanding service! Our servers recommendations were spot on. The food was excellent. A great place for a quiet night to recharge!
Enjoyable meal. Wednesday is a good day to go since they have half off bottles of wine and half off pizzas currently. Our shrimp pesto pizza was outstanding, as was the lobster bisque and black sea pasta. Very good service and after dinner amaro was on the house.
Food was great. Service was slow.
Food and service were amazing. I loved my steak and green chile butter oysters.
We go for the pasta and pizzas.
Very good food, had the walnut salad and the butternut squash ravioli. Would go again, service was great.
Service was friendly & attentive, but a bit slow at times and not up to our expectations. They seemed to be having an off night. There was a snowstorm a night or two before and perhaps less staff?
We returned our mozzarella appetizer to have it heated & it was quite a bit of time until we received it again. The steak meals were very good, however the Chile rellenos dish was like a cheeseball and not really what one might expect. It would have been good to know this in advance of ordering it. The tiramisu was fine, but nothing special.
I don’t think I would return again unless I exhausted other fine dining options in the area. Nothing was particularly memorable about our experience.
Had just about everything on the menu and it's all great!
My new tradition, I absolutely loved the experience
Went for Christmas Eve dinner, it was a fixed menu as many places were, which is fine. However, ALL of the desserts were boozy which isn’t very mindful of those who do not drink for whatever reason. Ambiance was great, service on point.
We've dined at El Nido several times over the past year and they always keep us coming back! On 12/24 they offered a lovely fixed menu for $75 per person starting with a choice of Oysters Rockefeller, a salad or a pasta dish. I had oysters, my wife had the pasta, both were excellent. The main course was a choice of prime rib or salmon roulade. My meat was wonderful, medium rare and nicely seasoned.
Unfortunately, my wife's salmon was under-cooked, rare and cool in the center. The salmon was rolled around spinach and ricotta cheese and I think they underestimated the cooking time. The waiter took the salmon back and brought out another one in a few minutes... same problem! They very graciously took my wife's entire meal charge off our bill, which we were not expecting; that was a very classy gesture.
The dessert was wonderful: a big chocolate ball that they pour hot sauce over to melt the chocolate and reveal a scoop of ice cream inside! We'll be back!
Hand been here several times and it’s my top spot in Santa Fe. Lots of good restaurant but this one is a great mix of comfort with refined food. I’m booking for NYE!
Superb atmosphere and staff. They all took time to talk and answer our many questions.
Making this my new favorite bar! Went for Happy Hour and stayed for a dinner after. Good draught beer selection for $5 during HH. Had a Hot Toddy cocktail after that made with an Italian Amaro and spiced syrup it was recommended and super delicious. Food has been spot on each time I have been, the mozzarella appetizer is amazing and the Buffalo Burger is to die for.
We come back every time we get to Santa Fe. Great neighborhood gem!
Great food! Great Service!! Cocktails at the bar were excellent. This has become one of our Santa Fe favorites.
My wife and I had an excellent meal here; the food, service, ambience, and decor were all outstanding. I had wagyu beef and my wife had a pasta with bison. We ahread an outstanding beet salad generously supplied with pistachios and an ample, delicious cannoli dessert. Even with 3 glasses of wine the bill was only moderate. I am eager to go back.
My friends and I went for our Christmas dinner. We've been good friends since elementary school. We picked El Nido because our friend Oscar works there. We were hoping to be seated at one of his tables. We weren't, but we got to visit with him a little while he worked. Also because it had been years for all of us since we went there, we wanted to try someplace new. We all enjoyed our meals very much. Thanks to pi ur super friendly waiter.
Good & local
Unfortunately very disappointing meal. Steak was over done and Chile relleno sauce tasted like canned spageetti sauce.
We absolutely love El Nido: the place, the people, the food. All excellent
Love the place!
Excellent wines and sommelier service! Wednesday night has become our go to date for wines and pizzas!
We have eaten at El Nido several times as we live in Santa Fe and have enjoyed it. We were very disappointed this time on a number of fronts. First, we were seated in the back section of the restaurant next to the manager’s office and the staff kept coming and going through the office door. There was very little ambiance to this room as compared to the rest of the restaurant. Not sure why we had to sit back there as we had made reservations a few days prior. The front room was occupied by a large party but we could have been seated near the bar. My friend ordered the squash ravioli and she could not eat it. Fortunately the waiter was very gracious and we did not have to pay for it. My pasta dish was just average and the tomato sauce did not have much flavor. Our husbands had the pork carnitas which were very delicious.
The most unpleasant thing was a group of 6 sitting next to us got very special attention by the manager and he did not even come over to our table to say hello. And we ordered 2 bottles of wine so we should have at least been acknowledged. With all the choices in Santa Fe, we will likely not be going back to El Nido.
Max our server was very attentive and helpful. Handsome server as well. Keep him on your payroll.
Yummy food service wine ambiance!!
Loved it! The staff went way out of their way to give good service!
We had a wonderful meal with great service this time. Both were missing on our last visit. But I like to keep giving El Nido another chance because I love the ambiance and the menu. They make the best pizza around and their menu is so interesting. I like that. Sometimes we come in for pizza and a glass of wine or beer and sometimes we want some meat and sometimes we want something lighter--just an app. I had the filleto appetizer which was perfect for me as an entree with a salad. Everyone loved their meal and the waiter, Ed gave us the perfect amount of attention. The sommelier and manager, Chris came to our table a couple of times to see how we were. We appreciated that. Plus he gave us a lesson in some wines. Always like talking to someone who knows more than me about wine--which is most people. Good dinner--we will return.
Wonderful meal, great service, nice ambiance. Chef even prepared a special dessert for my birthday.
We had a very nice evening with great food! The service was excellent with a warm comfortable atmosphere.
We loved the food and was our second time for thanksgiving at El Nido. Our waiter was so busy and didn’t have the time to stop and engage us. We had to ask for water and refilled our own wine glasses. We love the oysters as well as our main course and the chocolate egg was delicious!
Fun dining experience // Chef Cristian is outstanding // Service was spot on // Creative cuisine //
A fantastic restaurant with wonderful service. This is our "go to" place in Santa Fe!
Thanksgiving was amazing - great service great food!
Went for TG. Second time to El Nido since they re-opened. We booked a party of 6 for 3 couples, but when we arrived, restaurant told us res was only for 2, and they said that often happens with Open Table, getting it wrong; a bit inconvenient on a holiday, but restaurant scrambled to fit us in. Uncomfortably cold and drafty in the back room where stage is, off main dining rooms. We had to ask them multiple times to shut the door to outside. Try to get table in main room where fireplace is, or room with booths and bar. Service was friendly, but waitstaff was busy and overwhelmed and got a few things wrong, bringing bread 40 min after seating, forgetting to bring second glass of wine ordered after 2 reminders, had to cancel it, because we were almost done with meal, when we inquired again after 30 min wait on second glass, also got orders mixed up. All-in-all, food quite good. I would still eat there again at some point, but will try to get into main dining room.
