    We were recommended by some friends that come into town quite often. Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed at the overall mediocre experience. It appears they only had one server for just about the whole restaurant. There was one young man that provided water and picked up plates that seemed as if he could’ve easily been a server himself. It’s just unfortunate that he wasn’t utilized to his capacity. Instead, leaving one server to accommodate but look like 10 to 12 tables. The food itself was just OK at best.     I can always count on El Nido for great food and service. We've had Leslie a few times recently, and she is very attentive but not annoyingly so. While our food was delicious for three of us who had branzino, our friend who had the duck was not overwhelmed with it. We REALLY missed having the lamb pappardelle on the menu---we were told it's a winter dish. We find it wonderful all year, so we can't wait to have it back---it's the best. Our table was the one we requested, so we very much appreciated the accommodations.

    We had never tried this restaurant and we were not disappointed. The appetizer and main course was great. The waitress was very polite and brought us extra bread to go with our appetizer.

    I ordered the stuffed artichoke, and it was a joke! It was so little that I had two bites and I’m not exaggerating and it was done. It wasn’t even good for $16. Your prices are outrageous for the amount of food that you give. We probably won’t come back.

    The food and ambience are excellent. However, the portions are very small for the price. We really like this restaurant and would visit more often if it was a bit less expensive for what you get.

    Amazing meal with gorgeous presentation and top notch service! It’s not the least expensive restaurant in Santa Fe, but the value is appropriate. We were seated in the front room, which is fine, however I gave 4 stars because I find the ambience in the middle room much warmer and appealing. Try the chickpea appetizer! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever eaten and so delicious!

    We always enjoy El Nido but last night’s dinner was too delicious not to mention. The chef really out did himself. Our fish dishes were wonderful. And our meal was made even more delightful by our server Lena. Looking forward to next time.

    Our “server” was delightful, and the classic Santa Fe dining experience hasn’t gotten old. We’ve loved El Nido since we first “discovered” it in the 70’s. It’s very special!

    Our experience was great due to our server, Tiffany and others on the wait staff that were attentive and friendly. Tiffany helped us make excellent decisions on our meal and drinks and made our visit special. Everything we ordered was delicious. We'll be back to try other items on the menu and to enjoy the great service.

    New creative drinks on the menu. We loved the watermelon salad. Chilean sea bass was done perfectly with an interesting chimichurri sauce and mushroom risotto on the side.

    We had a per opera dinner at El Nido with the per opera menu. The chilean sea bass with rice was fantastic !!! It was the perfect attunement for the opera night.

    What a fantastic birthday dinner! El Nido is our favorite haunt and we are never disappointed. The squash blossoms stuffed with goat cheese on a puddle of poblano cream sauce was outstanding!! Bravo!

    The food at El Nido is OK, but not exceptional or exciting. My partner didn't finish his pesto pizza, which was fairly tasteless except for the acrid tang of charred pine nuts sprinkled on top. Others at our table liked their entrees of salmon and chicken better, but no one experienced a wow factor that you expect for the high prices. Service was relaxed but attentive. Our waiter was genial and helpful. There's a sushi restaurant under the same roof, but you can order sushi in the El Nido dining room only if they are "not too busy" in the sushi wing. We were told that we could "maybe get a roll or two." We declined, so I can't vouch for the sushi.

    The fixed price meal was excellent. All 3 courses were delicious and made just the way we requested. Good sized wine list at reasonable prices. We enjoyed watching the kitchen staff and the aroma of burning wood at the Kitchen Counter experience.

    Miguel took fabulous care of us and the entire staff was so helpful with giving local recommendations of things to do. The food was delightful and the drinks and wine were fabulous! Will definitely come back on our next trip!

    Two items were outstanding ; the stuffed artichoke and the stuffed pablano pepper. I had the salmon, which was just ok although the accompanying sides were very good. The margarita tasted watered down. The dessert was boring (lemon tart) it was too sweet and not enough lemon flavor. I would go back but only to order the 2 items mentioned.

    We sat on the patio which was very nice and relaxing. Service was outstanding - enough but not too much attention. We split the corn soup and the stuffed artichoke - both delicious. Homemade ravioli and poblano peppers were very good. Nice drink and wine menu. Would definitely recommend. Parking is a little tricky and would suggest parking on the one way road

    Was pleasantly surprised, very well decorated, lovely ambiance. Server was knowledgeable and great at recommended food, we took his advice and the food was simply devine and it didn't take long at all to get as well. We will definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu

    We are impressed by the friendliness and flexibility of the wait staff, and the delicious food. El Nido has come a long way from it’s former self, and we really appreciate it as both a neighborhood hang out and as a Destination Restaurant.

    First time at the wonderful restaurant. What a delightful experience! When making reservations, mention if you only want sushi. There is a full menu and a sushi menu. Both menus are full of delicious options. We were in a sushi mood so we were seated in the room where the incredible sushi chef prepared our meal. Our waiter, Jose may have been the most professional yet most congenial server I have ever had! He explained the menu and answered every question and request we threw at him! His attention to detail was appreciated. Now to the food. Every bite was delicious! From the hamachi with ponzu sauce to the Tres Leche cake. Remember we are in New Mexico! The fresh edamame was dusted with a red chili salt. The presentation of each dish showed the talents of the two chefs. Our martini glass was filled with tuna tartare, avacado, lemons slices and edible flowers and fresh fried wonton chips. We added the El Nido roll and a Santa Fe roll to the already satisfying dinner. I cannot wait to go back!

    We have been twice after a friend recommended it. Excellent food and experience both times. Our only suggestion is that your space preference be honored. Our experience was that we made a reservation and specified patio one time and dining room the next but were not seated accordingly either time.
