We were a group of 8 and made a reservation, but needn't have. We were the only party when we arrived. There was one person working both the bar and the tables (some others filled in after we were there a bit) and while he was lovely, service was very slow. Small plates were decent, but entrees were unimpressive. Dessert, supposedly what they are known for, was so-so. Nothing exceptional. The server really was lovely though. Nice personality and brought us some complimentary cookies at the end, likely due to his realization of how long our meal took (we were there almost 3 hours - should have been more like 2). Not somewhere I'd visit again, unless just for drinks on the patio before a show - location is great near the performing arts venues.

The restaurant was almost completely empty which should have been my first clue. We stood around for more than 5 minutes unnoticed by staff and then we were told we could sit anywhere we liked. We were in somewhat of a hurry since we were trying to catch a play but assumed it would be fine since there were only 2-3 other tables with guests and had an hour to eat. We ordered quickly and drinks were brought in good time, but the food took forever! The 2 servers continued to tell the kitchen staff to hurry with the orders since everyone seemed to be trying to make it to the show, but that didn't stop the cook from taking a smoke break (right out front, which was distasteful) and then he slowly made his way back in to finish cooking. The food itself was overpriced and didn't adhere to the menu description at all. The burrata came with sliced fresh tomatoes, not "tomato jam" and the donut hole dessert was laughable. Huge clumps of flavorless fried dough were served with 3 pathetic sauce cups with caramel sauce, powdered sugar glaze, and cold chocolate sauce, not the "chocolate fondue" as described. I'm not sure whether the problem is the lackadaisical kitchen staff not executing the dishes properly or if the menu tries to make everything sound fancier than it is. Even so, it should not have taken long to cook and serve 2 appetizers and a dessert, but it did and we paid $40+ for a dinner we didn't have time to eat. Needless to say, we will not be returning and even though the location is perfect for theater goers, I would not recommend at all!

I made the reservation for Easter Brunch. But when our group showed up to the reservation, there was a sign on the door saying Crave was closed all weekend. Very upset I was not notified and a waste of my group's time.

When my daughter and I arrived at our reservation time, there was a hand written sign on the door that said the establishment was closed (Good) Friday, Saturday (the day of our reservation) and (Easter) Sunday. We quickly had to find a different place to eat before our play. Why did this restaurant accept Open Table reservations during this time period?

Food is good; service not so much. Don't get bottomless drinks for brunch unless you have all day. You'll be waiting.

Not just desserts any more! They've got a lot more to offer, though of course the sweets are their forte. Don't overlook this place when you come downtown.
