Always fabulous! Sat on the bridge, great views, great ambience.
Very exquisite restaurant. Was sent down from Rochester, MN and Tom came up to talk to us. Overall great experience. Going back for more bread pudding
Another delightful meal at Coohills - many thanks!
In the midst of a worldwide pandemic and despite all the challenges of social distancing and regulations, Coohills remains a constant quality operation with great food, attention to details, and lovely service.
The crab cake we had as an appetizer was great, the bread pudding we had for desert was great but the main course was just kind of ehh. It was ok but not great as I expected based on other reviews and pics.
Wonderful quiet dinner, so glad you are open for dining!
Coohills has always been excellent, both for food quality and service. Given all the uncertainty with the pandemic, it was great to visit them and see the care they are putting into making sure their customers can enjoy an excellent meal in a safe environment. Thank you for making our evening special!
Excellent food and service! Best in Denver
The employees all wore masks and followed the COVID-19 Rules. The tables were generously separated from each other and I felt very safe and cared for. The food, as always was delicious.
I had the best time at Coohills!! We sat outside, and it was perfect! The server was so cute and attentive, and we felt welcome, safe and calm! Loved every minute
Two of us visited Coohills for dinner before the Miranda Lambert concert. We cannot say enough about how wonderful our dinner experience was tonight. We sat at the community table in front of the kitchen. The chef prepares a nice selection of choices for a three course meal. We had the crab cakes to start and they were loaded with fresh crab meat with a delicate sauce. The best crab cakes I’ve ever had. Our main course was a Grouper. To be honest, we did not know the other ingredients, but those ingredients made for a superb, perfectly balanced set of flavors with the grouper. Again the sauces and other ingredients were delicate, not over powering or hiding the fish. The chef actually came o er and talked with us, asking our opinion of the grouper dish as ours was the first plate of that new menu item. We could not be more thrilled with the meal. For dessert we had the bouchon with dark cherries. It just melted in our mouths, another perfectly balanced dish. The entire meal was remarkable. The service was prompt, very friendly, but not intrusive. Another wonderful dinner at Coohills.
Great cocktails and food, perfect for a dinner before event at the Pepsi center!
The service was exceptional!! Great friendly staff. The food was really hit or miss. Some highlights and some really bland options too. I think they’re onto something but wished it was more consistent.
It is always an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE dining here. Service, food ambiance is amazing!! Thank you Coohills 😚
The food was absolutely decadent and the service was phenomenal! I would definitely recommend and will certainly go again.
Food was ok. Nothing special for the price.
Amazing dining experience! Highly recommend. Food/creativity was on point. Service was excellent. The space is beautiful and trendy while still warm and inviting. Me and my hubs starting getting irritated at each other but the food was so good we got over it 😂. Can’t get any higher praise than that!!
The food was fantastic and the service was perfectly spaced and attentive. The playing was lovely.
Dinner at Coohills during Denver Restaurant Week (party of 3). Onion soup and vegetable tart first course options were excellent. Crab cake (which had an $8 upcharge) was disappointing given how highly the waiter promoted it. Snails second course was delicious as was the burrata. Beef shortrib third course was very tasty and well cooked. Fish special entree (Grouper) was OK but not great -- vegetables with the fish were better than the fish itself. We opted to split a bread pudding dessert -- super tasty without being too sweet.
Weak food. Some of it was great, other parts were weak sauce.
This is now our favorite restaurant! Every course was surprisingly and DELICIOUS! My fiancé is a chef and he had nothing but good things to say! We’ll definitely be coming back:)
I went there for Valentine’s Day which is my anniversary as well! There were tons of empty tables, it took them 10 minutes to clean if a table, didn’t acknowledge or say happy anniversary. Had one menu with 5 items, I don’t eat dairy or red meat and that was or only choices and it cost over $200 what a rip off!!! Also service was fast and girl acted like she wanted us to leave so she could go home never rushed more and never had a more expensive horrible dinner!!
Excellent vegan wine pairing!
Loved that they had vegan options. Service was excellent!
The food was just so so.
Service and food both outstanding.
Enjoyed the evening // overall 3.5 star rank on par with prior Yelp review average at time of reservation
Service was good
Our food choices were small plates
Taste was +4stars
Presentation +5 Stars. A.K.A. "Food Art"
tad pricey for the portions for 2 stars "Pricey Proud of the Food Art'
Thus an overall 3.5 star rank that is average of all prior reviews on Yelp when we selected the restaurant.
The manager's comment helped me see the fat finger selection that previously had a 2star - and we added clarity to the review
I great experience for us both! The wine was smooth, dinner was excellent, and the service quite attentive and friendly.
Great place to have drinks/food. A favorite of mine in Denver.
Another great job. Great pregame before the Avs.
After New Year's eve we decided not to return. The service was very slow, our waitress unattentive, food just warm (plates were hotter), table not cleared in between curses so food had to be returned to set the table, and the dining room was freezing. I hate to write this review but that's what happened. I noticed that the neighboring table left unhappy, too.
This was our first time there. The overall experience was ok. Service was very slow. When our food came, we were missing a dish we ordered. We told the guy that dropped the food off, he said he would take care of it. By the time anyone checked in on us again, we had finished eating and it was pointless to bring the missing dish. No one checked to see if we were happy with the food after it was dropped. We had to remind the server about a drink we ordered early on. The food we DID get was good. It is a pricey restaurant for that level of service.
Tom Coohill and his team always do a fantastic job. This was New Year's Eve dinner, and rather than do a crazy expensive Price Fixed Only dinner, he had a six course option AND allowed us to order off the menu. Smart. The food was fantastic, as always. And even though it was a very busy night, the staff were charming and helpful. All in all, that's what makes Coohills one of our favorites.
We had the Chilean sea bass, and it was delicious. But they need to turn up the heat; it was very cold in the restaurant. New Year's Eve.
Great night. Took my team there for a pregame before the Avs. Everything wade awesome. Loved that I didn’t have to shout to talk to the person next to me
Lovely restaurant in downtown Denver. Service was excellent by Anna and other staff. Delicious creative food. We enjoyed the chef’s tasting menu which was very fun. And the bread pudding - yum!
A perfect place to go before Pepsi Center. Attentive to timing. Great drinks
Seated and order taken promptly. The escargot were tasty, but a bit on the dry side. I would have liked more sauce. The crab cake was excellent my daughter had soup which she liked followed by a crab cake. We ordered the side of smoked cauliflower which we too Smokey for our tastes
The menu is a bit small, so I recommend looking at it before you go. My steak was not great and for the price, it should have been. The service was meh, we sat there there for a good 10 minutes on a slow night before we were acknowledged. I would not go again for a sit down, will give the bar and happy hour menu a try.
Mommy and son date night, thank you for a great evening! We look forward to returning tomorrow night! I’m bringing a friend this time and she will love it! Thank you
