Excellent food, service and ambience as always. Crab cakes are the best in town
Was an amazing experience and good, would definitely recommend!
Great bar. Food was very good. Service and people were nice and helpfull
Pre concert celebration
Always a great place when you're going to an event at Ball Arena. Short walk from there but the food, ambiance, and wine selection make it a place to go even without an event.
Outstanding crab cake appetizer and Cod dinner. Service was excellent. Always happy with Coohills.
I had never been to Coohills, but was looking for a place close to the Pepsi Center as we had tix to see the Eagles. We enjoyed our dinner and our time at this cute place. The papas bravas were delish.
I don’t normally write a lot of reviews. They had a very limited menu due to a concert of a country music star. We did not know this. The music was loud in the restaurant The food was OK.
Holly and I celebrated our third wedding anniversary at Coohills last night. Three years ago we were married on the bridge outside, and held our reception there. Last night was perfect. Excellent service and delicious foods and drink. We both are so happy that Tom and Diane’s wonderful destination survives!
We really enjoyed our service, but the food itself was lackluster. We ordered swordfish and felt it was under cooked. Seemingly more seared than actually cooked.
Ordered the tasting menu with a few drinks. Food was good enough, not outstanding enough to return. Wrong beer was delivered for which we were charged. Wine selection is solid. Market fish (sword fish) was tasty, steak with glaze hit the mark, the chicken was the star if the show. Desserts were average (also not per requested upon delivery). Overall cost to value left much to be desired for the chef tasting menu- even with some choice. Location and ambiance lends to a beverage with small meal, as opposed to multiple courses in my opinion.
We had a lovely evening and Chef Tom stopped by our table a couple of times to check in on us. There was a very large party in front of us but Chef Tom sent out a free appetizer to satiate us while we waited for our entrees. Which were delicious as was all of the good!!
The menu was more limited than what was on the website (4 entrees: steak, fish, chicken, and veg), but what we had was delicious.
Simply SUBERP! What a gem of a place close to Union Station. The bar is exceptional and the food was outstanding!
Couldn’t have gone to a better place for my anniversary!
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and loved the quiet ambience.
Amazing food and great service. Will come back with every menu change at least 3 times.
The food was very good. We got the chef's tasting menu with wine pairings. To be honest we were a little disappointed with the wines selected. But all five courses of food were excellent.
The service was brusque and indifferent. The chicken with leeks was tender and tasty, but the accompanying carrot puree was just kind of sweet but otherwise tasteless. The chickpea panisse had an extremely unappetizing gooey texture and was also not very flavorful. Overall, the meal and experience was tolerable but definitely not worth the price. If you want to spend this much on a meal, then go somewhere where you'll at least get excellent service.
We have been having really bad luck with restaurants in Denver this year with quality of food and service. So to have a good meal and attentive service was definitely welcomed! Everything was delicious and we were checked on frequently. Will keep this place on our list of reliable places.
The best! Tom and Skylar took care of us lock rock stars. Skylar even gave an incredible toast as we were heading out to the Avs game.
Mediocre at best. At near $100 per person without heavy drinking and without dessert one would expect more. Food was a weak okay, but not great. service was pretentious and unimpressive. He is supposed to be a great chef, but that was not our experience.
the cocktail, appetizer and dessert were great. The steak I ordered was WAY over-cooked.
AMAZING... I took my daughter as a graduation gift from culinary school! We did the 5 course chef’s wine/food tasting. Wow, she was so excited. Chef even stopped and chatted with her. Overall very fun experience!!!
I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal at Coohills. We had a 3 course meal, with a couple of glasses of wine. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Ideal for those who want a romantic night out. There was also plenty of room for bigger groups.
Servers brought incorrect dishes three times and when ordering a different wine the waiter asked if we could use the same glass. When we asked for new glasses the waiter seemed surprised.
First time in Coohills Restaurant. My wife and I had a delightful experience. Our server was very attentive and helpful. The entree were superb and well prepared. Looking forward to another visit.
For our first dining inside experience since COVID began we chose Coohills during the Denver Restaurant Week. The service and food and safely precautions were excellent.
Glad they made it through the pandemic.
We went here for our first time during Denver Restaurant Week, so experienced their special menu for that. The food was very creative and tasty. The service was great too. We will be back.
We have been to Coohills before and enjoyed it very much. This time did not match our past experiences. The food was not as good as previous visits, the service was slow and the price for a relatively small glass of wine seemed inflated. We were a bit disappointed. We will try again and hope for better.
We went for restaurant week, sat at the chef's table. The crab cakes were out of this world. The burrata was good (not homemade, but still tasty) and was served with these great little rye crackers. The fish was good. The bread pudding was amazing. The drinks were outstanding. We tried a special little treat of the snails - fantastic!
Another fabulous, special evening at Coohills! Thanks, Tom, Diane and team!
Rustic modern atmosphere. Pleasant indoor/outdoor seating. Parking available near the restaurant via the street or there is a little parking lot for $15 not quite a block away. Wonderful staff, incredible food, great wine & cocktail selection. Excellent for dates, events, chatting business at the bar, or just a nice sat night out. I fully recommend this restaurant to friends, family, co-workers, etc. Thank you for making the experience so wonderful Coohills staff!
Went for Restaurant week. Wonderful ambiance, service and great cocktails!
Fantastic per usual. We left feeling very full of fabulous food, and the service was equally satisfying.
There was a large wedding rehearsal dinner and there seemed like a lot of people gathered without masks which made us a bit nervous. A child turned over a large screen and but for the fact she was leaning forward she would have been hit hard. The staff asked if we were ok but there was no offer of a drink or dessert or anything. When I made the reservation I mentioned we were celebrating a WEDDING that happened that week. Nothing was said by the host or the wait staff. No special dessert. No nothing. I've had birthday dinners that were more well celebrated by a restaurant than this. For over $400, I was very disappointed. Perhaps because it was Restaurant Week and due to the wedding rehearsal in the room next door, folks must have been distracted. The asparagus soup was divine. The rest of the meal was meh.
Delicious food and drinks, as well as amazingly friendly staff!
We are never disappointed when we dine at Coohill’s. Something always surprises our palet, something is always a creative take on a seasonal vegetable, or ingredient, and the bartender always gets our cocktail request right!
Amazing food. Very unique dishes that are hearty and satisfying. Love love love the new spring menu!
This was our first post-covid night out, and some of our party’s first time at Coohills. Siting on the sparsely occupied outdoor patio at sunset was lovely. Our server was engaging and attentive. The food was a mixed bag. The vegetarian dish was over-roasted, nearly to the point of being inedible. To Coohills credit, when mentioned to the server, the meal was comped. However, whether it should have even left the kitchen at a not super busy time is the question. Two steak meals were ordered, with mixed thumbs up/neutral by the diners. However, all gave a yummy thumbs up to the roasted brussel sprouts and side bread. As well the recommended cocktails were enjoyed. We really had a lovely time, but the meal cost-quality ratio was not ideal.
