The waiter was very friendly and informative on the dishes. Service was very attentive. Food was delicious
Great happy hour food! Good service, they helped us celebrate our anniversary, even though we were only there for happy hour! Would recommend and can’t wait to be back!
Cholon was so good! Food and service was on point. Will definitely visit again :)
Loved the food. Calamari was amazing. Crab Rangoon was perfect.
This place has all the pieces in place for a wonderful evening dining experience. Service was friendly and on point with timing and recommendations. Cocktails were well executed and started the meal on a positive note. Thoroughly enjoyed the pot stickers and dumplings. The main dish of half chicken was prepared in a unique spice rub and curry like basting- super moist and flavorful- which is often difficult to do with chicken breast. It was our first time dining here but we will return when in Denver.
Our server was very nice! Made great recommendations and we enjoyed everything we had - Wagyu beef skewers, soup dumplings & pork dumplings was the perfect start to our dinner. We had the half chicken and Brussels sprouts as our main and had to keep ourselves from licking the plate clean! We didn’t have space for dessert (2 adults and 2 kids) but the spiced doughnuts looked great!
Excellent food and service. We’re there for almost three hours though so be prepared to just relax.
Incredibly noisy, was given a terrible seat in the middle of foot traffic. Kitchen was obviously overwhelmed. And did I mention the noise? I was indoors and my friend was two feet away and I had to shout.
Everything was delicious! The only knock would be the long wait between appetizers and entrees (about 20 min). Thankfully it was worth the wait!
Those soup dumplings are ridiculous! So good, so tasty. And the pork belly bao buns were delicious. Jeremy’s bartending skills are second to none, and the entire staff was on point.
Food was incredible and they were very accommodating!
Best Calamari I have ever had! A can't miss for Asian fusion
The food here is spectacular!
We live 60 miles south and once a year visit Denver for a few nights. We always have one dinner here as it’s the best food around!
We enjoyed dining at ChoLon for dinner. We were able to try signature dumplings and share dishes with very unique and delicious flavors. We would definitely go back.
Our waiter Hogan was outstanding. Prompt service, attention to detail, and menu /drink recommendations were spot on!
Just uninspired and the small menu isn’t executed well. We were there for 3hrs and spent 170(50 tip), left hungry. Best thing was the fried rice and watermelon mai tai. Overall horrible value and probably poor management considering we didn’t even get a discount on the chicken dish that didn’t come with the scallion pancakes it was supposed to
Every single dish was incredible. If you're looking for a fun dining experience with a very knowledgeable staff and great flavor profiles, this is the place!
Average food with average presentation. All food small plates. For two of us we had shallot pancakes, pork dumplings, fried rice w chicken and crab Rangoon. Enough for our meal with no leftovers due to small portions. Ok if you are craving Asian.
The food and service is incredible! They’re short staffed at the moment so the order of the food comes out as it’s ready. Additionally, the food take a bit of time to make.
I had no where to be after so didn’t mind the delays but others with somewhere they need to be, should be aware.
The soup dumplings and pork belly bao buns are incredible starters! I think about the soup dumplings a lot. I then had the wagyu steak and the Brussels sprouts- both of which are memorable and full of flavors. I finished with Vietnamese iced coffee ice cream and donuts! The whole meal took over 3 hours but it was a great meal with great food and service.
I hope the food industry soon can hire the staff they need.
The Cho Lon staff did great with what they had. They also surprised my party with a birthday treat.
Oh my goodness this place was outstanding! Must get the soup dumplings. Everything is fresh and so flavorful. Waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. Cocktails were delicious. Highly recommend!!
I understand the server was busy, but by the third time he barked "just a minute!" at us as he sailed past, it probably would've been easier for him to just stop a moment and take our drink orders.
All three of our small plates involved cheese, which is unusual for an Asian restaurant, and nothing tasted particularly great or seemed interesting or innovative. I understand Vietnamese food has elements of French cooking in it as well, but why fill an Asian soup dumpling with French onion soup? Our third plate came *after* we paid our check and we had to remind the server about it. All three plates came to our table with a warning to wait at least 3 minutes before eating them, which I suspect is restaurant standard, but I'm pretty sure they all sat in the pass from the kitchen for at least that long before coming to our table; because none of them were hot when eaten immediately. And even if they didn't, it's a silly practice for a restaurant to put food in front of you and tell you not to eat it for three minutes. Just wait 3 minutes before bringing it to the table! Have the cook hold it for a few minutes before calling for food runners!
The food is unmatched in it’s unique and fantastic flavors! We tried half the menu and everything single item was delightful! The soup dumplings are the reason we eat here every time we visit Denver, but the corn crystal dumplings are a close second! If you are in Denver, ChoLon is absolutely worth visiting for dinner of happy hour as their cocktails are delicious!
The entire staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly, and our server David was the spectacular! This was my 4th trip to Denver in the past few years and my 4th dinner at ChoLon, they do not disappoint!
Food was delicious!! Although it took a while to come. Place was extremely busy. Waiters were very friendly and shared the best ways to enjoy the food.
Excellent experience. Food good, fun, great alternative to meat and potatoes. Service attentive but not overbearing.
The dumplings were wonderful along with the calamari and brussel sprouts. Is a bit noisy though.
Everything was amazing! The soup dumplings were so delicious, the cod great. Will definitely visit again when I’m in the Denver area.
Food was just okay for us. I understand that they tried to have a twist on Asian food but they did it in a wrong way. For example, having French onion soup in the soup dumpling is an interesting idea but it tasted strange and after all it was not that tasty (for us). It’s all about preference. Some may like it but not us.
Over all it was a good experience. Service was excellent, timing of the courses was good, we hade the soup dumplings, pork bao, ribs and Malaysian noodles. I wouldn’t order the soup dumplings again (I prefer the traditional style) but everything else was delicious. Noise level was higher than I like. We’ll probably try the Central Park location next time. It was our anniversary and they treated us to donuts, yum!
Cholon was fabulous! The Waugh beef skewers were perfectly cooked and delicious and soup dumplings were magnificent. We order a second plate of soup dumplings instead of dessert!
We made reservations based on a recommendation and WOW! This place is absolutely fantastic. Everything we ordered was amazing! Service was slow but that is everywhere right now because of people not wanting to work. But I would definitely go again. Highly recommend!
Very good, unique small plates, a really very nice experience. Definitely worth experiencing once.
In overall it was not bad but it won't be worth to be back.
The cod and chicken main dishes were unique but all small dishes were overpriced and every food was very salty.
This was our first visit to ChoLon and it might be our last. The food was excellent but the noise level was more than we could stand. The noise was not people but the music being broadcast in the restaurant. We were able to move to an outside table otherwise we would have gone to another restaurant. We like the sister restaurant, LaRoux but we did not encounter the excessive noise. The wait staff said that others have complained but the management wants it to be high. I guess they only want young people who are able somehow deal with the noise.
Great experience! Our tried and true dishes were delicious and the new chicken w rhubarb dish is now a new favorite.
I visited ChoLon a few years ago and was so excited to return. Somehow they were even better than before. We loved everything we ordered, and the servers were attentive, fun, and engaging. This spot remains my favorite place to done in Denver.
The food, atmosphere and service was incredible. Our server was so helpful guiding us through the menu and recommending options that were unique and special to ChoLon. We had (and I highly recommend them all!) the spring corn dumplings, soup dumplings, crab rangoons, pork belly bao buns, wagyu steak, brussel sprouts and calamari. Oh, let's not forget about the dessert doughnuts and sorbet. This restaurant blew my mind on flavor and execution and I can't wait to go back!!
Amazing food and excellent service. It was an anniversary dinner and could not have been better.
3 of us ate outside and shared an assortment of dishes that were all very good. Our favorite was the brussel sprouts
First time here. Will be back again for more.
