Best Asian food. All we had was appetizers as we were early but Cholon did not disappoint. Can’t wait to return.
Yummy food but AC was broken 😰. Kaya toast, crab rangoon, brussel sprouts, calamari, miso cod everything was great!!!
Always our favorite in Denver. I like to go in and just tell them to bring me food! The staff always knows what to bring. Good cocktail menu as well
Absolutely delicious small bites, fun and unique twists on dishes for their plate and wok selections, attentive, friendly service, modern yet cozy restaurant design, and convenient location downtown.
Outstanding food and service! Everything we ordered blew us away, especially the Kaya Toast!!
Amazing food. Friendly, courteous, and helpful staff. We will definitely be back.
We dined on small plates each unique and delicious!! We can’t wait to come back.
Happy Hour outside is a perfect way to start the evening! They serve their best best dishes at a happy hour prices, and the drinks are as fabulous as always. Service is top notch.
8pm reservation outdoors, table not available until after 8:30
The food was good but overpriced. Really nothing special or unusual. Also the environment and decor seemed pretty dated not at all like a fine dining experience. Been to the one in Stapleton and much prefer it.
Stopped in for happy hour and everything was so delicious. Food came out so quick.
Awesome food. Love the dumplings. come here every time I'm in town.
Food and service both fantastic, my son has a food allergy, they went above and beyond to accommodate his needs. Recommended highly!
The soup dumpling and pork buns were delicious, as were the cocktails. However, our donuts came out raw. We also waited 30 minutes for our drinks at the beginning, and 30 minutes for dessert at the end. The server was nice, but didn’t come to our table very frequently and as I said before we had to wait quite some time for our food. Maybe they are understaffed.
So glad they are back! Exceptional service and culinary delights.
This was such a unique dining experience! The menu is really creative. The soup dumplings were very different and fun for us to try. They brought out dessert for my birthday which was super sweet. Loved it.
Great food and fine server. It’s a favorite of ours
The palate was uniquely defined and wonderful! The ambiance was pleasant with outdoor seating.
Great service and the French onion dumplings are incredible!
The waiter brought soup dumplings that we didn’t order for sure, so we told him that it’s not ours. And he looked upset and told the cook that “they ordered it!!” Behind of us. We didn’t do anything wrong but felt bad. And the quality of food wasn’t good. Fish smelled fish.
I would not recommend going and sitting at the bar. Very loud, very crowded, poor service, some food was cold and mediocre. I have been here many times and have never had such a poor experience!
We love ChoLon! It was our first dinner out since the pandemic and we wanted it to be with the great team at ChoLon!
So flavorful! We were a party of 3. For appetizers we shared the crispy calamari, soup dumplings, and Wagyu beef skewers. All were delicious. Then for dinner we shared the Brussels sprouts and ground pork, Malaysian noodles, and BBQ pork ribs. Good amount of spice but not overwhelming. Since we were 3 people, waiter was attentive to adjusting portion sizes of the appetizers. Other little touches were a bowl for the eaten ribs. Our new favorite restaurant in Denver.
Amazing dumplings, amazing fried rice, amazing wagu beef!
The food was simply amazing. Great attentive service too. Visiting from Texas for 4 days. Very likely to go back. Everything we had was amazing. Soup dumplings and pork belly appetizers. Wagu beef was great.
Soup dumplings are rediculous, bau bun with pork belly great as well. Good drinks and service at the bar.
ChoLon is a special restaurant. The energetic atmosphere is matched by high quality food and tasty modern interpretations.
Happy Hour before a Red Rocks Concert. Dumplings are A+
This is one of the best restaurants in Denver. Food is fantastic and unique. Def visit
Phil was a fantastic waiter and the food was delicious!! The onion dumplings were outstanding and so unique.
In the crazy times of reopening the staff at cholon have stepped up.
Efficient but casual. I didn't see anyone hurrying dinners in or out. People were comfortably settled at their tables for the evening.
Food is great, as always. Cocktails are superb.
Get in for happy hour for some of the same delicious food at lower prices. Location is easy to get to on the 16th Street Mall. The bar seating was comfortable and lovely. The food was exquisite and the cocktails delicious.
The food and drinks were excellent. Great date night spot!
Food was great, as was Katie - look forward to our next visit. Thank You.
Absolutely amazing...everything. Thank you
We sat out on the patio on a beautiful evening. It was quieter than inside.
The food and the service were exemplary and friendly.
Plates were cleared as we completed food without the wait staff being intrusive at all.
Everything was amazing! We started with the soup dumplings, Loved the wagu beek sticks, pork bao buns, miso glazed black cod, stir-fried noodles and the potstickers. We split the dishes between the three of us and we all had plenty to eat!
Excellent selection of drinks.
Amazing rolls. Truly phenomenal.
I don't think a restaurant starts off right by letting a shabbily -dressed host tell diners with reservations that there is another reservation behind them. We were 10 minutes late in a 2-hour window. It was our anniversary and our first fancy dinner since the pandemic started. So we should eat and get going? Can do! With that out of the way, our waitress, Katie was wonderful - pleasant, polite, and attentive without being overbearing and helped us navigate the "family-style" menu. My Aperol spritz was bang on perfect, my compliments to the bartender.
The complimentary starter was a pappadam. This restaurant advertises that it is heavily influenced by the chef's travels to China and Southeast Asia. My wife and I love Indian food and pappadams but we looked at each other and went "what, why?" The calamari appetizer was hot, tender, and tasty but mentioning Korean seasonings only makes sense if it actually tastes Korean - it did not. The entrees arrived and were smaller than expected for the price and family-style descriptor. The half chicken was a quarter chicken - a breast and a wing. I'm not a big eater but bring out the dish as described, please. It was, however, very tasty with a mild Asian flavor and a really good char on the skin. The miso cod was a miss, unfortunately. The dish tasted musty, not sure if the fish was old or just that the glaze was over bearing. I ate some of it but my wife gave up after a bite. I doctored the leftovers.
It was not a terrible meal overall but I expected more given the final tab. As I am Thai and my wife is Vietnamese, we've eaten a lot of great Southeast Asian food prepared by friends and family and well as out in other restaurants. We also cook a lot of Japanese, Indian, Korean and Chinese food. We like to go out to eat to as a treat and try new takes on familiar cuisine. While the service was great, the food was underwhelming.
As longtime customers, things were noticeably off last night. Each dish was not as good as usual (Kaya Toast was much pepperier than usual; soup dumplings were undercooked and a bit doughy; noodle dish had barely any noodles; desserts were meh). We will be back, but hoping you get it together in the meantime.
