What a lovely brunch - simply perfect. The staff at Chez Mamou went out of their way to ensure that we had a table by the windows. Service was excellent - never rushed. Great wine selection which was reasonably priced by the glass. The menu perfect additional brunch options but we were able to order off the full menu. I usually don't have desert but I am happy I decided to share a desert at Cafe Mamou - excellent tarte. You will not be disappointed by the atmosphere, service, wine or food.

Went for Valentine’s dinner with friends visiting from out of town. No service for 30 mins. Then no entree for 1.5 hours while other diners came, ate, and left. No prepared for the rush. They did comp whole meal and food was good (although one order was wrong when it finally arrived). Give it a try but stay away on special occasions.

Our service was excellent. Our server recommended a great wine coupling for our dishes. All spectacular with one exception, the bread. Couldn’t believe it as all else was quintessential French.

We went to celebrate our birthdays. Unfortunately, we were disappointed in the food. Specifically, the scallops in the appetizer were over cooked and the ahi tuna in the Niçoise salad arrived cooked through, which was corrected when I pointed this out. The mussels in the main dish were ok, but not really delicious. The lemon tart for dessert was excellent. The service was excellent. The ambiance was charming. Since there were only two other tables when we got there, the noise level was low.

Everything about this restaurant was a wonderful experience except for one very serious gaffe. The gentleman who escorted us to our table made a great flourish of seating my friend by pulling out her chair while completely ignoring me. I was left standing with no indication that my chair would be pulled out. It was a bit unsettling and unexpected. Thankfully our waiter was a complete delight with just enough friendly banter to make us feel welcome. The food was excellent. I would go back.

Chez Mamou is a delightful restaurant, especially when the weather is warm and one can sit on the outdoor terrace for brunch. Our hostess, who I believe is the owner, was charming, informative and very helpful. The brunch fare (egg dishes) was first rate as was the coffee, iced tea and ambience. On the picky side, the steak of the steak frites was nicely cooked but not of the tasty cut one might find in a French bistro and the sauce au poivre was somewhat bland. The moules were tasty (wonderful broth!), but somewhat overcooked. This said, having had several wonderful brunches there in the past, I might change my choice of entrees next time I go, but you couldn't keep me away! I recommend Chez Mamou highly. It's a Santa Fe gem.

Had a remarkable beef burgonion which was tender and supported by a sauce that was earthy, yet delectable. Chicken Cordon Bleu was amazing. How can something so basic be so intracate? Had a True Myth Cab, which was a value wine that we enjoyed. Top notch service as well. A must stop in Santa Fe NM.

A nice French-styled restaurant near the center of Santa Fe. Quite small so reservations are a good idea. The service was good, but not great since there were only two people serving. The food was very tasty, I had a vegetarian dish with roasted vegetables and a very tasty broth. I thought there could have been fewer carrots and more of the other vegetables. The wine was nice, but their prices by the glass are a little high. I will eat here again.

One of the very best restaurants in Santa Fe. Great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Amazing baked goods.

Server was extremely knowledgable about the food and wine. He made excellent recommendations. My wife and I had dinner there on Monday. She and a friend went back the next morning, braving a snow storm to have breakfast. Her description of breakfast was, "Oh my god!

Wonderful French restaurant. The service, ambience and food were amazing. The wine selection made for ease of pairing without being overbearing in selection or price. Our server, Laro, made us feel welcome and at ease, treated us like favored regulars. The menu excited the palette and I’m happy to report the culinary skills of the chef met or exceeded expectations. We will definitely add Chez Mamou to our favorite dining venues when visiting Santa Fe; in fact, we might have to arrange one more visit before we return home.

We hadn't realized there was a pre-fixe menu on the holiday night. So the meal was much costlier than I expected. Also, we were among the last patrons since we came in late. Most of the food was quite good, although the clam appetizer was only fair. The shells were crumbling and hard to keep shell bits out of the clams and broth. And I have had more flavorful broth. The wine selections were outstanding, as was the service. But all in all (due to the pre-fixe menu prices) I did not find our night there to be a good value - as I have on other nights in the past.

There were several reasons I began going to Chez Mamou. The first was that it was open on Christmas Day (something that is rare in Santa Fe, a town that really DOES celebrate Christmas).

But I quickly discovered that their food is simply fantastic. I met their chef, who has been TRYING to retire for years but there is no way that Chez Mamou customers will let him . . . ever!

The pastries are wonderful but the overall French ambiance and food is simply superb. I have traveled throughout Europe, especially in France, and this little, bistro type restaurant in Santa Fe, New Mexico, serves perhaps the finest French food I have ever tasted. Five SOLID stars for Chez Mamou.

As we would say in the Navy, "Chez Mamou, thank you for a job VERY well done and keep up the good work."

Went to try to have a nice romantic Christmas Eve dinner. Table we were seated at had me right beside another person. Service was slow. Bread was amazing as were my scallops, unfortunately my wife’s lobster pocket was cold even though the bowl was hot. They ran out of soup so I had to pick something else, the beet carpaccio was good. For desert my wife had the apple tart which was good, I had the Christmas Noel desert which was ok considering it was made special for the evening. I was really looking forward to this experience but the server seemed harried and I think they added extra tables for the evening which made it noisy and crowded feeling. Not sure if we will try again, but if we do maybe for brunch

Although it was quite crowded with tables, probably more so than usual as it was Christmas Eve, we had a quiet table next to a unused bar on one side and two quiet people at the very close adjoining table. Our first surprise was that it was a prefix dinner. When I made reservations, this was one place that was showing an ala cart menu for Christmas Eve. We felt misled but stayed. We assume some who left after reading the menu had also expected an ala carte menu. The atmosphere was wonderfully Christmas like and the menu seemed quit French which were strong positives. I had fresh oysters (4) which were fine, 6 would have been better. The chestnut soup my husband had was delicious. We both ordered the breast of pheasant which was good, but dry and even a bit tough. This is part of this fowl’s reputation, so we can’t say it was badly prepared. The side dishes were delicious. Desserts there have an excellent reputation and we would agree it is deserved. Wines to accompany the meal were an extra amount that my husband chose to have. The servings were minimal, about three swallows. I ordered one glass of wine and it was double what his serving was, so he’d have been better off ordering two wines of his choice and paid less than the prefix price for two different wines.

It was our fault, but we did not know about a price-fix Christmas Eve Dinner. We really had not budgeted for it but Nouella ( Owner and friend) let us share and we were very happy. We have never been unhappy with Mamou over an eight year period. It is one of favorites.

I am a Chef from Las Vegas and an industry consultant who travels the world and I can tell you Chef Mamou is the REAL DEAL. Starting with the Croque Monsieur,Eggs Benedict and the Hand Rolled Croissants to the Mussels Frites,French Onion Soup and Escargots. The Omelettes and Quiche are amazing and the Chicken Paillard and Cordon Bleu are to die for. I am saving the nest for last however in telling you about the family that runs Chez Mamou and the incredible 100 year old pastry chef. They all ooze natural hospitality, the old fashioned way. This kind of hospitality is almost impossible to find anymore. The convivial, familial environment and the camaraderie with which they all work together in a thing of beauty to see. Then there are the pastries!!! WORLD CLASS!! The Pear Tart, the Almond Croissant, the Macaron, the Linzer tarts....what can I say...oh yeah and then there is the mother/daughter team that looks like sisters....AMAZING...you cannot make this up..they are 1 in a million!!!~

I've rated the service low because out server forgot to put our order in and we waited for a long time for our dinner. That being said, the owner stepped up and made things right for us in the end. She expressed her sincere apologies for the shortcomings. The food was very good, and with the appropriate attention to our service situation, I will try this restaurant again, and thus, I would recommend it to others.

We ate bunch here Christmas Day 2017 and came back again this year for brunch. While we have not eaten here for dinner, it is interesting to see some of the negative feedback they have received since then. We are very careful about where we choose to eat, and are the type that have expectations if we are eating at a certain kind of restaurant and paying a certain price. The service was a little slow last year, this year wasn't as busy and the service was excellent. This is the only brunch place I have been in my life that has perfectly poached eggs. Good coffee and bakery items. Definitely a proper brunch spot and worth checking out.
