Fantastic restaurant. One of my favorites in all of Naples.
Absolutely lovely experience! Wonderful service, delicious meal, comfortable environment.
A wonderful place to dine. Because of personal illness and the pandemic restrictions,
we hadn't visited in a year and a half, yet we were seated at our favorite table.
Staff was stretched because of family sickness of the owners, but our service was very good.
As usual, the food was special.
I was disappointed in Chez Boet this time. My chicken tagine was luke warm, at best, and the chicken was very dry. The onion soup was watery.....the best part was the outstanding Napoleon dessert and the Old Fashioned cocktail. The service was outstanding. I will notice that we did not complain about the food, so maybe that is our fault, but what do you say when it just isn't good?
Chez Boet is the best French cooking in all of Naples. Period.
My husband and I were very excited to have a much needed and rare date night out, and really looking forward to experiencing Chez Boet, which is nearby to our home. When we arrived at the restaurant, the person there to greet us did not have on a mask. We thought he might have forgotten he didn’t have one on or it was just a one off. He brought us our table outside— and to our dismay the tables were on top of each other. Quite literally if my husband or I even leaned back a little in our chairs we could have hit the backs of those eating next to us. We looked around and realized both inside and outside, the restaurant was clearly not trying to do anything resembling social distancing. OK, we thought. We might be OK since we were at least outside and it was a pretty windy night. As we tried to finally relax we saw one waiter and waitress after another with no mask. Our waitress came over, stood over us within inches of our faces, maskless, while filling our water glasses. We immediately made sure our masks were on, and asked, “no masks?” She said “oh don’t worry I’m vaccinated.” We quickly remarked that we, are in fact, not. And here is the real kicker, when we followed up to ask if she would be willing to put a mask on when serving us, she replied that the owners of the restaurant did not allow their employees to wear masks. Yes, I did not type that wrong. The owners DO NOT ALLOW their employees to wear masks. We quickly got up from our table and left— there was no way we could enjoy ourselves knowing that the restaurant was not taking even the smallest of precautions to keep us safe, or their employees and other diners for that matter.
FL does not have a statewide mask mandate, but Naples has a citywide mask mandate while indoors or in public spaces. The owners were in direct defiance of this order, but even more-so in the middle of a global pandemic where more than half a million Americans (and counting) have died, they showed complete disregard for human life.
Wonderful! Will definitely be back.
Fantastic chef special
Unfortunately the poor service and loud piano right by our table able couldn’t compensate for the food which was good.
Will be a long time before our party of six returns.
Service was excellent and pleasant.
The cuisine, wines and wait service were complimented by the warm hospitality extended to us by owners Lisa and Phillip. Made us feel like we were part of the Boet Family.
We went for our anniversary, just a coincidence. Always had trouble getting a reservation so this was our first experience here. Service was great,as was the food. Very noisy and parking is scarce.
There is no masks worn by any member of staff despite county/city requirements. So if you don’t card about Covid safety this is restaurant for you!
Fabulous place for dinner. Excellent! Food is amazing and service exceptional. Never been disappointed.
Do you like French food? If yes, go to Chez Boet. It’s really that simple in Naples. Skip places named “French” or after French regions like “Provence” and go straight to Boet.
This is our second visit to Chez Boet but the first visit was over a year ago. We had a wonderful meal and an excellent bottle of wine. There was apparently some issue in the kitchen because the staff apologized for how long it took for our food to be prepared. However, since we were working on a 2018 Chateauneuf-Du-Pape Matteo (which was reasonably priced), we hardly noticed. Nice people, good food. Some people were dressy, some not so come however you wish and you will be fine. Less competitive parking than you will find in 5th Ave which is a relief. The place was hopping - I noticed the owner breaking out into a run a few times when she headed to the kitchen so they really hustle.
Apparently head chef had to leave for an emergency. The restaurant was full. There didn’t seem to be a “plan B”, no backup. Communication was poor, entree’s were significantly delayed. One fish dish was partially cooked when it arrived. Unfortunate that chef had an emergency, but communication/options should have been offered.
Chez Boet has always operated at a high standard. The food, the service and the ambiance create a synergistic dining experience. We enjoyed comfortable seating with timely attention from the wait staff . The beef bourguignon was delicious as always, especially when accompanied with one of the fine choices from the Chez Boet wine list. We will return time and again.
Chez Boet was PERFECT!!! The food was incredible! Highly recommend the fondue for an appetizer! Our waitress was friendly and professional! We had the best time, and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere!
The outdoor dining was fabulous as was the food. Best French onion soup I’ve ever had!
We always enjoy Chez Boet because of the owners, the staff, our favorite banquette and of course, the food!
The waiter was outstanding, found us a small table in corner, made good suggestions, fondue appetizer was excellent, tagine just good, music was good level, cost of over $200 for 2 with 2 glasses of wine was a little high
ALWAYS the best in every way.
Our waiter mentioned the special
Went for my birthday celebration and it didn’t disappoint! A generous friend had arranged for a surprise bottle of champagne to arrive at the table and they presented it beautifully. We opted for fondue AND a main because.....it was my birthday!.....and everything far exceeded expectations. Wait staff was friendly and attentive, creating an atmosphere that invited a bit of socializing from table to table without it being intrusive. We have friends coming to town and it will definitely be in the lineup of restaurants to take them to.
It was just wonderful. We all had something different. The
Napoleons was divine.
Great owners and music is amazing
My husband and I had dinner here Saturday night. Food was delicious, and service was excellent. Owners are very warm and welcoming. Highly recommend!
In a word - SPECTACULAR!
Amazing food, exceptional service!
What a lot of fun that evening was. The hostess was very welcoming and the waiter very attuned to our needs without being intrusive. The outside table was just what we wanted and provided a street ambience that complemented our evening. The food was unforgettable. My wife came home to realize her necklace had gone missing and I called the restaurant late to see if it had been found. The hostess showed concern and promised to follow up although it proved unnecessary since we found the necklace at home later.
The food was delicious! The waiter was good but very busy so not as attentive as we would have preferred!
This is our favorite restaurant in Naples. The owners are really nice and the food is excellent.
Love the place! Our waiter was the bestg
Always a pleasure. consistently great food and pleasant staff. My wife had the beet salad and the duck liver and raved about both. I had the baby octopus (very interesting) and the filet of sole-superb. Had a lemon tarte for dessert. Would love them to do a tart tatin.
An incredible evening and wonderful meal. Steven took very good care of us.
Loved our dinner! Great food and service!
Food, is always consistent. A favorite little find for us.
The food was excellent, good wine list. Our server was attentive. Still as others have mentioned the staff were not wearing masks and no social distancing. However, we will definitely be back
Great experience! Staff went above and beyond to insure every detail was covered. The food was beyond our expectations and we will be returning frequently. Plan to sign up for the trip to France when Europe opens up. Know everyone feels differently about the Covid restrictions but it was a selling point to us that no masks were required. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Always enjoy our meals at Chez Boet. Only disappointment was none of the staff were masked.
