   Food, service and ambiance was excellent. we had the vegan meal (4-course) which was incredible. Taste, texture was excellent! We also tried the salmon dish which was also outstanding! We will be back and will invite our friends to join us.

   Visited Charcoal Bistro during Restaurant Week and had a great time! Everyone we came in contact with was very pleasant and the food was delicious. Portion sizes were good, except for the biscuit and pimento cheese, but that's probably a good thing because I could eat about 20 of them!! Looking forward to coming back very soon!

   Went for Denver Restaurant Week. Appropriate amount of food for $45 price - not too little like sometime DRW is known for. Enjoyed the biscuit with pimento cheese, bacon wrapped dates, and short ribs. Also ordered bread w honey and garlic butter - yum! Dessert was just okay - reheated/hard brownie with an attempt at enhanced vanilla ice cream with caramel or something. Downside: horrible smell emanating throughout the restaurant - something from a sewer line? My friend said they wouldn't go back - wasn't impressed with her alcoholic drink, fried chicken, and the smell.

   Food was amazing, but took a very long time to get through our meal. Server could have been more engaging and friendly. Front of the house was great. Overall would absolutely eat here again

   We went based on some next door reviews and being restaurant week thought we would see the best of what this restaurant had to offer. Our drinks came fast after we ordered. That should have tip us off to the fast service between courses. We had baring finished our first course when the main course showed up. We had to move the first course dishes away to make room for the main. Luckly we had not pre-ordered our deserts. The first courses were good. Our mains were ok. Nothing outstanding about the presentation or taste. The deserts were disappointing. New York cheese cake was tasteless and the brownie was doughy in the middle. For the price we paid it was not worth the over $100 meal (for 2).
