Lovely evening celebration, amazing meal, which made the stale bread a minor, odd surprise. Everything else was perfect as was the service. Very much appreciated the staff recognizing our celebration! Thanks so very much!

My wife and I have been fortunate to have eaten at some of the finest restaurants in the world and this now ranks amongst them. For instance: I've eaten escargot countless times in the past 50 years and not only were theirs by far the best escargot I've ever had but they may have been the best appetizer I've ever had. From start to finish, every bite of food was a delight. It goes without saying that the ambiance and the service matched the food. Highly, highly recommend.

Lovely interior surroundings with attentive @ervice followed by exquisite food presentation. Somewhat limited menu but several noteworthy nightly specials. The food was wonderful and am looking forward to returning to experience some of the other menu items.

When visiting Newport RI, Chanterelle is a must. We NEVER go to Newport without a fantastic dinner at Chanterelle. We've enjoyed this restaurant many times. Food and service are outstanding.

The name may changed but everything is just how I remembered when it was The Bouchard Inn…captain Dan did not disappoint with French martinis to the perfect wine pairing and ended the night with expresso martinis. The food was incredible from the bread to escargot, lobster bisque,filet mignon, lobster scallop dish and ended the night with the grand marnier soufflé…bravo

Lovely fine dining in Newport. Mushroom and asparagus puff pastry appetizer and a simple green salad with blue cheese, pepitas, and roasted squash were both exquisite, with balanced and complimentary flavors, as were the pork and filet entrees. Presentation is stunning. Wine list is very good and varied. Captain Dan and team took very good care of us, helping us with wine pairings and overall just totally attentive to service. The grand marnier soufflé never disappoints. We sat in the front and the ambiance was delightful and light. A spectacular special occasion or date night venue.

What an amazing meal. I felt like I was back in Paris. The chef has created a menu that is smaller, but perfects what he does. The seasonings, aromas, and tastes were all fresh and exciting to the palate. My wife and I know we will be back. Bravo.

One rather noisy woman sitting next to us, didn't spoil the joy we experienced as we dined on the most delicious and beautifully presented meals that we selected for our 47th wedding anniversary. Our go-to restaurant for special occasions since Chanterelle, opened in 1995 as Restaurant Bouchard. Everything was wonderful and this restaurant never disappoints us. Nick was a wonderful waiter and the young man who helped with water refills, removing plates, etc. was equally superb. (So sorry I didn't catch his name. Our wishes for MANY years of success.

Had to ask for silverware and have dirty dishes cleared. Waiter was indifferent the whole night. Food good but not up to self promoted quality. Not a great experience. Would not return or recommend.

This restaurant never disappoints. Our dinner from start to finish was exceptional and staff was truly went above and beyond to help us celebrate our Anniversary. The new owners have put their stamp on the restaurant and changed the decor which is upscale and pleasant.

An absolutely exquisite dining experience. Friendly warm and inviting from the moment we walked in. The attention to detail and care in each course and its presentation is a thing of beauty. Forget what you know about lobster bisque. This is next level delicious. My daughter had the duck and I had the dover sole. Michelin star ready right now. Portions were excellent. The pear dessert and Grand Marnier soufflé were perfect. The server even replaced my coffee cup and coffee because she felt it wasn’t warm enough as she was pouring it. To me that shows real pride in how a restaurant is led and run. Dress up a little and treat yourself to some of the best French cooking outside of Paris.

Outstanding top notch restaurant. The Chef is amazing. She prepares the best meals I have ever eaten. The service is the finest I have ever received. This restaurant also caters to all dietary needs especially Celiac Disease and Gluten free dining. We have eaten here too many times to count and it has always been the perfect dining experience. This is a must when you visit Newport RI and worth the trip in to Newport for their food.
