Gnocchi
Dumpling. The word gnocchi is thought to come from nocca, which means knuckles, or from the Lombard word knohha, which means knot (such as wood knot) or walnut—all words that imply the small, tight, rounded shape of gnocchi that we know today

Great meal and service. The ambiance was great as well. A new go-to for sure
The Rabbit Gnocchi was exquisite as always, I highly recommend this dish. The texture and flavor profiles are unlike any dish I’ve ever had. The oysters are also a must when you visit Cattivella.
will definitely be going there again. the happy hour was a bargain
Waited too long for service and food wasn't all that great. We were at the restaurant for 2 1/2 hrs. when we only should've been there for 1.
We love Cativella it was wonderful food great service always our favorite
Food was pricey and entrees did no include a salad, soup or bread.
Delicious food and amazing service.
Amazing food! Everything we had from the oysters to the pasta, pizza and desserts were over the top. We had a great server and the owner and chef came around which made the overall dinning experience so much better. This is our new favorite spot and will be back all the time!
5 stars
The food and service were impeccable! Sit at the "bar" overlooking the the kitchen if at all possible. With food personally served by the head chef, it was amazing.
Cattivella has become my favorite restaurant! The food is wonderful & different, & the service is exceptional.
I plan to introduce many of friends to Cattivella!
Great. Great food. Casual
Dined inside. Tried the Rabbit Gnocchi and it was very good but quite rich and the tarragon was strong.
Lamb ragu was earthy and excellent.
Pizza was ok. Cheese with arugula. Nice meal overall
The Mardi Gras celebration was traditional and excellent.
Food good service good restaurant good
Dissappointed with my first time at this restaurant, however it was Valentines Day dinner. I would like to try again on a non-holiday.
Reservafioms at 8:30. Very slow service (they were very busy). It took 10 minutes for the waiter to come to our table for drink orders after we were sat. I wanted the gnocchi so badly but I ordered and they were out. The waiter apologized for not saying this earlier. I ordered a dosh from the menu that showed a cured egg on top instead. My husband's meal came out as well as a pizza for my son however I added chicken to my meal and they said it wasn't ready. Waited about 10 addiotnal minutes for my food to arrive. My husband's dish was great. When my food came, it was completely different than what the menu showed and said it was. Essentially I got grilled chicken and cheese noodles. It was edible but not what I asked for or wanted. The waiter was very nice and offered a free dessert even though I did not complain. With drinks the meal was over $100 which would of been ok if everything went well.
Had a lovely Valentine’s dinner!
I just love this place so much 🥰 the food and service are always amazing. Perfect date night restaurant.
Our most favorite restaurant in Denver!! Seriously, RUN, don't walk to Cattivella - you will not be disappointed.
Great neighborhood restaurant. A little pricey, but excellent food.
Very good food, small portions, skimpy drinks, unremarkable service, and grotesquely overpriced.
love this place. wish they had alittle bigger space, as it feels cramped, but they did space people out on every other table. outdoor dining will be nice this summer. Wonderful service, everything is fabulous. jWe shared the goat cheese flatbread. Wow! That could have been our dinner! So good! We shared a salad which is plenty for 2. I had the ribeye which is alittle pricy, but really wonderful. Enough for a leftover dinner. My boyfriend had the lamb bolognese which was outstanding. Huge chunks of lamb and great housemade pasta with more of a broth than a heavy sauce. We had the molten chocolate dessert, again enough for 2. And every bite was heaven! our special to go place for celebrations!
Always love going to Cattivella. I feel like it's an underrated gem in the Denver dining scene. I got the pasticcio and my partner had the lamb ragú; both were excellent. I'll continue coming back here
Always hits the spot w the food and service
We went to Cattivella for my boyfriend’s bday. It was wonderful as always. Great food, drinks, and service. We usually end up here at least once a month. Don’t miss out!
Dined here last Tuesday with some good friends visiting from Gunnison.
Having sold my Italian restaurant last September I am thrilled to find a restaurant with delicious authentic Italian fare. Alex, our server was a delight and very attentive. His recommendations for the wine and entrees were spot on. Like General MacArthur ... We shall return!!
This is one of our favorite restaurants. Always a great experience!
Great food
We requested outside seating to try to be safe in a pandemic while still supporting a local restaurant. It was cold outside and we were the only ones sitting outside. They fired up two heaters for us, then ignored us for 15 minutes out in the cold. We left.
Always amazing food and service! Best Italian in east Denver!
Always a pleasure to eat at Cativella. We had the meat and cheese plate which is ALWAYS good! And of course, sausage pizza. The waitress was perfectly attentive! Thank you!
Great food and service! Although the menu is not large, everything we had was fantastic!
Lovely food and really good service. Good wine selection. It’s tucked into a strip mall in a big box restaurant type structure, so it lacks charm and ambience...but there is easy parking and it’s large so...trade-offs?
Happy Hour when it’s warm outside for CO winter is 100% worth it
Great neighborhood restaurant with character and ambiance.
Great atmosphere, great food. I had the lamb ragu, hearty and perfect for winter. The staff was attentive and polite.
This is my favorite restaurant in Denver. The chefs are amazing and the food is perfect all the time!!
Sit at the Chef’s counter. You won’t regret it.
Cattivella has an awesome happy hour menu, drinks and food! The service was equally good. I will go there again.
We’ve been going to Cattivella for years. Never disappoints! So happy to have this place in our neighborhood! Great staff and one thing I admire the most...the owner is actually there and works like she is part of her own staff!
Delicious meal and friendly, excellent service. We came for Happy Hour and enjoyed a great meal at great value.
