Perched above the dynamic streets of the West Hollywood design district on the corner of Melrose & San Vicente, Catch LA has something for everyone in seamless transitions from daytime to dining, nightlife, and events. With its signature open kitchen and breathtaking views of downtown Los Angeles & the Hollywood Hills, the 340 seat retractable rooftop haven invites the outside in as it marries simple, yet elegant, seafood, sushi, & steak with a unique, open-air dining room, excellent service, and a lively atmosphere.
Reservations are seated based on availability at arrival and are allocated 90 minutes to dine once seated. Full party be present to be seated & we allow a 15 minute grace period. Dress code is smart casual. Refusal of service for inappropriate dress is at discretion of mgmt. Outside cake/beverage not permitted. Catch is a mature adult setting, not recommended for children. Guests under the age of 21 must complete their visit by 8pm.

When in town, this is always one of my stops. Absolutely love the food and atmosphere. Sadly, this time our service was lacking. The waiter seemed to have an attitude & even more so when we asked to cancel our dessert order. We were all so full from the appetizers and main meal that we could not possibly eat dessert. Once we asked him to cancel the order, he seemed so bothered, annoyed, and over serving us. Normally the staff is excited to serve you, but can’t say the same for this experience.

Because most of the orders are shared plates they turn tables quickly. I felt a little bit rushed, but overall great food and great service. $20 valet fee is a bit steep.

One of my fave spots in LA. Ambience and the view are perfect, door and hostess service are professional. Good menu to choose from. If you’re looking for a date night place, friends-night-out or visiting and and just want to get a good West Hollywood vibe with “instagram” opportunities and celebrity sightings, then you won’t be disappointed with Catch LA. It’s a vibe.

I mentioned that it’s my mother’s birthday and I wanted the staff to congratulate my mother, but they forgot. The food portions are sooo tiny, even not for one people. The noise was awful, all time we just were lister to our neighbors speeches and yellings. Overall I can say that I will not be back again.

The food was amazing, highly recommend the truffle butter filet, the pretzel bread, the surf n turf sushi roll, and the doughnuts. The decor was beautiful. Only complaint is it was too noisy

I made reservations a week ahead so we had no problem getting upstairs and we were seated pretty quickly. Super cute place for pictures opps! Dress to impress but not a super dressy environment. The food was amazing!! My husband ordered two of their sushi and I got the 8oz filet. We also couldn’t leave without trying the famous #HitMe dessert which was actually pretty good! I’m usually skeptical with chocolate desserts being gross and dry but it was the cherry on top to finish our meal! The only thing I didn’t really like was that we were sat at a table where my husband was facing the brick wall and didn’t get to enjoy the ambiance. It can fall short in that for those that get stuck facing the walls. Service was also great and very friendly! Our waiter was very knowledgeable came over to check on us often and water was refilled quickly once drank half way.

When you go to an expensive dinner like this, you are expecting 5 star service... Our server was extremely pushy and rushed us to order all dishes at the same time. She grabbed our menus from us and said if we wanted anything additional we would have to ask for the menus again instead of just keeping one at the table. Appetizers and main dishes came at once; my family and I were overwhelmed and had barely any time to enjoy the food on such a special occasion. I've been to lots of nice restaurants but have NEVER experienced such poor service as I did here at Catch LA.

The food and service was amazing. However, it is extremely loud to the point that you’re unable to hear the person you’re having dinner with. I couldn’t even hear the music they were playing because all I could hear was the conversations from everyone else. Also, your table is extremely close to the next table. It’s a very tight space.

We blew over $1,000 on one of the most overrated dining experiences I’ve ever had. Our server was terrible, dinner took over 3 hours. I wouldn’t recommend anyone ever go here, don’t waste your money. Overhyped, if you’re a foodie who values a good dining experience you will hate it here.

I had the Miso glazed sea bass and it was tender and made perfectly but I couldn’t taste the fish too much because the miso glaze was very salty. Truffle fries were perfect. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They were medium cut. Also, made reservation, showed up 15 min late and still waited 45 min. Why make reservations?

You’re paying for the vibe and the people watching! Prices are inflated to reflect the vibe. Food isn’t great but edible. Just know going in you’re gonna get rinsed value wise and you’ll have a great time. Amazing ambiance.

It was weird that we had to check in downstairs and then sent up to the elevators. Once up the elevators the hostess did not greet us, we just stood there and had to flag a hostess down and asked where to go. It was then that the hostess told us to wait at the bar. We were shown to our table on the patio but no option to sit indoors. The food was good but not spectacular. The server was ok too. Overall, the ambiance/decor was nice but not worth coming back.

I have been to catch several times in the past and was very pleased by their service in the past. This time I was very disappointed. I reserved this place for 8 people far in Advance for my baby shower/sprinkle and when we arrived they gave us a table suitable for 6 people in the heat outside with the temp of 85 degrees. When we told the server we have 3 pregnant women and that table is not suitable for us we were confronted by the manager that that a rude response that she is unable to give us any other seats when the place was maybe at 40% capacity. Very disappointed, won’t be coming back.

You can’t deny the food and drinks here are fantastic. However, to make someone wait 40+ min at a bar (with no barstools) after arriving on time for their dinner reservation is completely absurd and unacceptable. As much as I love the food I don’t know if I’ll be returning. Very disappointed.
