Carmine's McGregor Square
Artichoke hearts, portobello mushrooms, and spinach in a pomodoro sauce
Boston and arugula, toasted pistachios, fresh sliced pears, gorgonzola cheese, and a pear cider vinaigrette
Medallions lightly breaded and fried, baked with marinara and melted mozzarella
Food was good, not great. Could’ve been hotter. Waiter was really in to up selling. They also need to fix their pay on the phone app, when you pick a preset percentage for the tip it is based on product cost and tax. Gratuity shouldn’t be based on the tax.
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. Great for everyday dining or special occasion
Great in every way. Loved the atmosphere and food was exceptional. Will definitely be back!
I loved this place.
The food was amazing and our waitress Michelle knew the menu soooo well and she was super sweet
Hostess was a bit rude but waiter was very nice. Food was delicious- restaurant was very pretty but we were near the door which was a bit cold. It’s a small restaurant so I don’t think it could be avoided. We enjoyed our meal!
News years Eve dinner with sons from Canada who have not been home for the holidays for 3 years. Carmines is a great atmosphere with wonderful food and a great wine list. Service was polished but friendly. My 2nd visit - will continue to frequent.
Food was bad. All sauces were over reduced and incredibly salty. Meatballs were pasty in texture. Chicken was tough. Salad over dressed. No kids menu. The table side service is weird… they just take it from a plate and put it on another plate to set in front of you.
The service, the food portions, the food quality, the martinis, the restaurant location = exceptional. My favorite place to dine at McGregor Square.
Service was amazing! Our party was cold every time the door opened. Food was good!
Good service from Mateo and the host. Split the Rolitini and Beef Short Ribs dish, too much food for two and it was delicious. The Gorgonzola polenta is awesome.
My family and I dine at Carmine's on Pennsylvania location before every Christmas, we chose this location this year since it was new and love downtown. 15 min into our dinning experience I was second guessing our decision. Rachel, our server didnt acknowledge our existence for 15 min and when she finally came to greet our table she never explained the specials. We ordered a few bottles of wine and 3 starters. AN HOUR LATER our appetizers hit the table, not once did a manager or server come over to update us on the delay. After asking, we received garlic knots but no parmesan cheese. Since our starters we're delayed our entrees we're ultimately delayed. Once the entrees hit the table, Rachel and Arthur nevered offered to help plate our guests, we've been to Carmine's on Pennsylvania multiple times and even with 15ppl they plate our entrees, when mentioned to Aurtur the manager, he became combative and argued with me on our past experiences. We finished up quickly since we were clearly not welcomed. At one point our whole table watched Laura and Aurtur take shots behind the bar, apparently getting loaded is more important than your guests. This location is a far cry from the Carmine's on Pennsylvania. I guess expecting the same standard of service across these two locations is too much to ask. This was the one night our whole family was available to dine together with people traveling from out of town, this was supposed to be a good night and was far from that.
It was our first visit and we had a great experience! The food and service were great! There was a cold air breeze to our table every time the door opened so dress warm. It was a cold December evening. We will be back to enjoy the patio in warmer weather.
The staff was great and the food and cocktails even better. This will be on my list every time I come back to Denver.
Quite a story but suffice it to say we had 5 revolving servers that did not appear to communicate with each other. 35 mins to get our first cocktails and long waits between courses. The food was pretty good though did not look appetizing. House salad was good and the house rolls are great. No apology or acknowledgement for the chaotic service, not even a round of drinks on the house. Probably won’t go back.
Food was amazing! Service was even better! Waitstaff was friendly, welcoming, and had great recommendations on food pairings.
Had a great experience at the new location. We had a holiday dinner with friends. Service was outstanding!
Always a great place to take a friend or biz associate.
I cant say that I was blown away. Same menu as Carmines on Penn but the food was not the same. Very mediocre Italian at best. Will continue to go the OG location on Penn though
We really enjoyed our dinner at Carmines last night. All the waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The food was wonderful, plentiful and large 2 person portions. Loved the “Sicilian Mule” cocktail with vodka, lemoncello & ginger beer! The linguine & clams was excellent. Just a great night! We will be back!
Menu is hard to see on the wall, portions are massive which is a plus. Good bang for your buck and upscale experience
We really enjoyed our food and the staff was great.
Our server was Brittany and she was amazing! Great service by the entire staff. The food was fantastic and priced incredibly well.
So good!!! The food here is incredible. Great for a date night. Highly recommend and we will be back!
Server was different…he took away our wine glasses when we ordered a bottles of Chianti. Then when it came to serve he had to go back a couple times to get glasses. He said you guys can hang out and if you need drinks, I’ll get you drunk.
We had a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday. Sadie was our server and she was fantastic! She was super helpful with ordering from the family style menu. Food was great and we felt very well served without being “bothered” by them. Such a fun place to go in McGregor Square.
Great lunch choices. Can't wait to try it for dinner.
From hello, the service and food quality is consistently exceptional.
The food was excellent and the service was great!
Not worth the money. Food okay but not worth it. Service was awful.
Just not sure why not fish dinners without pasta but good!
My friends and I want to preface by saying we know everyone is short staffed and we also work in hospitality so we get it. But, I think the bartenders need a lesson is making Moscow mules, there is no olive oil or butter for the faint garlic bread you get. We asked for a Caesar salad with the dressing on the side and I’m so glad we did! Not only did we have to send it back and wait 15 minutes for a naked salad to return but someone was very heavy handed with the anchovies in the dressing. It was to the point where it was inedible. The rest of the food was fine. Nothing extraordinary or note worthy. We eventually complained to the manager about some smokers outside and am shocked no one at the bar complained first. I truly hate being a complainer but I think restaurants needs to step up their game and I also think everyone should look happy to be at work serving people instead of looking like Patriots fans after they lose a game.
The service was excellent! It was a beautiful restaurant in a nice area.
Zero description of menu items and many traditional dishes are made very none traditional. Pasta choices are very limited and just taste like what you buy at the store for 2.19. Reviews suggest this is one of the top places in Denver. I hope Denver food isn’t this bad everywhere.
Wish they were wearing masks
We love Carmine’s on Penn and were excited to try the newer location. The food was excellent just as we remembered, however the wait staff was way less than to be desired. She was defensive regarding everything we asked for including that we did not actually order another drink. It was also not removed from our tab, but instead we were told we did order it. We confronted her about this and she again disputed. Finally we were given new wait staff who was great, although I do believe it would be been reasonable for the management to come and speak with us about the change. Also, it would have been really appreciated to discount our tab for the horrible initial service. But alas…
Loved it. Highly recommend. A little cramped but we did ok. Would definitely go back.
Too loud. Back room so loud we had to practically shout to each other.
Wonderful food and service in a great location. Will definitely eat here again.
A perfect birthday dinner for my Dad!
